Welcome back Yami Shibai.

Pretty okay start, not the worst but it really failed to set up a creepier atmosphere for me. Kinda lame tbh

I think thts the problem with 80% of Yamishiba, they are great stories, with great story moments, but ruined so often with bad timing and such, or going too long on a visual.

wow, such a good start, better than season 3 and 4 at least.

Pretty meh episode, but still happy to see more Yami Shibai.

I bet that delivery guy killed his friend! Maybe him and his friend did something to him sometime ago, and now he came for vengeance.

Like a " I know what you did last summer" kind of thing.

I did not know the anime but watched this episode and found it very good, I can not wait to see the next

well, I think it's a good start for this season. Though the art still can't give the same scary vibes as the first two seasons, the story kinda goes back to the track of season 1 & 2.

I hope this season will nail of viewer's expectations

Yami Shibai is really a guilty pleasure for me. I generally love it even if some of the episodes are more silly than creepy. I loved this episode. Creepy delivery guy delivering creepy packages. :D

I'm glad it's back! This wasn't as creepy buuut it wasn't terrible like some of the past episodes either so not a terrible start . . . hope to see something like zanbai again though

A, summer nostalgia is back.
Pretty ok start. I didn't expect something better.

Considering what I've come to expect from this show, this episode was pretty good. An actually creepy story, even if the delivery still kind of falls short.

I had low expectations since last season was boring, but this was a good start.

The problem of the episode was the lack of a thrilling soundtrack, an actually scary image and the fact that the loght was too bright for a horror anime. My opinion.

we all know this will eventually get more seasons than Teekyuu

well, that was creepy but it's not that scary because I didn't get quite get the story of it

No new episode this week apparently.

I thought this was fine! It could have been done a little better, but there's something about it that kinda does make you kinda shiver. Rest in Pieces, Hasegawa.

What I really liked was the way Storyteller did the intro. I usually don't watch Yami Shibai with my good headphones, but I did today, and his near whispering voice slipping into my ears kinda gave me a chill!

I enjoyed the first episode. Like every season before it had a slow start. I'm really looking forward for the up comming episodes and what they might bring.
I rather don't want to house sit for a buddy like he had xD

I thought it was a good start. The atmosphere, along with the music, sfx and the way they build up the tension to the final moment never fails to keep me glued to the screen. High hopes for the rest of it.

So where is episode 2?

Not airing this week. We're getting 2 episodes in a few more days though.

Very, very, very predictable.

Why am I here again? It must be them short episodes. My attention span is a sucker for these short episodes.

Good stuff as usual.

I started with this season because i stumbled upon this series and i understood the stories in this season and the first season but i am not able to understand jack shit of any of the rest of the seasons

I'm assuming from the scary red door thing they added to the opening, that rather than continuing with season's 6 decision to mix in different types of ghost stories, this season is determined to go back and double down on the horror. That's disappointing, since that variety is a large part of why last season was my favourite but if the execution is good that's all that matters.

And how is the execution? Well, if the first episode is any indicator, it'll be solid this time around. This was a solid premise delivered competently, pun intended. I think what I like the most about this, is that it doesn't leave you with a jump scare, it left it to our imaginations. It built up the scenario then left us to imagine, what could happen, which is a lot more effective than a jump scare I feel. I hope Yami Shibai 7 continues writing stories in this vein. Not to credit this as a fantastic episode, but it certainly wasn't bad imo.

The narrator at the start has such a cool voice.

I'm scared for this season. They chose a unique premise, but it fell flat and felt ultimately forgettable to me. I think I prefer the typical ghost/monster stories because even though they can be repetitive, they end up scarier.

Well that's one way of getting back home...

Pretty vague tbh. not a great start for season 7.
