Well... not that extreme, actually. It's more like the "Back then, anime was art. Now, anime is trash" kind of mindset which pretty much adapted from Miyazaki's viewpoint, therefore one of "Miyazaki Syndrome". That said, I respect the man quite a lot and what he said, despite controversial and kinda like an old man's rant than an opinion, actually have some truth in it.

Idk. Usually, like you, I always manage to find at least one seasonal series that is worth watching to my taste. Fall; shigatsu, Winter; Death Parade, Summer; Kekkai Sensen and Ore Monogatari. This spring... not so much.

I've always wanted to watch monogatari series. That said, talking about style, you might wanna check out Tatami Galaxy. And oh, I forgot to mention you that beside the three anime Aria, Mushishi, and Haibane Renmei, there is one episodic anime that has a good reputation for its atmosphere and story just like the three; Kino no Tabi. you might wanna check it out also.

Yeah, I am currently strolling around the internet to search for a good quality anime that was once in the past. Also,

I know. Indeed, the anime did a very good job. I watch the first episode as well, actually. But having read the manga, I don't find myself wanting to watch more episode ^^' Still, the way the first episode give subtle hints (cracked windows, people in the fields that not walking normally, the writings on the board) is quite a good job. Also the cross. The damn cross. Again, having read the manga, I'll let you know that the cross is a serious business. And do prepare yourself some tissues and a strong adrenaline. Gakkou Gurashi! is quite a big deal of emotion. Big. Deal. Of emotion.

You can also said that the reason I don't wanna watch gakkou gurashi is simply because I don't wanna experience the same emotion leak; and now it's animated.

They don't get me much also. Yeah they're hyped and looked strong, but tbh they're not something special. I've watched the first episodes of some anime; Gangsta is a good action show, but that's that. The pacing is somehow slow, also. Charlotte... well... It's typical Jun Maeda work, maybe I'll marathon it instead later.

Hmmm... that's the first time I heard the name Joukamichi no Dandelion. I'll try it, maybe. As for Rokka, hmmm, I don't really like a fantasy-adventure theme... but hearing you said that the character doesn't spout "nakama power" thingy makes me wanna check it out.

Well, that's that. Though my priority list is still, like I said, the "old" anime like I already mentioned. Idk, back in a couple years ago, there seems to be quite a lot of good anime... Not that I think that now we don't have good anime... But things like Aria and Mushishi came out a long time ago, and I just don't see today's anime can ever came out with at least the same quality like them.. :/ Idk, either that, or I already infected by the Miyazaki Syndrome, you know what that is?

First; it's not "an OVA", it's "three OVAs"

Second; a good commenter in ANN commented like this: More ARIA is more ARIA. I will take what we can get. I choose to agree with this comment.

Third; they may only have a normal OVA runtime per eps, ~24 minutes

This season? Really strong? Eeeehm... the only interesting thing I see is Gakkou Gurashi! and I already read the manga soooo...

Some might be strong, like gangsta, shirayuki-hime, ushio to tora, and the hyped charlotte... but Idk, I just can't feel the urge to watch them.... Maybe it's just me tho; with a new ARIA on sept, an upcoming new shinkai movie at 2016, everything that airs this season feel... stale.

I actually want to watch some past-time anime; I haven't completed Haibane Renmei, The first two season of Mushishi, and some other watch like; Ping Pong, Tatami Galaxy, Omoide no Marnie, etc. So I prefer to complete them first....

But still, do inform me if you find somethin worth watching this season :3

Eeeeeeh....

All character in Aria were somehow likeable (loveable, even). Idk, probably those that goes to Aqua were all good people, and the a**holes bad people were all left in earth? :P On a more serious note, from the undines (the single trio, the prima trio) to the man trio (Al, Woody, Akatsuki) they have this... special traits in them that is very loveable and fitting the story atmosphere. Also,

But yeah, Akira is by far my favourite prima. The most loveable. Her progress from a "no-talent" single to one of the best prima is impressive. Her classic strict-but-loving characteristic is very well-handled too.

The musics in Aria, eh?

nuff said.

It's sad to see that Aria is something which you'll never experience again.

Say that again, jack.

You have a point and I know you are correct, that it is human to make mistakes but I still am bothered when I do nothing to invoke hate yet still get trash talked. I will show you an example of it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X39tNNNacU0

Expand the comment chain on "Critical" and you can see 2 pathetic kids trash talking both Goku and I, using throwaway youtube accounts thinking we would not know who they are. It is the same 2 people that are from some guild "hP" on EU servers that were dancing in front of me with the guild "Just Bad Gameplay Not [RNG]" lol

I would not mind if you added me at all and I'll probably get around to the Aria series sometime, I just haven't been in the mood to watch a low-action slice of life lately so it's technically on hold for now but it's on my watching list just to remind myself that I should be starting it soon.

If you main an engi you should search through my friend and guildmate's channel here, as he is literally the best engi main there is imo:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP9VaQTvRQD_qW20WvjIZhw

Lupicus pisses me off, but it's just because of a few reasons. The first being that I've solod/killed him so many times that I just don't have the patience to deal with the stupid RNG garbage constantly where he does like 5 autoattacks in a row or uses a really bad attack order, spawns max swarm counts constantly and whatnot. It's not amusing to me and it's frustrating but for the wrong reasons. If they wanted to make Lupicus difficult I would rather them do it in a more meaningful way other than make him spam nonstop autoattacks, like having him keep his previous phase attacks in all phases, so he would not lose a skillset on any phase. This would make phase 3 a challenge instead of it just being a joke where nothing is threatening except his autoattack.

