I did quite enjoy that. All the main cast were very likable (especially Chiyo) and the soundtrack was delightfully whimsical. Not quite as great as Nichijou but still a solid 7/10.

I absolutely love this anime. It definitely has the highest rewatch value for me than anything I've ever seen because it incorporates just the right kind of eccentric humor, relaxing atmosphere and touching parts. I generally do not like school, comedy, or slide of life, but it really is a league of it's own. Also, I tend to like subtitles over dubbed anime, but for this one I REALLY love the dub.

To me, this is the most "nostalgic" series since my friend and I like to watch it whenever the weather gets nice. My humor must have hardly changed in over ten plus years, heh. It's not exactly a masterpiece in terms of anime overall, but for the genre that it fits in, it is top of the line. 8/10

Perfect conclusion, it was so simple and down to earth, but executed so damn well. The narrative wasn't even trying hard, yet managed to be emotional on such a subtle level, I was sitting there with teary eyes.

And not just this finale, it was an overall extremely well handled show.

The gags always hit the mark with their timing and I laughed wholeheartedly over them and the brilliant character interactions. Admittedly, you could say that many of them were repetive, somehow they still managed to keep things fresh, just with great execution.

Of course it helped too that I digged the cast. It's really something that I actually loved all 6 maincast members + Yukari equally. All their personalities seemed quite standard at first glance, but they were utilized to the fullest during the jokes and over the course of the 26 episodes they added a decent amount of depth to them.

This is definitely absolute top tier when it comes to cute girls shows.

Disappointed to be honest. After a while the humour and jokes got really repetitive and the voices of a couple of the characters hurt my ears. I can see why it was a pioneer back in the day, but nowadays this would be reduced to a 12 episode series.

That was such a great anime, I loved it so much that I watched almost an episode every 1 or 2 weeks to take as much time watching it as possible and not end it in 1 day like I used to do with other anime. It helped me through a lot so this will probably remain in my top list for a long time if not forever.
Also, Koyomi's voice acting when she was told that she was told that she didn't get accepted was so convincing it was great. All VAs were amazing in the anime. Great work. I'm gonna miss it so much.
I hope yotsuba&to gets an amazing anime like this one. or at least for the manga to get more chapters and ends well.

Darn, such a sweet ending i've ever seen. I almost forgot that i had seen a generic SoL CGDCT. But with the end like that, its completely different. Hell, its actually amazing. A legendary masterpiece. Both content a balanced amount of cuteness overload, hilarious moment, a dumpster behaviour, a comedic sceneries, random shit activity, a pure old joke, weird slangs, and else. Yet, Azumanga Daioh brought back some heart-warming feelings that i forget to feel like this show. Thats it. A very stunning end, with complete scenes of graduating ceremonies, in so much laughter. I can't help myself, tearing my eyes every seconds.

Its time to go. 10/10 must be worth it enough for wasting my time to seeing this legendary masterpiece of comedic random shit. I can't lie. Pure gold. Yet, innocent girls kept innocent souls at last. They all were always on my hearts, no missing point. They can keep wondering in a complete different worlds, reach their dreams. I must happy, right? Like their faces in the end, a fun-ride until its final blow! Thats it. Oh, this is my best three among all the girls. I can't help myself made this lists, so, well, thats okay!

Chiyo, the great genius loli with a funny behaviour. Her innocent soul really match well with the other girls. Its made her appearance solid, and can't be replaced with the other girls! Yet, her cuteness always be her marked for me on this show. Thanks to her seiyuu, really put so much effort! 10/10, my beloved girls. No. I am not lolicon. The reason because of her character, okay!

Osaka, the great comedian among all of them. Even if she sometimes weird af, crazy af, psycho shit af, slower than a snail af, sleepy as hell, her acts shall be a masterpiece and pure gold comedic on this show. A legendary character i've ever, the leading comedy aspect from this show. 10/10 Be glad!

An for the last, Sakaki san! Her appearance can't be forgettable. Her moment with the cat, Yama. And ofc that shitty Kamineko, i can't believe that cat still annoying even in the last scenes. Goddamned with that cat! Her pure innocent soul was a silver on this show. Yet, her abilities were great. Almost perfect on every aspects. Its because her body? Ofc! Her shy acts? Yeah! A cool and cute overloaded? Sure! 10/10 for her great performance to satisfied me. Be a good doctor, eh?

The rest character were just great. But, i would like to separated three among them to give them more respect. Lol!

