| Holy shit, this is really impressive. Gon seems like a really cool guy, Kurapika and Leorio, too. For some reason I predicted that Leorio was going to say "money!", that was a bit funny. Also, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas ED FTW! |

Looking forward to have a good time watching this (Which was animated by MADHOUSE!) After watching HxH 1999 + HxH OVA + HxH OVA GI + HxH OVA GI Final... I finally reached HxH 2011. | Ah hell yeah! Let's go off on an adventure and catch some pokemons....Oops wrong show. Anyways, this episode started off with strong hook. Gon is the typical shounen protagonist that is determined to achieve his goal. And so the legend begins! 5/5 |

| The first episode is very wonderful and drawing has somehow improved to a great extent and I liked the character of Gon and kurapika I love this anime from the beginning it shows that he is anime more than wonderful It seems that he will be very beautiful |
| And thus my long journey of watching Hunter x Hunter begins! I liked the first episode. I'm not completely hooked yet, but the show looks promising quality-wise. The story seems fairly standard and so do the characters... but from what I heard they will get a lot more development down the line, so I am looking forward to that. The action seems very shonen-esque, if that makes sense. Which I am not opposed to, but I have to get used to it again since I watched shows that are a lot different in that regard in the recent past. But I absolutely loved FMA:B, so I think I should be able to enjoy this, too. |

| I am rewatching it right now, as it just started airing with a German dub for the first time. And it's great! I almost teared up upon seeing the beginning again, and having the chance to see it pretty much with new eyes again thansk to the dub. The German dub is far from great, but so far it's not bad either. Kurapika sounds a lot more girlish and Leorio doesn't sound nearly as awesome and funny, but Gon sounds okay and the overall quality is pretty decent. I just hope they won't fuck up certain characters voices in the future... I think I can live with the ones I've heard so far though. |

| I honestly hate myself for waiting so long to watch this amazing series! It only took me about a week and a half to watch it all and within that time, it easily made it to my top three. This first episode was fun! Gon is really easy to like and seems to carry so much innocence and kindness. I wasn’t as crazy about Leorio at the time but he really grew on me ofc. And Kurapika’s pretty cool too. It was nice to see how quickly they all became friends and how well they worked together. Other than that, not much else went down, but it was a great start to a wonderful journey❤️ Also, the op and ed are AMAZING |
| Gon's a prodigy just like his father and he passed the first part of the Hunter Exam preliminaries right at the first episode. He even helped Kurapika and Leorio get on the Captain's good side by jumping ship! It's a pretty good first episode but I'm expecting even greater later on! The opening's actually really catchy and Fear and Loathing with the ED was surprising~ |

| Pretty childish cringe-tier start, it's kinda feels like Sonic the Hedgehog. I bet that all this inadequate hype was based on females and moe-fetishists. Never watched any trash like Naruto or Bleach but I guess both of them are in the same shit category. |
| Took me a LONG time to come around to this series. I had heard of it being a fan of Togashi's other work, Yu Yu Hakusho. When I first saw the character designs I kind of avoided it because I thought he was doing some work for a younger audience. After hearing more and more about it though I finally decided to give it a shot. So far I really like the animation and the protagonist seems pretty likeable, I'm content to see where this goes :) |
| Rewatching this after 3 years - had the original score for this show at a 6 (remember the story but don't remember too much aspects about the pacing prior) . First episode was not a good start. I've seen people say Tower of God has a jarring first episode and whilst I love the show and enjoyed the episode, it was fast. But here, in 8 minutes, they went from Gon fishing for some giant ass Lord, to just saying he wants to be a Hunter and being on the boat for the exam. I get they introduced what Hunters were after the opening, but this really felt jarring to me in a really turn off manner. The original 99 anime did a much better job in not only pacing the introduction, but adapting it too by keeping the Kite part. It really needed to be in the intro as that only made me invested to see the Hunter exams and why I should care about Gon and his journey. This version failed to deliver it from the start. Still, there's SO MUCH content to go. And the pacing is going to improve so should be alright by the end. But for a start for one of the most raved anime of all time, underwhelmed. |
| Well, finally watching this anime. I'm going in completely blind. I have 0 clue on what to expect. Only 147 episodes left to go. Feels a bit sad watching this knowing that the voice actor of Leorio has passed away. RIP <3 It honesty feels a bit too childish and im not that keen on the artstyle. Also the pacing is a bit too fast for my taste. I hope it gets better soon. I like the OST though, it for sure stood out to me. |

| Really interesting first episode, the Hunter exam seems to be the main thing in this anime I can't wait to see how it is, and the characters are good so far, I didn't expect Kurapika to be that "dark" though haha |

| I'm actually gonna start on this first before the old one(Don't judge me) I'm not really a fan of shounen anime cuz it's very long so I'm gonna start watching this shounen anime with 140+episodes let see what this series is made of. |

| Been a while since i watched the 1999 version, took a long break on purpose so I can enjoy this show without knowing all about the plot already. Feels a lot like FMA:B to FMA, better pacing in the beginning and better art/animation. |

| Hmm a 3/5 for me... I've never watched or read any of the old Hunter x Hunter but I've been wanting to start this for a while and the episode was ok, felt like it was rushed but I will continue to watch it and see how it lives up to the reviews/hype this anime has. |
