I've had a love of anime and manga since late middle school, and being in early thirties now, don't see myself losing that love anytime soon. I don't find I gravitate to any one particular kind of genre(having burned out of my yaoi phase years ago), but I am generally attracted to the whimsy of things like Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's films, as well as fantasy and period anime. Having shed my fan girl days I'm more open to suggestion and civil discussion as well. I do still have some of my die-hard fandoms though, particularly almost anything in the Fullmetal Alchemist universe(manga, and both anime), that's traveled with me almost nine years and I'm going to keep on loving the hell out of it. :)
Throw anything at me, I love being open to new things now, and I definitely love engaging with my fellow fans in any kind of open minded discussion.
***Almost none of the anime and manga on my lists have actually been put in there as I've watched it/completed it. I came onto this site having already watched a fair amount and I'm making up for "lost time" as it were to catch up on my list. It can be assured that while I'm still a fan, I'm not otaku enough to binge watch like that. ***
