I'm sure there's more to their userbases beyond the stereotypes, but feel free to voice your own mental images of the users there.

It was people I worked with irl that were into reddit and twitter. I only went there for gaming stuff. I found 4chan on my own and I just used to look at the futa stuff. /d/ I think it was? Maybe it was a different one I'm not sure. It was a long time ago.

4chan: 12 - 16 year old suburban teens going through an edgelord phase and 30+ year old NEETs who never left their edgelord phase (or their parents' basement for that matter)

Reddit: Pseudo-intellectuals who like making a facet of who they are their defining characteristic (atheism, veganism etc) and teenagers who think their incredibly basic taste in memes like Big Chungus and Pickle Rick somehow makes them cultured.

Twitter: Clout chasers, self-righteous slacktivists and failed journalists.
Take care of yourself

I am pretty sure that Twitter is the only place in history where humans have reached complete Hivemind Collectivism. Reddit is just a bunch of soyboys sharing their soy-infused opinions with other soyboys.

Outside of the stereotypes.. Twitter users generally look for art or memes, it's also a good platform for artists to showcase their work. My mental image of Reddit is a dumpster fire for bad graphic edits and memes. 4chan is probably where the dark web begins. Other platforms I can think of are Instagram and Facebook.... Instagram users are usually marketers, and Facebook is for the stereotypical business people.

reddit is maybe, still a form of a hive mind but at least now they let me browse reddit on phone without forcing me to install their spyware. 4 chan can be a good breeding place for school shooters.

And I also started reddit recently to join my few fav. YT creator's subreddit.

It's always been something of an interest of mine to see how people's experiences can shape their impressions of things. Like I guess that answer is the safest and arguably most realistic I suppose.

From my experience twitter is filled with stans from series, characters, teams and personalities there are all types of them and they tend to spend most of their time coming up with takes trying to gas up whatever they're into some can be fun but others are pretty annoying especially the ones stanning characters and people. There are also a fair number of fan artists, cosplayers and just regular folks.

Reddit on the other hand is a but more chill, I've only been there for a year or so but I can really think of the entire r/animeme fiasco, I think the Karma system kinda makes it hard for people to stir things up.

I've never been on 4chan but it seems to be the internet version of the far west from what I've heard.

I think of the average Redditor to be an overweight weirdo who obsesses over random people on the internet giving him virtual pats on the back for saying something that the majority of the community will agree with.

Everyone uses Twitter.

A wide variety of people use Reddit (check popular subreddits).

4chan is probably the closest thing to a complete match of its stereotype.

Twitter: Lower common denominator type of people mixed with rabid circlejerkers
4chan: Degenerates and people who are in welfare support.

Would have also giving examples from this forum, but I have been warned that is not Ok to attack other people. But when I think about 4Chan, I think about Random people who attack You because of Ur ideas and hold Kontroversial and insane opinions

all the terrible people from our generation are attracted to reddit like moths to the light. not sure why the posts there are so pathetic. maybe because of the down voting. only mediocre conformist trash can withstand it. this is not limited to politics. for a couple of weeks i was obsessed with asoiaf theories. i would read everyday about it on different boards. the quality of the asoiaf subreddit is inferior to most other sites. even though it has the highest userbase.

Reddit is just rehashed jokes over and over again, with random astroturfing and propaganda campaigns being masked as organic posts, unfunny and pathetic circlejerks from people who wants upvotes and repetitive opinions getting to the surface because people who upvote tends to do so to what makes sense for them. It is useless outside of daily type of threads where downvotes doesnt matter as much and a source of material and news that are not in subreddits big enough to get spammed by idiots

4chan- Super mixed but usually the internet ppl, sometimes trolls
Reddit- Either super chill people with lots of knowledge and theories or a small amount of passive aggressive ppl who would flaunt how they r cultured and they r superior
Twitter- not sure because i have it blocked but I did block bc they cancel alot and hate for no particular reason (probably bored or making trying social media like some highschool hierarchy)

Depends on the communities on each website. I use all of those but I stay within certain groups in each.

4chan boards have their own unique cultures and slang. /r9k/ hates normal people that have decent lives, /a/ is okay enough to have anime discussion, and /b/ is for either new people who just found the site or huge degenerates. Every board has it's own personality but generally they are all very edgy.

Subreddits could be more about any topic so it's dumb to generalize that whole website too. Subreddits can be anything from anime to religious subs that might hate anime. Not every subreddit is the same and has all different kinds of people. It's what you make of it, the stereotypes about the admins on that site are true I must say.

Twitter users vary from who you follow too. I only follow Japanese artists or Japanese people that seem cool, a lot of them are really chill and I don't have any issues with the site. On twitter you could either follow political racialists or friendly people who don't care about politics.

I went on way too long than I should have but I think you are starting to get my point. Every one of those sites can't really fit a certain stereotype because it's what you make of them; not everyone is the same there.

The users of 4chan, Reddit, and Twitter are diverse and vary depending on the specific community or subreddit within the platform. 4chan is associated with a younger, male, technically-savvy user base, Reddit has a wide range of users from different ages, genders, and backgrounds, and Twitter is used by a wide range of people, including individuals, businesses, media outlets, and celebrities.
Reddit has the strangest community and people often judge you by the karma you have.
