| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Mm, weather seemed kinda gloomy this episode but some of the plays had energy in it. Nothing too special but the momentum of the episode was good imo. Everyone's tense while there's a little mind game with the pitcher/catcher. There were definitely a few decent hits though imo. I also kinda like how the motion of the rain combined with the music captured a strong tone of the pitches. Not too shabby Furaya. |

| A match under heavy rain is definitely a new one. This episode was a bit more on the boring side since I'm not too fond of Furuya, but I already knew that beforehand. Looking forward to the next episodes of this game though. |

| Not the greatest and exciting match out there but oh well... When Furuya was totally into it and we could see the drops of rain, it reminded me of Touhou Project lol And is it just me or is the quality of the animation a bit low in this ep? Could be I never noticed before though... |

| Enjoying the new effects on Furuya's pitching, that last pitch with the slow motion+closeup and that music (although a little overly emphasized). Miyuki's reassurance is always nice to see. Playing in unfavourable conditions with the umpire, the rain breaking momentum |

| This episode was based on Furuya/Mukai D: I think Furuya is only noticed because of his speed, although it is exceptional, his personality is boring. I can't wait for the next episode! I really want Sawamura to shine soon and not be left out! Everyone underestimates him except the coach >:I |

I was so annoyed when all he could think about was his undershirt that he wasn't even listening to Miyuki. Yeah it's annoying and super uncomfortable to be playing under the rain, but get your head in the game! During the pause, he kind of just sat there, being aloof. His mind really isn't there most of the time... Taiyou, you stop it with sticking out your tongue. I'm interested in Koushuu, though it'll take awhile before he will even get to go to Seidou since it's only the start of the fall tournament. Wonder who he will want to catch for, and how good is he as a catcher. |

| Hmmm personal favorite moment was when Eijun was calling out on harucchi screwing up LOL Other then that waiting on the next episode. AND HOORAY for seto and koushuu! Literally only good parts in this episode. |

| Oh wow, great episode. I really liked the pacing here, as we got to see Furuya's growth in such a short amount of time. The scene with the slow-mo rain was done really well! Also I'm really enjoying season 2's new OST. |
| Can't seem to get hyped up for this show anymore... Something about the "Sawamura is the main character but Furuya gets more screentime" is unsettling. It just isn't as exciting as other shows like Major or Hajime no Ippo. Ippo being the perfect example of having other characters take up the spotlight but the MC is still the most exciting. It just kinda feels like this show is milking it for the long haul and making the pacing/build up for the MC way too long. |

| Why did they make Inui look like Mukai's grandpa LOL. How are they gonna make Seido defend in that shitty weather and then stop the game when they have the momentum and Teitou is about to have to defend in the rain? That's bullshit. That shot of the baseball spinning in the rain for that last strikeout was pretty awesome though. |
| Eh, the episode was really weird. They just skipped right into the match, and I feel like the match moved a bit too fast. So far the producers are not doing a very good job imo at making this 'season two'. I am taking a break off this sequel for now. |

| Damn this series! I told myself I'd just finish the first season and that's it. I'm not going to watch this long series anymore. I don't know why I'm still watching this honestly, every time I try to get away from it, there's always some kind of event that wouldn't let me drop it. |

| Can't get over how Inui is drawn.. he looks more like a middle-aged man (even older!) than a high schooler. Also, I thought that blond kid was Mei since his first appearance. LOL should've given him another hair color or a completely different hairstyle or something @_@ |

| I didn't expect the match to start so soon, would've prefered more build, but whatever. Good start for this match and as always, the soundtracks in this series are fantastic. And lol, Furuyas momentum is gone. |

| I don't hate Furuya, but I'am done with him. Please someone tell me that if I continue seeing this show Eijun it's gonna get the highligth that him deserves. And of course, the coach has to stay at the team, I'am really hating tha new dull coach, it's a such a jerk! |

| Feels like we're going bit fast through the match against a powerhouse team here. That last pitch of Furuya was legit awesome, he definitely feels like he improved a lot compared to the previous season. |
