| Wasn't really good or scary to be honest. The new art style is odd and not fitting. It's just too bright and colorful unlike the old, rusty and eerie one. Also story wise it wasn't that good and the use of the real life footage was boring. I imagined a real woman all bloodied up running outside of the car window or something with a distorted face. What i got was .. not scary and not even funny either. It's a shame how this show let itself go, I really want to like it because the first season is one of the best änderst memorable I got to see from anime since I legitimately got a good scare. |
| I'm sorry but the Storyteller really needs to have more faith in his animations and voice acting. A narrator telling me how every character feels and when tension is happening really ruins the immersion. That being said, this episode wasn't too bad; better than the others at least. The live actions bits are really silly though. I guess the budget was halved for this season (even the animation is lacking more than usual) |

| It's like I'm watching a different anime this season. I don't see the art being worse - the live-action parts are refreshing and they still fit the style. The story, though... interesting, but scary? Nah. I was never really scared of the anime (honestly, horror and animation don't fit together), but it's more like they're not even trying to scare the viewer in this season. Just trying to tell a spooky story. |
| I just love how this show is steadily declining since the first season. First season was great, second season was really good, third season was meh (but the ending was fairly good) and the fourth season is just plain terrible. Sad to see one of my favorite shorts go down like this, so I'm dropping it before they start recording episodes on Paint with Bandcam. |
| the buildup was right on the spot until the "He realized he wasn't holding a red heel". Such a poor execution for a promising epsode. As many stated in this thread, the live action scenes and the narrator are mood killers for this short. So far only episode 3 could be called decent. 1/5 |

| That "jump scare" at the end didn't make a whole lot of sense and just felt like a lazy attempt to tact on some scares on this episode. The other problems from the previous episode continue on through this on, as they will for the rest of the season (Yami Shibai seasons are defined by stylistic choices and themes, this season is live action & narration). |

| Oh. Was that supposed to be a jumpscare? So you heard it from Yami Shibai folks: don't work overtime. Anyway, I didn't mind this episode. I mean, in all honesty it's not like anything bad actually HAPPENS to the salaryman, just something spooky. So... I dunno, in season one and some episodes of season two, it'd creep me out a little just not knowing what happened to Minako or whoever the heck. Sometimes you wouldn't know but you could only assume whatever happened wasn't good-- kinda like the episode before this. I actually don't mind the "live" parts, but I do feel like there's something missing. Like, I'm not shook by this episode at all. Last episode, while I liked it, didn't shake me too much either. I don't think it's the narration that takes me out of it-- heck, I grew up with creepy narrations like with Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, narrated by some teenagers who worked at the after school program I was in and by George S. Irving through the audiobooks and they still have me shook. That was, of course, in my language and we only had one image to look at instead of a whole picturebook-esque anime, but still, I don't think it's the narration, I think it's just the execution of it.;; For me at least. |

| Did taxi driver raped the woman and murdered her and its her ghost coming out after them? Didnt like that the story didnt feel completed at all, there is so much room to grow. |
| ANIMATION? HAH! WHAT'S THAT? --- What even was this episode? Nothing makes any sense. It was freaky up until the end and then I was just confused. Did the taxi driver hit her before the business dude got in? Did the lady die in the taxi and he threw her out and she wanted vengeance? DID THE LADY DIE WITHOUT HER SHOE AND JUST WANTED IT BACK? At least give us the courtesy of context! You leave a minute left of the episode with no story and it just becomes more confusing!! Also the art and animation is bad. I know the series prides itself on it's style but this is just lazy. The running in the beginning lol. |

| I thought season 2 and 3 were bad but this is terrible. I loved season 1 and will continue watching in the hopes it redeems itself eventually but at this rate it's just dampening my feelings for the original season :( |
| I actually thought this episode was probably the clearest in all of Season 4 as far as what happened. The taxi driver obviously recently killed the woman in the car (hence her shoe is below the back seat full of blood), dumped her body somewhere but didn't notice the shoe somehow, and now her ghost is coming back for revenge. this was also one of the better episodes this season, although that really isn't saying much... |
| i agree this and episode 5 are my favs too :D i don't get why ppl keep commenting bad stuff, do they vent here? they should get the stick out of their asses tbh.. nobody here played super famicom visual novels and it shows! xD |
