Oh boy, this episode is definitely hyping/building up for the finale. The inevitable war between humans and those monsters is coming.

At this pacing, it makes sense with the events coming together. I really hope Yuuta knows what he's doing and setting up for. He's barely recovered after all that and seemingly going to be part of a war that determines their future.

Gridnight... cool.

Yuuta development is showing in this episode with his connection to Gridman. Utsumi showing some personality this episode as well.

Pretty exciting events have happened in this episode with Akane, I want to see what will happen with her self turning into a Kaijuu. Really excited with the last episode, I have no idea what will happen so I hope it will surprise me.

Still overwhelmed by the amazing direction and layouts in this show, I can stare at some shots for days and just adore them.

I KNEW IT.The ED has some kind of meaning, it's the relationship between rikka and akane.
And lol so basically Yuuta was Gridman from starting and Gridman took over body of Yuuta with amnesia,Things make sense now. Let's hope real character of Yuuta will be good too

Really good episode! This show never disappoints.
So, does that mean we never saw Yuuta's true personnality?
Akane used like a mere tool for Alexis Kerib's goals.
Hard to think that Rikka sincerely appreciates Akane and not because she was set up this way

ooh, I wonder what Akane's kaiju looks like. Setting up to be a big finale.

I was surprised by Rika's aloofness when she announced she was going to school after our boy got stabbed.

Although I'm well aware about the weird priorities and worldview of MAL'ers, it still surprises me that a show like this can rank almost a point and a half lower than a stock middle of the range isekai like Slime. Shouldn't they be around the same? Just saying.

Well, first of all it's MAL, so the majority is following whatever got more attention. And second Pimp My Ditto was a bit more diverse in it's genre, while this is still a Thicc Mecha show, and the last one by Trigger left a bitter taste, so maybe that scared people of.
And to be honest from what I heard and saw so far, this show is one of those again. One of those with psychotic characters that are acting bad, probably got some issues and art toyed/misleaded by evil, while the hero has no idea what or why and however is the hero in the end. Not to mention that they are also kids and not some "grown"-ups at some time and I wonder why noone called Yuuta Shinji now? He is even surrounded by bussoms all the time...

Well, some animes will always get more views because of the genre or the first impression. I don't expect MAL' scores to be legit anyway, especially when I see flop animes like Irozuku getting almost the same score as Kekkai Sensen S1 or higher than prejudiced anime like Hakatsu Tonkotsu Ramens.
A shame that most of people overlook hidden gems because they prefer to follow the flow

This was so good, and intense that I can't even; that's certainly a way to start the penultimate episode. Akane neutralized Yuuta and Gridman by stabbing him, and breaking Junk. The city wasn't resetting anymore either, and I just love the apocalyptic feeling it had.

Anti stepped up to the fight too, and though I feel kind of bad for Utsumi, I found funny how he was the only one out of the loop. Well, to be fair Rikka was partially out of it too. But Anti was there to repay his debt to Rikka and Calibur, but also because he is a good boy with feelings no doubt.

That's why Utsumi saying that nothing can change the fact that he is a Kaiju as if he were nothing more than it, or directing his frustration to him felt petty. It must suck to feel useless in a time like this though, and he also felt guilty for enjoying the battles up to now, so I do feel kind of bad for him (2). Calibur's laugh was precious though, I agree with Rikka's mother, and god I wish that were me, the one being carried like a princess by Calibur I mean. lol

And to be honest I didn't see it coming, Yuuta not being Yuuta, but only Gridman borrowing his body. And I knew that even if Akane tried to regret her actions, or something like it, that Alexis would be there to ruin it all. I didn't expect him to turn her into a Kaiju though, but it is fitting and it must be the only one that is going to be more terrifying than the one which was her heart. The last episode has everything it needs to be crazy cool, I can't wait!

Woooh boy...now we're talking about the final stretch!

Last episode's stabbing was brutal, but done for a reason. And seriously, Akane is at the point where she already lost her sense of humanity (not like she had any to begin wirth) and now...she's a kaiju being manipulated for the longest time.

The connection between Yuta and Gridman was subconscious though, after all this while that they both fought together, and now have become one...so Gridman borrowing Yuta's body? Just speculation...but only after that reveal where Yuta had no memories to begin with is where everything makes sense.

The largely irrelevant (IMO) Utsumi finally got his character development breakthrough, and it's nice to see him standing up for Yuta.

