do you think it’s possible for me to watch the whole gintama series in a week?

If I want to watch all 367 episodes from all 8 seasons, it’d take me around 9100 minutes of my life, which is approximatively 150 hours = 6 days, minus the specials and the movies. I heard some guy saying someone in their family watched the whole naruto series in 3 weeks so I thought maybe I could try that too but with gintama 🤔🤔
What do you guys think?

If you have adequate levels of insomnia, I'd say it's "decently possible" xD

I suppose you've never seen news about people dying due to heart attack after spending a few days in row in front of pc with no any breaks.

I dont think this would be possible for the average human just saying lmao. Give it a try if you want to though. its likely you will get bored from burnout long before you get finished

Try it if you want, but I dont think that you will make it, unless you don't need sleep. I am also currently watching Gintama, but I wouldnt try to rush the series. Gintama is great journey, so just relax and enjoy it.

Why do you need this short limit of time?
I'd recommend not to do this. Otherwise you'll soon become extremely bored.
More than a half of series are random and episodic. And jokes are kinda repetitive.
Don't corrupt your experience. Gintama is a good thing but it is much better when watched slowly.

Not if you want to actually enjoy it. And if you don't care and just want to add it to your list, just add it without watching nobody will be able to prove it. Either way this seems a pointless exercise.

I probably regret this post by now.

No, don't do that. It's not only unhealthy; it's absolutely terrible for your immersion on the series. Plus Gintama is a show with a lot of self-contained episodes and arcs, it's not the kind of series that works through cliffhangers leaving you wanting for more all the time. It's actually perfect for pacing yourself.

Technically, you can watch 72 episodes of 20 minutes a day.

So let's make the accounts. 72 x 7 = 504 Episodes in 7 days/week

You can do it, unless you go to bathroom, eat, sleep or doing other stuff on your life. You decide!

My answer is No. You won't enjoy it at the fullest if you do at this way. If you have time, watch anime with less episodes, 12/24 at max and leave Gintama for later, if you ask me. Leave long-Ruining-Series for way later. Watch shorter anime first.

Beyond all the other comments about "why would you want to", let's talk about the Naruto comparison. If you watched all of Naruto, according to the episode count (720) and the fact that according to MAL it's 23 minutes (1 minute shorter than Gintama, this will add up), it takes approximately 11.5 days to watch Naruto all the way through. Which over the course of 21 days, is at least more reasonable to do than watching a show that is 6.1 days over 7 days. So while I believe watching all of Naruto in 3 weeks to be possible without really mentally injuring yourself, Gintama is a magnitude more intense, and at the very least would be significantly less healthy.

If you skip the annoying and cringe scenes,
then you can finish it after a few days.

Watch more than 3 episodes of Gintama in a row isn't even human possible, to tell you the truth, but if you really wanna do that, at least set some sleep hours, otherwise you're probably gonna drop dead after the 4 or 5 day.

Sleeping 6 hours/day you can still watch this in less than 8 and a half days.
Sleeping 8 hours/day you can do this in 10 days (time for eating and showering included.)

But really, being practical here, I needed 3 months to watch this whole shit. Gintama IS very good, but wasn't created to be rushed.

I'll just say watch it non stop, binge it, but over a few more weeks. You should plan sleep breaks and go to the bathroom during OP/ED lol but non stop over 1 week is a little ridiculous when you don't have to.

Possible? Maybe

Good idea? Definite no

Besides it not being healthy, you will surely feel some kind of burnout. Take it slow and enjoy rather than think about the numbers of episodes. It should be entertainment, not work.

You might as well try it, that’s 50+ episodes every day for a week lmao. I would consider that an achievement

the most I’ve ever done in one day is around 20-25

ive tried to binge watch it during my freshman summer break but failed to do so
it's hella long and even if you skip the fillers you probably would not be able to complete all of them
idk, gotta ask the expert here @Xavian-

This approach might work for Naruto or One Piece, but not for Gintama.

Watch it, but try to enjoy.

Believe me, it's bad for your health to watch non-stop. You'll probably out burn yourself in the processs. I suggest you take it slow and find your pace that works for your schedule. There's no need to play catch up. You wont get to enjoy the whole series and it may come off as chor in the end.

I wouldn't recommend that op. Trust me, it's very bad for your health. Even as a huge Gintama fan myself, it took me about a year and a half to catch up with all the seasons. Just take your time, you don't have to rush through. Instead of wasting 9100 minutes of your life in a week, how about you do something productive for the world, eh?

Oh you don't really want to do that, I suggest you to watch at least some small amount of episodes per day.
You'll feel forced to watch more and you'll get sick of it, there's a high probability that you'll end up hating the anime. Plus you're going to ruin your health.

I watched the original Dragon Ball 10 episodes per day non-stop and it ruined me, what you want to try is way worse so if you want to die then go ahead dude, no one will stop you.

Sure if you use all 24 hours just to watch it

Means no food or drink or toilet

Seriously for a good show like gintama (even tho I'm not watching it) isn't it more fun to watch it just for the entertainment and not for the achievement ?

i watched all of Naruto myself in 3 weeks...thats because half of it is filler/recaps, It took a couple of months to watch all of Gintama. Gintama...is a very like ...sit down and watch one or two episodes kind of show. anyways it better as a show you can absorb over time it's not meant to be rushed
