 Hello welcome on my profile,I'm an economics and finance student from Western Africa currently living in Turkey. I've been a fan of anime for quite a long time. I'm open to anything and everythng as long as it's interesting. My rating system follows the MAL guideline and my scores are ever changing since I tend to think about shows weeks after I've finished. I no longer take random friend requests. My favourite genres are shounen, SoL, mystery, drama, ecchi and seinen Other things I like include football (fav team Man united), A song of Ice and Fire universe, wrestling, video games and comics to a lesser extent. |

Thank you for your reply. Sorry about that, I had closed my comments of non-friends due to AllenVonStein's alternative accounts who kept posting pornographic images on my profile... Hopefully your experience will be better in the CE club. People have been relatively civil so far.

I'm not sure whether the 1985 one is a prequel, but they are both in the same series anyway so enjoy!
Well Vampire Hunter D and Castlevania(a pretty popular series) do share many elements. Some have described VHD as being cliche as well, and they're not totally wrong. I think that's why it may seem familiar to many. Oh, not to mention the cult classic Vampire Hunter D that came out in 1985.
Well hope you can get to what you want to get to, lol.
If you want this darker style I'd recommend watching Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, which is the EPITOME of darkness in anime.
I love Kawajiri's animation style so I really liked it. It's not as good as some of his other works but still very good. I loved the atmosphere of it, and the soundtrack. The art was nostalgic as well, I kept seeing those people in the sunglasses and I'm like, hey that's pretty cool lol.