Okay, thats it, i guess, finally! But, still. If i comparing this to Nichijou, it had a same hypes and gave a same amount of laughter. But, Nichijou brought back more random shit, and unfortunately, its continuations were really bad. I mean, their end not goes well. If only Nichijou had the same amount of ending like this one. Not with the bittersweat approach. But, a proper end with last moments in the graduation might be a masterpiece. So ... sorry, then.

I just broke my previous consideration. I won't give a 10 on SoL, even if its a CGDCT SoL type of show. However, Azumanga was an exception. Its legendary statuses make me believe that i was right. 10 points for them. Not changing my view for the other SoL. So, yeah, thats it! A legend must be
respect much, so thats my wisen choice i've ever made!

Ah man what a great school slice of life. One of the best I've watched in a while. My only complaint was that Kimura gave off too many pedo vibes and his jokes usually didn't land with me. Other than that tho, I really loved all the characters. Not quite a K-On! level graduation episode, but it was fantastic none the less.

Man, Graduation really hits different. I haven't experienced graduation in my life.

• I didn't attend graduation in elem. because I was sick that time.
• I also didn't attend moving up ceremony when I'm in highschool because I failed 1 subject and had to take summer class
• In my Senior High, The Graduation has been cancelled because of Covid-19 Pandemic.

I wonder If my college graduation comes, will it be the same as the rest of it?

Hate bittersweet, but it has to happen.

Several moments that should've probably had me tearing, but in true Azumanga fashion they had to interrupt the tears with laughter. Chiyo getting her award, and then Tomo managing to to start a full standing ovation. Singing the graduation song, and Tomo being tortured by Yomi's 'singing' followed by Chiyo gradually breaking down and the concerned classmates trying to comfort her. Chiyo crying in front of Yukari, and Yukari just pinching her nose until she's gasping for air.

There were a few nice phrases during the post-graduation section too. Yukari saying Kagura has the memories made in the classroom to take as a keepsake was beautiful, and Kimura's graduation message on the chalkboard was surprisingly deep......until he ruined the moment for Kaorin.

Really happy that Yomi got into her college in the end, and that Chiyo realised they can still be all together after high school (although it didn't click with her that she's going to be going by herself to the US :P)

Really enjoyable older series that has definitely stood the test of time and can be considered a classic :3

That was quite good, almost teared up a little at the end. It wasn't the comedy that made me burst out in laughter, the comedy was really dry and stretched out often instead for the most part, a different kind of humor. I would say Chiyo and Osaka were my fav characters out of the main bunch, Yukari Sensei as well. Chiyo getting picked on was quite an amusing gag lol, bless her. 8/10.

I've known about Azumanga Daioh for over a decade, as it was one of the first shows I recognized as an anime. It was one of those shows in the mid-2000s that was memed to hell and back, where I'd see out of context screenshots, gifs, and videos posted references scenes throughout the show. Things ranging from Norio Wakamoto's amazing voice acting, Osaka's antics, various characters getting the crap beat out of them, and other things would float around, but I never got around to watching it until 2017. By that point, I felt I'd watched enough anime to actually understand why Azumanga Daioh was so revered as an apparently outstanding comedy, even over a decade later.

Azumanga Daioh is definitely one of the best comedies I've seen in a long, long time. It's not just hilarious in its writing, but also in its setups, delivery, situations, and general insanity. On top of that, it's fully capable of pulling sentimental scenes without getting overly sappy. It reminds me of a cross between Sketchbook Full Colors and something along the lines of Lucky Star or K-On, where Azumanga Daioh is a comedy that maintains a focus on its characters and world. I love watching the characters explore their own neighborhoods and streets. I love watching them take a trip out to Okinawa and run wild. I love watching them meet new people and grow their little community over time. I love seeing them decide their futures, but still maintain their present friendship.

Thinking about it, since Chiyo skipped so many grades, she's never actually attended a graduation before. She's also separated from her original classmates, entering high school knowing nobody. On top of that, now that she's planning on studying in America, she'll be thrust into another setting where she's separated by large distances from her friends. It hit me when she stared at everyone walking to the amusement park. Still, the show doesn't dwell on these kinds of sentiments for too long, and immediately proceeds to the next joke. It almost feels like the characters are using gags and comedic jabs to prevent things from getting to heavy. Things like Kagura breaking down in the classroom while Yukari tried making cool one-liners gave me that impression. Alone, these characters would probably be more emotional or contemplative, but together, they can forget their troubles and just have fun being around each other. I suppose that in and of itself is pretty sappy, but for the purpose of this show, it's an effective way to also leave its viewers with feelings of sentimental relief.

For such a great sendoff, Azumanga Daioh definitely earned its reputation and its long standing legacy of jokes, memes, and infamy. Great stuff.
