Phew, I can finally talk about this one...

It's so rare that we get to see a glimpse into how Alicia's mind works, so this episode was quite refreshing. What do you guys think?

Where do I find an Alicia to mother my babies. Don't know if that was the writter's intention, but that was the emotion generated.

I share your sentiments. It was also enjoyable since we never get to see Alicia and Alice interact with each other so it was interesting. Especially their banter on the bridge at the end of the episode. I lol'd hard at the Alicia statue; I never expected that.

I loved it. As always, most of my thoughts are on my site (or, as the case may be, in Shirukii's comments section). Also, a proposal: the scale of Hated it! through Loved it! should be changed to a scale of Refreshing! to Wonderful!

I like how they present Alicia in her episodes. At first glimpse she does seem like a perfectly unrealistic woman, always smiling no matter the problem. But, when the focus is on her she uses very strange ways to get her point across (like when she and Akari rolled the snowball) which shows that there is something going on in her mind. So in a sense she is alot more mysterious then is let on and this makes her a more interesting character. What I didn't like about this episode was the feeling of inconsistency it had relative to the rest of the series. Was Akari ever that clumsy? Easily distracted maybe, but I would not call her clumsy. Oh and I loved the episode.

this anime really takes you away from the hate, violence, and harshness of the real world and gives you the basic enjoyable parts of life to think about. This series just keeps getting better and better. X0

Alice was evil, trying to get Alicia angry at Akari > <

The way Alicia explained it was very interesting. Just like when she was rolling the snowball.

The episode was really good~
It was great seeing how Alicia thinks and I found it to be quite refreshing because you rarely see that kind of thought process. Moreover, the way Alicia presented her idea to Alice was incredibly unqiue as well :)

Ah, yeah. I was wondering how Alicia would scold someone myself actually. It's nice to get an answer. I like her way of answering questions, like with the snowball, it's much more interesting than a straight up answer. :D
I like her thought process a lot~ Wish my parents would think more that way :|

It's good to see another "OH SON OF A GUN WHAT A FUCKING LOVELY EPISODE.". Now I know why Alicia doesn't scold anyone, well she does but in a way that the other person wouldn't feel offended. OHH MS. PERFECT!

Few things I loved in this episode were:
1. In the beginning were Alice and Athena were taking a stroll together. Athena was damn hilarious when she was eating. After she got that pizza, her chibi sad face turned into a smiling one, lmfao.
2. Alice. Oh how I loved you in this episode. She took the detective's path and tried to solve the mystery behind Alicia's way of scolding people. She was so funny when Alicia came over to her. She thought about random stuffs like Alicia being a God and will punish her because she's been following her, lool.
3. Alicia <3. Oh no matter what people call you, you'll always be Ms. Perfect for me. No man is worthy enough to marry you, except me.

It's good to see Alicia and Alice blush at the same time. I didn't expect Alicia to feel embarrassed about what she said to Alice. <3 OH AND ALICE WAS LIKE "PLEASE SCOLD ME." IN THE END, LOOOOOL. That made my day.

i think that this is the best Aria episode of all seasons...if not,it's deffinetely the 2nd after the one where they first meet granda...

this ep was a masterpiece, and i like the lesson:you learn and become better by making mistakes, not by avoiding them

5/5

PS:aria the origination is perfect for now...6 amazing episodes

Its funn to see these two simular characters together they really looked good this ep. Alicia's a positive and bright girl, while Alice is bright and imaginitive, and there both very good with piloting the gondola. There very simular and I'm glad Alice found an interest to understand Alicia's manners.

Alicia's way of explaining things is so wonderful. It reminded me of the final episode of Natural when Alicia and Akari bade a huge snowball and kept on moving forward with people helping them on their way and leaving with smiles on their faces.

Alicia and Alice blushing at one another's comment in the end was so wonderful. :)

Alicia's special face is just awesomely hilarious when she's just like (^_^)

Her way of thinking is fascinating. The ways she sees mistakes and failures as an opportunity to learn rather than get frustrated is just incredible. I think Alicia makes a great point in humility, that we as humans have limited understandings and experience, so we shouldn't try to impose our ideas on something until we've reflected about it properly.

Alicia is so wise. I especially liked what she had to say about mistakes, and that if you constantly point them out, the person would be so afraid to make a mistake that they wouldn't even be able to move. That's true, actually. It's all about the learning experience.
On that note, Alicia would make an amazing mother.

Wonderful episode, once again.

Interesting episode. Aika's reactions on this episodes are pretty funny, and Alicia's face when she say "it's embarrassing" is priceless(not the humorous one though).

This has to be one of my personal favorite episodes of the entire Aria series. It's also the reason why Alicia is one of my fave female anime characters ever. ^_^

The message in this episode made such an impact on me. It's so simple yet one never really thinks to take the patient approach to teaching, and life itself. Encouraging someone and allowing them to learn from their mistakes is a mentality almost nonexistent nowadays. The way Alicia gets her message across is also extremely interesting coming from someone like her who you never really know what she's thinking.

For me, some of the best anime bring together characters that we rarely see interact or are so different, and that makes for amazing moments. That whole exchange on the bridge between Alice and Alicia was just too heartwarming. <3

Very rare for an episode to focus on Alicia, the only other episode I can recall giving satisfactory focus on her was the OVA. Nice to see some of the thoughts that go behind her extremely gentle outward personality.

The one and only ALICIA. The one question that was finally answered. Why Alicia doesn't scold people. Well she does but she does it in a way that it is not negative because to her she'd just be making the other person make more mistakes. I get her point. As a senior she must make sure her juniors can do things right and not worry about making mistakes. "Do it this way, do it this way"

It was odd to see Akari make such clumsy mistakes early in the episode. Spilling tea, gondola floating away due to being cut. Perhaps she was indeed being legit clumsy.

Alicia and Alice together is a first time. Refreshing episode indeed.

This is definitely one of the most profound and unforgettable episodes of Aria. I'm still awe struck by how Alicia sees things even 2+ years later. She doesn't do it to spare anyone's feelings, she simply embodies kindness, encouragement and the desire to learn. It was because of this episode that Alicia cemented herself among my favorite characters.
