THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
I thought the mind games made this episode pretty thrilling. We got the continous battle against Oasis as he continues show off his abilities. Secco really makes clever use with his Stand.

Tons of action too this episode as I had expected. I'm actually quite impressed by Oasis/Secco.

Liked the episode, we got to see our french boy Polnareff at last, and it seems like the Green Day & Oasis arc is finally over. Our second best boy Doppio also appeared, and it seems that something is about to go down. Next episode's titled "His name is Diavolo", which is an episode many have been waiting for for a long time. Also, for anyone wondering, Polnareff has the same voice actor, so don't worry.

Overall, 5/5

The Oasis fight in general wasn't that much good in manga but anime made this enjoyable, we're finally entering to the final arc of part 5 judging by next episode title. I have high expectations for that especially in the animation quality.

Lol KENN's monologues as Secco were pretty enjoyable. Polnareff is finally seen clearly and he's a cripple now having one of the arrows too. Sadly, Bruno's time is finally reaching its end since his body started decomposing and he is slightly losing his senses. And we officially reached the final act.

I'm sure most of us can agree that the Cioccolata fight was awesome and the 7 pages Muda beatdown is one of the most iconic scenes of the series, but this fight of Bucciarati against Secco was wonderful too. Secco was a tough opponent under his silly personality, I kind of forgot how deadly Oasis could be. The scenes of the underground battle were also a treat to watch.

The part where a dying Secco fell into the garbage truck was pretty kekworthy tho, but fitting considering how ridiculous Secco was. Gonna miss his thicc ass, but that's what he got for trying to take best boy as a hostage. Very worried for Bucciarati at the end though...

Nice to see best Frenchman Polnareff is back (was very obvious in the last episode, but now it has been officially confirmed that he was the mysterious man helping Bucciarati's gang, so...), though in a pretty bad state.

I love how Diavolo came out for a really short moment to see what the situation was, when he saw Bucciarati he knew there was no danger whatsoever, so he let Doppio be in control again.

The fight between Bucciarati and Secco was so good, man. Shows the signature Jojo 4D chess mind games at its best. Secco eating mud was pretty nasty. I didn't expect the boss to already be here, much less for Secco to try and take him hostage. Curious to see what the boss is going to do to Bucciariti next episode. I'm also interested to see what's going to happen to Bucciarti's body. This is getting pretty exciting.

If you mean by the time he was underground, he was trying not to make any noise.

ok but it's hilarious how Polnareff was just watching Bruno get his ass whooped throughout the whole fight. The fight itself was fun to watch that trash reunion at the end tho

It feels like time is running out for Bruno, he is one of my favorite characters so it will be tough to say goodbye to him :(

Next week's episode title: "His Name is Diavolo."

Oh shit. Hold your braces. We're finally gonna get the anime reveal of the boss himself. Can't wait for the dramatic reveal!

Also, Secco vs. Bucciarati was a more thrilling spectacle than Ciocolatta's fight last week. On that note, I'm confused as to how Bucciarati was able to teleport underground with Sticky Fingers. Was the ground liquified from Secco's ability? If it wasn't than I don't get his body was able to move through solid rock.

Maybe the breathing is unconscious. I guess that's the "life power" Giorno gave to him, which is mostly fading away now.

Too much re-used animations and long-ass monologues from Swimsuit Billy.
There were also some really ugly still frames.

Other than that, the end was pretty good. Ok episode overall, just.... not good.

This was the weaker part of the duo's fights but its still fun, it was way more worth it solely for the surprise cameo of doppio/diavolo at the end.

But hell yes here we go final arc time. Everyone strap yourself the fuck in its gonna get pretty crazy these next few episodes

I'm surprised at just how much more I enjoyed this arc in the anime. Easily one of the strongest arcs of the part, glad DP have been doing such a stellar job recently too. The past few episodes have been back-to-back greatness, if they keep up this pace the finale will be so fucking good.

Considering you bitched heavily about CGI cars in the earlier eps you clearly don't know what an unhealthy production looks like lmao. This ep had tons of good animation, the art was on point and consistent and so was the direction too. Like, seriously, the amount of creativity shown in this episode's direction was top notch https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/79146 big moments like this made it feel like DP were just bringing the manga to life, especially impressive considering how consistent the art was too with it being pretty much always on-model and quite pretty looking numerous times throughout the ep. The amount of character expressed in Secco alone made his character so much more memorable in the anime compared to the manga, they went all out to make the final 2 minor villains a lot more enjoyable.

If you want an example of an "unhealthy" production, watch another show airing this season, OPM S2.

They kinda gave away Polnareff's identity in the last episode, with his hairstyle shadow. But nonetheless this was enjoyable as always.

Bucciarati was impressive in defeating Secco! What I liked about the episode was that the Boss was closer to them than they think, Best villain ever!

It's nice to see Polnareff fully introduced now. As for Secco, he talking to Cioccolato's corpse before turning his throat into mud is new though.

People always talk about Giorno vs Ciocolatta, but for me Buccellati vs Secco was always the real main event. Just like Buccellati said, the screaming retard was the real danger.

Just so you guys remember, Secco is naked for a non-stand user.

So we finally reach the last part of this season. The next arcs are going to be real crazy, but they are nowhere near my favorites from Vento Aureo.

I am also really curious about the OP, and how will change at the end (if it changes, but I think they will do the tricks again).

I feel like I didn't really care for this fight too much tbh but it was still entertaining to watch. We got Polnareff formally introduced (or I guess re-introduced) and the suspense is ramping up with Doppio just conveniently being on the scene lol.

It’s the same, but he’s more serious and less of a clown now so it may sound a bit different. Also, he is 13 years older and has gone through pretty twisted shit.

Nice conclusion to Secco. The trash duo were finally reunited.
You thought they’re somehow bonded in a twisted way, but the pet actually wasn’t loyal at all while the scum master genuinely cared a little bit about his pet.

The Buccellati vs Secco fight showcased again how versatile Sticky Fingers can be and how perfectly Buccellati has developed his stand ability.
Actually, both of them utilized their abilities quite well in this ep. Secco’s mud spikes are pretty impressive, it’s hard to watch Buccellati getting pierced tho.
Sticky Fingers pulled out some Crazy Diamond technique of punching through the hostage.

Despite how cool Polnareff’s new look is, it’s hard to neglect how much he’s been messed up.

BTW, I can’t believe they stopped at that point.
