Yeah well I'm sorry I hurt you by saying that pedophilia is not okay even if it's fiction. But I'm sure majority agrees with me. Even some guy just messaged me and told me there's not point arguing about it. So I'll just leave it at this.

People like to connect fiction to reality. It's the same as when the first episode of Goblin Slayer aired, people were complaining about the rape scene but why are they? It's fiction so they can enjoy it? They can't, it's disturbing to them and that's why they are complaining about it. If someone goes out there and says he enjoys boku no pico, of course he would have thousands raging over him for enjoying this fictional thing. It's the same with me. I find even fictional pedophilia disgusting and I can't just ignore it. But after arguing with you, I guess I should keep quite about my opinion cause it seems impossible to explain it without getting shit thrown at me that I am a pedophile myself for having a character younger than me on my favorite lists. You can enjoy your ZackRay fanfictions, idc. I hope you understood what I said because my english is so bad.

I recently finished reading a Manga called "Asterisk."

I think you'd really enjoy it, especially considering how much you enjoyed "Yami no Matsuei."

What do you think of the guy in my current profile picture?
Seiya May 4, 6:39 PM
Actually, the answer I was looking for was "Lingering bitterness." :P

It was something I heard on some TV show I saw back around 1994 that only aired in Canada.

If Janie has 5 apples, and Rupert takes 2 of those apples, what would Janie be left with?

Sounds nice, I wish I could go and watch anime movies here. But we pretty much only get Ghibli stuff aired in theaters.
But yeah, I definitely agree he succeeded :>

Yeah I'm a huge fantasy fan, but most of it just uses established tropes and races like elves, demons, dwarves etc... Which is fine and can be great as well (for example Terry Pratchett is fantastic at kinda making old concepts like witches, vampires or dwarves his own and making them feel truly original still), but the most interesting fantasy just creates a world from scratch, with everything in it being a unique product of the authors imagination. That's what makes Made in Abyss stand out, especially since it was pulled off so well with the artwork and the music as well.

A bunch of my favorite authors kinda fall into that category. Walter Moers is my absolute favorite in that regard, but it's also a big part of why I love Lovecraft and Stanislaw Lem, although the latter is sci-fi instead of fantasy (with Lovecraft being both). I just love it when it feels like you're reading or watching a window directly into the imagination of the author, instead of just having a window into all the concepts and ideas that have influenced him.

Oh yeah that show blew my mind on so many levels when it came out, purely in terms of feeling original and unique it's definitely the show from recent years I hold in the highest regard. It just perfectly caters to one of my most beloved aspects in stories which is adventures and exploring the unknown, plus it's top-tier in terms of background art, music, atmosphere, emotional intensity, truly original worldbuilding and overall designs. If you're me it's really hard to top that in regards to hype. So yeah, can't wait for the continuation.

No, not at all. I just thought you misunderstood my point being more about 'if you HAVE to you can look at simultaneously released manga' and mainly just being in favor of leaving these demographic tags out of the equation for everything original or adapted from source materials with less binary demographic tags than manga. Whether you praise something or not, if you refer to it as being aimed at little girls or just kids in general, a lot of people will not even consider it even tho they'd probably enjoy it. Basically it will be seen as something negative even if you don't mean it like that.
Seiya Mar 21, 8:34 PM
Yeah, and it appears to have two sequels as well.
Seiya Mar 21, 8:03 PM
I've never heard of it, but I just tried searching for it:

Is this it? I'll give it a shot sometime.
Seiya Mar 19, 9:22 AM
Yeah, there's a lot of unrealistic stuff out there, but if you dig deep enough, you can find the gems.
Seiya Mar 18, 8:04 PM
I just noticed something. You don't read BL, do you?
Seiya Mar 18, 5:45 PM
Oh, okay then. Thanks for letting me know.
