| i dont think there is any 1 that fits all. and thats lovely i especially dont want people who dont like a specific genre to just watch it and then give it bad reviews. For example people who hate a slice of life anime for being a slice of life anime with no action or drama. if you want action look for action so theres not any one that i think everybody should watch however there are some in each genre that i think all those who enjoy a particular genre should watch |

| If you call yourself an anime fan, then the answer is clear. Shirobako provides information about the process of making anime and the staff's responsibility in their respective department to complete on what they consider a "quality" product. It's fine not to like the show though. |

I picked Spirited Away because that was about the least niche kind of anime I could come up with, but there's still plenty of Miyazaki haters out there who relgiously follow memes so even that is far from a perfect universal rec.
