A lot of emotions as well..  I'm glad to see Natsu coming to cheer on her boyfriend XD Of course he needed the support. Thanks to that, Eijun makes a decent comeback. |

| That match was intense as fuck, probably the best of the series so far. That 2nd half of the episode was great. I actually clenched my fist and said "YES!" when Mauro got the match winning point. Awesome stuff. |

| BEST MATCH EVER!!! I remember when I was on the edge of my seat when reading this match in the manga. The anime definitely didn't disappoint. EPIC! Tension overload! Even Ide's cheesy-ness couldn't lessen the intensity XD "Give me ur energy I want to make everyone smile" MY EARS r Bleeding!!! lol Friggin loved Maruo's between the legs and his last Match point on the fly. So BA!! Nacchan's power of love is way stronger than any Nakama BS XD |

| I honestly couldn't stop grinning with excitement :D That was one heck of a match! The plays at the end, despite Ide going all out, Maruo coming out top was awesome. Maruo's growth, it is always nice to see. Looking forward to more amazing matches. |

| Really one of the best match and it was as great as i remember and the last minutes was much better than the manga. Congrates on winning Ei-chan but i think miss one of the spectator mentioning about Natsu being Maruo girlfriend. |
| Really nice! Best match so far, and the animation was top notch! And that last point, I really liked the way they animated it, as good as it was in the manga. Now, hoping they announce a season 3 to cover the nationals :D |
| Intense AF match! Probably the best of Baby Steps thus far. | I hate sports anime, at some point they stop being a sports anime and become a boring talk show or supernatural battles like there's a freaking Sharingan enemy in Kuroko and in Haikyuu every battle they start talking about a freaking wall everytime gee, just play volleyball. But I love Ping Pong & Baby Steps. |

| Don't you just love seeing Ide lose? I can't be the only one who wanted to punch his face every time he grinned or twirl his tongue. It makes him look smug rather than confident and I just love seeing that kind of stupidly optimistic idiot got brought down by reality. It'd be more satisfying if the crowd's stupid stunned face were shown. Feels a lot like Bethe Correia gettiing knocked out in 34 seconds after all those trash talking and the crowd booing against Ronda. It couldn't have been more fitting that the end of this match aired right after that epic rape. |

| Superb finish to a really important match in Mauro's career. However the three top seeds were watching and making notes regarding Mauro's improvement. They certainly aren't going to be taking him lightly the next time they play him. I would expect that Mauro has also attracted some new fans with a performance like that. And we need more Natsu in the episodes... |

| Damn I expected something good and got something incredible. The animation on those last 2-3 rallies was incredible, sound effects, tension, everything was great. Although I usually don't like matches that span over a few episodes this one was just wow. Loved it. |
| Fantastic end to an even more fantastic match. Baby Steps is definitely the best ongoing Sports Anime right now! That last exchange between them, it was poetry in motion lol. Definitely my favourite Baby Steps match so far. Can't wait for the next episode. |

| I knew the result from reading the manga but my heart was still pounding and I actually did a fist pump! Like 3 times. XD I loved the subtlety, and the intensity in the last few moments. The shot between the legs was unexpected and awesome! Bahh, glad to see this animated. I didn't even remember the shot between the legs. He pulled that off so smoothly. Glad they focused on good animation for those last few moments too, it really goes a long mile in enjoyment. <33 Wheewww. Now, onto the next round! |
| Probably one of the best matches so far,I'm so glad that Maruo won(even though it was obvious). That hit between the leg was incredible,I mean for a guy like Maruo to take a chance and hit a shot like that,Ide really pushed him to the limits. I actually celebrated when Maruo hit the winning point lol. |
