It can also just be the database such as caching in Redis or migrating to a more powerful MySQL instance or whatever database MAL uses. Not sure what MAL is hosted on but I suspect it might be AWS since they're using Route 53 for DNS. Could also be vertical scaling of the EC2 instances although I don't think that should take more than a few minutes to do. |
