![]() Full Metal Panic! is a light novel series written by Shoji Gatoh and illustrated by Douji Shiki. It had 12 volumes published by Fujimi Shobo between 1998 and 2011. Previously, the series was adapted into two TV series, a side story, and two special episodes. Synopsis Jindai High School was a relatively safe place, right up until Sousuke Sagara transferred there. A total nut, he wreaks havoc on the school's student body and gets into a world of trouble with the teachers! But there's more to Sousuke than meets the eye—not just a hell-raising student, he's actually a member of an elite military unit, on an undercover mission to protect the beautiful schoolgirl Kaname Chidori from the KGB. All this years..... they said it was impossible..... *starts crying I started to just stick with the ending via translations.... illegally..... Now, after all this years.... it's here...... I WANT THE ENDING WHERE CHIDORI AND SOUSUKE..... *spoiler* each other!!!!!! GOD, I post this in Fb!!!!!! ![]() #CHEXIT |
FINALLY!!!!!!! It's a sequel right? ![]() But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion. http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30 It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist. |

The hype is real. Anything can happen now anything ![]() |
Speaking as a mecha fan as opposed to a Kyoani fan I find it an exceptionally overrated mecha anime franchise (really it's more LN than traditional mecha) but it's due for a followup outside of Super Robot Wars by now. I figure it'll probably be done by Satelight or J.C Staff now or something, but if that happens officially nobody will give a shit because IMO literally the only reason people make a big deal out of it is cause of Kyoto Animation, not the franchise itself. ![]() |
I want this and I want it now. ![]() I envy your delusion; I wish I could live in it |

To be honest I find it manages to avoid the more annoying LN tropes or at least delivered them in a less annoying way. Some spoilers about the anime below MC is in a triangle rather than having a harem and at least he has a reason to be desnse, it's actually funny, the camera work and character movement aren't LN like and the dialogue isn't terrible and it's also an international show so we get to see more than glorious nippon (actually two of the MCs aren't even japanese lmao). The way they moved between seasons was also pretty risky to me, the shift in tones were pretty alienating and I was pretty surprised how violent the TSR was. ![]() |

Just watch and enjoy it when it comes out or not I'd say. skudoops said: Kaioshin_Sama said: Speaking as a mecha fan as opposed to a Kyoani fan I find it an exceptionally overrated mecha anime franchise (really it's more LN than traditional mecha) but it's due for a followup outside of Super Robot Wars by now. Eh I don't know, I'm an avid mecha watcher and I just really never got into this one all that much. It doesn't help that the anime adaptation of it is highly stilted and largely incomplete and the franchise suffers from some pretty severe lame crazy villain syndrome when it's not mired in his and her problems type episodes. I prefer my mecha antagonists a little more nuanced coming from a mecha background as opposed to your Gauron's and Gates'. The one part I did like about the franchise is the whole Lambda Driver system and Whispered aspect, the parts I didn't like so much again are the cheesy high school romance aspects. In any case I get all that that you mentioned and more out of Gundam, but I can say that for a lot of things. Not to knock it much because it was a fine early 2000's mecha series, but that's just my reasoning for why it's a 6 or 7/10 franchise and not like some epochal mecha series. Really the funny thing is it was never all that popular in Japan or strongly remembered among the mecha fanbase, just among the Kyoani fanbase which I think will be a distinction you'll be able to see full force if/when interest in this craters if they are announced not to be handling the new season like how it went with Little Busters anime adaptation. ![]() Modified by PeacingOut, Oct 23, 2015 10:20 PM |
ios said: the rumored title is Full metal panic: Vertical shaft so any source material fan knows if its gonna be a sequel or a remake with that title? That's not a direct rip from any of the novels, I don't think.. it's been a while since I've read them though. Mandatory: OHHHHHHHHH MAHHHHHHHH GAWWWDDDDDD. This is awesome. FMP is my favorite series...the premise is great and all the characters are really likeable. If it is a continuation, I wonder how much they'll animate? The series gets pretty serious from here on out...I wonder if they'll take the time to animate some of the other silly side stories that I don't think they got to in Fumoffu. ![]() |
HOLY CRAPPPP! After nearly a decade its back!!!!! I don't care if it's a continuation or an original story I'm just estatic. I pity those who haven't seen it and I encourage you to give the franchise a try. I remember the comedy got me roflmao as a kid and not a lot of anime have done that to me. ![]() |
Sadly I hear it's not Kyoani. It's cool that's it's finally getting a new iteration but it would be very disappointing if it's not as well made as fumoffu/tsr, which were simply amazing and exponentially better compared to the decent but somewhat generic first season. Would be sad if it ends up feeling like a regression, kinda like what happened with that Haruhi spinoff that wasn't made by Kyoani ![]() |