So Yuta X Gridman + Anti (Gridknight) vs. Alexis & Akane the Kaiju, definitely pumped for the final battle.

Heck of a setup for the finale, don't know how they will wrap this all up in one episode although Amemiya, the staff and even the singer of the opening have hyped it as the best one and in terms of direction and sakuga I expect it to be maybe on par with episode 9. The staff for it is awesome, BahiJD (who did the opening of Atom The Beginning), Ikarashi the storyboarder of episode 9, Yoshinari, Sushio, Janda, Mutaguchi and Hiroki, strong young talents and veterans. In short they have their best guys on it, can't wait.

Great episode, it was brilliant directing to keep up the suspense throughout the episode and there were some amazing soundtracks during the intense moments! Really enjoyed this episode!

Last episode’s assault on Yuta by Akane neutralised Gridman and the whole general mysterious atmosphere it created was exceptional! Looks like the town is not resetting either because of those giant kaijus that have been taken down already, things are really heading for a gripping finale! And with that cliffhanger, I’m hyped to see what’s next!

Lots of heartwarming and tense moment throughout the episode though. Alexis is continuing his relentless attack, while Anti, or GridKnight, is trying to repel all his attacks. A lot of storytelling from Gridman too, although I’m not sure exactly what they all meant, but it was nice to see the duo working together to fight back against Alexis army. Final battle is soon to come with Alexis and Akane vs Gridman and GridKnight and I’m sure it’ll be just as amazing as all the buildup! Some of the scenes featuring Rikka’s mother, in particular, were hilarious, especially the moment when Gridman transformed and the awkward silence that took place right after xD. I just love these subtle hilarious moments of this show, the animation slowing down then just makes it all the more hilarious for some odd reason. Rikka and Akane scene at the end there was nice to watch too, it looks like Akane really is struggling here.

All in all, a phenomenal set up to set the climax of the show!

So, does this mean that every since Episode 1, this was just Gridman dwelling inside Yuta, thinking he was Yuta, and also talking to himself on the computer, and somehow thinking that he isn't Gridman? How? I don't quite get it.

If that's the case, then why didn't Gridman realize it was him when he saw himself on the computer on Episode 1? Shouldn't he have known that was him if he was Gridman inside Yuta?

I don't remember who exactly but one of the members of the Neon Genesis squad mentions that them and Gridman were probably once a single being. Also in the first episode we see a single shooting star get split into 6 pieces, which we find out in episode 5 is Alexis splitting apart Gridman.

So presumably the Yuta we know is a part of Gridman that has been broken off from the whole.

Finally, things come to an end. First gridman revelation has sense and explain a few things, then the Akane transformation give me a big hype, and as someone said before the humanity of Akane after episode 10 was lost and the kaiju moment has sense, but I have the feeling that with some kind of friendship power or something like that she will not die, and is this point the thing that is bothering me because I have the feeling that they are trying to justify Akane actions.

First Gridman saying that she has only one option when she stabbed Yuta, REALLY!? that was pretty vague, I mean she has lost her mind, the world she has created is not what she wants so we should understand what she did, no men, nothing like that childish behaviour justify stabbing someone.

And Rikka, first saying that is unforgettable what she did, and at the end we are friends, yes someone could say is because Akane made Rikka that way but the words of Rikka doesn't imply that for me; and starting at this point even with all the development of their relationship is not understandable that somebody can forgive all the deaths, the sociopathic behaviour, the pain and the actions against your friends (Yuta included who she has been managing to kill since episode 6 or 7 I can't remember exactly). If the words of Rikka are appealing to Akane feelings, like I am this way because you made me but what are your true feelings to me, then I can understand the final speech, but if the words of Rikka implies friendship power beyond god power then like i have said i can't understand either accept that point.

Is pretty annoying that behaviour of Rikka and the vague justification given by Gridman. I really hope being wrong at the end of the next episode and all that friendship power doesn't triumph because it will be a very simple final for a great anime and a very poor resolution for a great but clearly sociopathic character like Akane.

SSSS gridman was my most anticipated weekly anime, and this episode makes me consider dropping it before the final episode. Pretty much every character got destroyed. annoying drama, cheesy dialogue. the show was an interesting watch but it fails at raising stakes since I can't feel anything for these characters that are presumably not real humans.
