Heh, I was not expecting an okonomiyaki style party as an idea in the show.

But on a serious note, I guess the show is also trying to make 22/7 stand out more as a collective group. Also got to see a bit more of Kouno Miyako's background and family.

Decent episode, though I liked the last one way more.

So we have a Miyako focused episode.

Good to see that the group has bonded with their little party.

Another great episode, Miyako's family time was really nice to see. Miu still best girl for me, but Miyako is a close second. I hate how much people are sleeping on this show(idol fans), I think the first episode was a bit confusing and probably lost a few people because of it, but it's certainly been better than LoveLive! first season. Love the writing, tension and direction.

I'm a little disappointed with the quality of voice acting for Nicole this episode, after it seemed that Kawase was improving. At least the group's veterans are doing well. I hope for her to do better by Nicole's episode though.

Also, Sakura's "yummy tummy delicious" ahaha .

ehhhhhhh so that mysterious guy was just her dad? well that's a buzzkill. Then again, idk why I'd even expect any sort of romantic subplot from an idol group show in the first place

and holy fuck that stage bit was awkward as hell at least we know Reika has a dad complex

Miyako still best girl

The girls of 22/7 are YET called to another event again, and it's a rushed job: participating in the IT (or Idol Tpkyo Festival) and getting ready for it with less time to spare. And to strengthen their relations, bonding together over a little party of okonomiyaki.

So this episode, the focus lies on Miyako and her diverse family background. Even though she has to live with her half-siblings with their now-divorced mom, her missing father has been on her mom's mind, and Miyako's made a point to search for him. Even though her mum has made it a point to invest in her being an idol, here she is now, imitating family values and carrying the group forward.

Here's hoping that she's find her dad soon.

Quite an enjoyable episode, amidst the backdrop that everyone else still has a story to tell, and why they're chosen as 22/7.

Miyako legit best girl episode was just what we needed i felt it was odd how seemly close they were when they really aren't show cased by the event so them bonding was nice

hopefully everyone else gets enough time and spot light as the story goes on ,because what the hell is going on with the wall?! with that ending

somehow, I liked this episode more than the Sally drama on episode 4. Miyako family situation does not feel forced.. or maybe I just favor characters who are poor and trying to survive. ><

Glad Miyako's mom gave some financial support. :)

Did the animation style change or am I tripping? It looks less sharp and more cartoonish compared to previous eps. Did something happen?

I like this episode better than all the previous one, probably because of Miyako magnetic personality, and the overall theme of the series of 'ordinary' girls turned into idols. This series is really a bag of mix of relateable portrayal of struggling family like those we often found in j-drama and those you've seen as trope in anime.

It certainly wasn't what I was expecting in terms of love interest but was still a pleasure to know more about Miyako. If anything I'm still having some hope for the other girls lol

This time is about Miyako's background story.
So, both Miyako and Miu accept GIP invitation just for money. What a realistic motivation.
Such a lovely family even her mother divorced 4 times.

Sweet episode and Miyako was really sweet. More bonding time between the girls, it's good to see them getting along. Also wow mutiple orders at same time, I wonder what orders those new tablets have.

I didn't mind it, but I see what you mean. There were a few instances where Miyako and her mom looked straight out of K-On! which I, personally, love.

I knew Miyako was a gem! And I definitely do not dislike the concept of spending a few more episodes focussing on each character, the series really needs to give the girls more development. That being said, I'm worried that since we have at least 5 more girls and 6 more episodes, there won't be enough time to really delve into each character.

Each of the idols transmits a good message that can make you identify, I am not a fan of this genre but these idols give more drama to the matter and that not everything is rainbow.

This is my fav episode because it features my favorite girl from the group,Miyako!

I love it when the values she got from taking care her little sisters/brothers she applied it to her group members, shes really good at keeping the group intact she kinda remind of Honoka from Love! Live!

Even if her mother was "carefree" and got a lot of siblings from different father, she still loved and helped her mother take care of them.

I guess more reasons to love Miyako!
she really have great and inspirational backstory.

Lmao to Reika
and that Miu booping herself was cute af

Miyako best girl! Go find your papa, girl. I feel like it won't be that easy though, both finding and getting him back to the family. Really adorable family though and I love their dialect.

Okonimyaki sure looks delicious! Cheap and beautiful, the winning formula xD.

such a great personality from a cute family. Miyako's motherly nature comes thru those fun proverbs
Okonomiyaki theme & analogy was great at pulling the group together.

An episode that I really like. Miyako's background and her way of solving things are just warm and sweet. Last episode was kinda boring, though.

Miyako childhood is really warmful. She is the older need to take care of 7 childs. She is only have a basic style of Okonomiyaki but it's useful for the future. Her quote also powerful. She'd able to change the atmosphere of the group.

I think i like Miyako now. I didn't care much about her before. If anything i thought she is just annoying. But now i kinda understand her.
Don't get me wrong, she is still a cliche. We saw almost exactly same character in Idolmaster.

I think I get it. The wall is supposed to be the unreasonable president of the production company. That aside, I still don't get the reason for keeping the idols in what is essentially an underground dungeon. Maybe it's a big joke of them being literal underground idols?

Miyako's situation is actually kind of interesting, where she wants to become famous so she'd hopefully come into contact with her father. It's even more interesting that her family's pretty warm and close, so she'd want to do the best for them. In the meanwhile, she's doing her best to turn 22/7 into a family as well. Still, that okonomiyaki scene highlights just how little time 22/7 spent getting to know each other. They've already debuted, but they haven't really done much together yet.

not gonna lie, i took some time years ago in discovering the name pun of this amazing girl. Poor her obviously, with a 4 times divorced mother, 6 other stepsiblings, and still holding on trying her best. And talking about okonomiyaki and the origin of all its ingredients as a framing device to make all the girls bond was great to go through once again... including watching them calling those one by one even with different levels of enthusiasm. Cool ED too, visuals were fitting for Miyako and it was somehow Ranma 1/2-ish.

(Watching the ITF made me daydream hard of crossovers with other idol anime series)
(save your time and don't try to comfort when i rant on casual discussion or forum games, feel free to ignore me, i won't take it personally)