The second reason is that people have really high expectations for me I guess. When I first started streaming it was a lot more laidback and I was basically the only active PvE streamer, but as I started getting more popular and other people started doing the same stuff as me I get judged pretty harshly now. If I have a bad night and people get to see me die due to lagging out or just not focusing enough, I worry about getting flamed and trolled a lot. Whether or not I like it, it's the way that it is.

I see you have fully exposes yourself to a true beauty that is Aria. It's OK, it's common to be at loss of word when you're exposed to a beautiful thing like Aria. I, for one, need to re-read and re-watch Aria for a couple of times until I fully satisfied with it.

I think I'll start with a foreword while you're recovering;
Aria is a simple series of daily life, but not your ordinary daily life; a life in a wonderful world called Neo-Venezia, the water city inspired from the old earth's Venice, Italy.

The life in Neo-Venezia, which actually supposed to be set on a "futuristic" time, is actually rather old; their main transportation is boat instead of flying cars, and the way they contact each other is by hand-written letter, instead of iPhone 10. When people needs to do things, they go out and do it instead of do it in their houses using internet.

Mizunashi_Akari said:

I'm from earth, and cities everywhere is beautiful and very organized. Everything is very orderly. Unlike here, people can shop, work, and do everything from their house. It's very convenient. And yet, the way an orderly and convenient city looks gives me an unsatisfied feeling.

-Aqua, chapter 1 page 25-

Aria, not only it tells you the beauty of everyday life, it tells you that you can find beauty in the old-time ways of doing things.

Now, what can fill your inner emptiness...? I want to suggest Haibane Renmei because the atmosphere feels the same, but I only 3 eps in so I can't really tell. Though, I encourage you to try it. And its theme is different from Aria, mind you. Haibane is a more... complicated. A bit.

Tbh, I find Mushishi strangely relaxing yet interesting. It has a completely different theme from Aria, but its ability to evoke your emotion by using atmosphere, art (visual and audio), and story is almost equally the same. Since you are the type of guy who like series that can evoke emotion, you might want to try Mushishi.

Wow. Also I just checked your list and I am shocked, because you are the only person who has contacted me from my stream that rates anime on a different scale than like 7-10 and actually bother to give things proper ratings, which is nice for people that are looking for new stuff to watch. +1 to that, I like it!
PurpleMiku Jul 15, 2015 8:15 PM
Part of what motivates me besides streaming is that there is a tournament coming up that I'll participate in so I have motivation to look for the best strategies with my friends. I also am excited to try for more records again since I had a lot of fun getting the last one and I'm really happy that warrior is finally a fun class to play again and doesn't have terrible damage anymore. There were things about the last update that made me mad, but almost all of the warrior changes were fantastic and for the time being I'm able to enjoy myself

No problem! I like your new profile picture. :)

Hello!

I mainly get my images from websites that hold a collection of fanart and official art. Places such as zerochan, Yande.re (can be NSFW), and Safebooru (SFW version of Danbooru). I've hyper-linked the respective websites with Aria picture results. I hope you find some good ones. Good luck! :)

Haha, hahaha, hahahahaha (I'm laughing in tears, mind you)... yeah, it's quite a punch really...

In the anime, most of the episode consists of Akari's activity in the planet Aqua. You can say "nothing really happens", but actually each episode show just what wonder can be uncovered in daily activities, especially when you're on Aqua. If I may suggest you, watch Aria at night time, with 1-3 episodes/night. Marathoning this will not do any good. It is something that you need to take bit by bit, slowly, while you're sipping your tea.

BUT! It has it moments of feel. And when it does, it doesn't know what the word "brake" means. Most of those feely moment is in Origination, and damn, it even has feel in a happy moment ;_;
New_- Apr 2, 2015 5:59 AM
Ah, you're still alive after all! I thought you've drowned in your own tears after watching KimiUso! :P lol jk :D

Of course I made that meme on my own, haha... your secret is safe with me..... or not.

Aria, huh... You're asking my recommendation? hmmm....

If you're planning on staying on the road of drama/SoL, then Aria is the most suitable. If you're asking my opinion, even KimiUso looks like an anime made by noobs in comparison to Aria, no lie! :P

Hey, Thanks for dropping by!

lol, tbh, uploading is easy, it's the re-uploading stuff, that I hate. That's why I'm kinda lazy, when it comes to re-up requests :D But someone's gotta do it and in this one-man-show it has to be me.
New_- Mar 13, 2015 1:22 AM
I see. Allow me to sum up that experience of yours in a picture.
Here you go.

Not only chapter 43 is out. There has been an unofficial translation of chapter 44. The translation is quite messy, but readable. Go to mangahere.com or mangabird.com to see it. Read the last two chapters, and let the feels flow through you.

But gotta admit, chapter 44 feels like a simple epilogue. A good one, but the real climax is chapter 43. Reading that chapter was quite a shiver ;_;

Ah, the anime is gonna end next week, huh? I haven't watch shigatsu straight from ep 17, cos I plan to marathon it. Well, so for next week I'm gonna marathon it, and I guess...

As for review, eh, maybe yes maybe not. Writing review is not really my thing.. :/ but who knows, maybe I'll get a mood to do it later. You should try write a review though.
