| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was a pretty decent episode with the match. OUT. There were some great plays too. I hope to see a triple play or something in the future though. New ED song?! Nice. I thought the new OP song was great too. Still, Yeung and his plays were what stood out the most there. |

| I am not really enjoying Yeung's one man army kind of baseball... For some reason I find Furuya being the pitcher is a bit... boring maybe? Seido go beat them!!! Experience and skills > Luck! |

| It should be "You" (or Yoh is fine too I think) not Yeung...even the Mandarin pronunciation for his last name is Yang. Not sure how the translators got Yeung :o I love you Ishikawa Kaito, but lol at the Mandarin. I had to try pretty hard to hear what he was saying. I think that might be a tad less understandable than most VA's attempts at English. Still, props to him for trying :) I guess if it's a foreign language, he excels at Ledo's language. You's got the umpire on his side due to his excellent control, not only that, but seems like many things are just going their way and not Seidou's, such as that one miracle catch. You's doing well, but he can't pull on his team forever by himself, and they definitely can't win just with miracles. Plus, Seidou hasn't even put out their other pitchers yet! |

Experience and skills > Luck! I found this to be pretty interesting. The protagonists are all about skills instead of luck and are losing to luck, usually a protagonist skill. Quite intense episode overall, 5/5. |

| what a joke of a team that is.. 1 player makes all the plays (pitches, hits, etc.) they probably won't lose to them but seeing Seido struggling is funny.. that random catch tho, hilarious. |

| Oh lordy, the voice on Hiro doesn't quite fit the huge stature. A little frustrating that Tetsuya's hit was caught by a 'gag' fluke, but there has to be some difficulty to keep the tension up. The flashback in the middle of the match felt a little awkward, but overall, a great build-up for the rest of the match. My biggest gripe is how Seido's been completely trumped essentially by the ability of one player, but it's still early days. |

XD Although I would like to see more of Sawamura as well, baseball is a team sport and therefore everyone gets screen time (like they should!). Less of Furuya though... he's a little boring to watch. :P |
| The new opening makes me really excited about what's yet to come. Looks like there will be some intense games! That number 20 batter with the demon face. Oh yeah! ~~ I like it quite a bit. The episode itself was also really good. I love that Taiwan pitcher and how his presence carries the entire team. Awesome player. And Seido is having quite a bit of bad luck here as well, but Furuya seems to be still holding up quite well. I wonder how they will turn this thing around. This will probably be the best match yet. Already very goosebumpy. :3 |

| I feel that this was the most boring episode yet. So many still shots, shocked faces, tense faces, then many group shots of various faces. Also, Eijun popped up every now and then just to be stupid where no one wants to see him - outside the pitch being useless. Hopefully something fun happens next week. Even that mob character Kawakami seems more interesting than Furuya |
| Good ep. Love how they're showing how BA Seidou's senpai's are but at the same time still not being able to hit it due to bad luck and such. Lol'd at Tanba telling Furuya to blame it on Miyuki if it's a miss XD Well, I am hyped for the nxt eps!! Eijun's time to shine??? |

| I've seen defenses like this in football. Teams that would put all eleven men in defense the moment they get the lead, but the moment it concedes even one goal, that's it. No matter how brilliant a wall is, the moment one brick is taken out, the rest will come out easy. So basically, the moment Yoh gives up a run, he'll fall apart. That, at the very least, is how it normally works. Also, judging by the pace, I'm guessing we'll see Raichi within the next 3 episodes or so. I can't wait. P.S. Why are the subs calling him Yeung? And "clockworks"? Isn't he supposed to be the "Precise Machine"? |

| the animation in the new OP is surprisingly good, as expected from Madhouse x Production I.G (and yeah Pro I.G, do more sports anime plss) I was hoping that Yoh will hit the ball when Furuya's pitching...and he did.... I feel bad LOLSOBS sorry Seidou the fluke catch is LOLOLOL "I'll guess I'll play it safe..... *dives to the ground* *ball flies into his mitt* A MIRACLE SCORPION CATCH" I DIED omfg this episode is so intense, and although I favor Eijun more than Furuya, it's still nice to see Furuya in the match, NEXT UP, EIJUN YOU DORK GET OUT AND BE THE MONSTER YOU AREEEeeE |

| Loved this episodes. One of my favorites. Very challenging for them, I don't think they will lose since that would cut the story short, but the odds of them winning don't seem good. |

| Nice animation for the new OP! Loving the OST as always. It was SO tense this episode, especially when Yeung hit Furuya's pitch. I love it! I don't believe there's a true mc in this series anymore. Sure he was in the beginning, but once he arrived at seido he become one of the many characters getting attention. I think that's great, because the character development is much better that way, and it improves the feeling of a real team if you know every member better. Furuya seems to piss a lot of people off, sure Sawamura is more fun to watch but it's the struggle of him reaching the mound that makes things interesting. If he was up there all the time kicking ass like an overpowered god this anime would suck. It's the fact that he's so motivated to reach the top even though he's far from the best that makes things awesome |

I guess the translators used the cantonese pronounication of the name? Though as the character is taiwanese, mandarin pronounciation would be more accurate. His mandarin is funny, could barely understand him though. xD |
