Certain people that are drawn in by "mainstream" anime feel that all forms of art should conform to their sensibilities. | I've read Dengeki Daisy recently, and I've thought that if it was adapted nowadays, it would probably get some backlash considering the age gap between the main couple. Sure, it's not even that big, but I've seen plenty of people saying that you shouldn't ship 15-year-old with a 17-year-old, or that sexualising 17-year-old anime character makes you a pedo, so I wouldn't be surprised if they would go after Dengeki Daisy. |
