| Man, I was not expecting to like this nearly as much as I did but this was a phenomenal first episode. Narumi is a fucking GOAT. Also I see we're reusing that same Bump of Chicken song. This has got to be like the 5th or 6th anime I've heard use it. |
| Damn, this was a brilliant and odd first episode! Really enjoyed the subtle and abrupt changes in direction every now and then, it just felt so natural oddly enough. Even then, I wish they don’t resort to this means for later episodes as it could possibly downgrade the show. First impressions of the show are solid thus far, I hope the production value and storyline will keep the series interesting and as engaging as this introductory episode throughout its course. Masaru’s situation seems like a little weird to come to terms with and the whole “puppets” premise so far was just thrown in. I’m curious to know more about the family circumstances and whatnot, the Grandfather there hinted something bad so I’m looking forward to seeing more info on that. Not fully into his character, just yet. But the other two seem really interesting so far, Narumi the typical but intriguing main character and Shirogane the caring but badass female lead. For now, I only hope the Characters don’t become monotonous and start to accept and move on with each other. I can’t stop but think of Narumi’s disease as hilarious though, his attempt to make someone and anyone laugh at the beginning was so very hilarious *facepalm*. The extreme facial expressions though were very extreme, I must say, not the biggest fan of that personally. Shirogane’s battle with the puppet was brilliantly animated and the action sequences were on point, what a delight to have, and similarly with the whole train action scenes. Soundtrack of the fights were brilliant too and it’s by the same Sound Director as that of Boku no Hero Academia(Whoohoo!), I’m really going to like this show by the looks of it. Op by Bump of Chicken was glorious and so were the clorful display of visuals especially during the first few seconds! ED was brilliant too, especially the visuals! Comedy of the show was on point for the most bit too. Looks like we’re up for an interesting battle next up, so I’m highly looking forward to that! |

| Watching it thanks to two french youtubers (Harouban et Ermite Moderne si vous êtes là ;)), and I'm really glad it lived up to the expectations they put into it. Beautiful visuals, expressive characters and really good soundtrack. One of the best 1st episode this season. |

| Great, I hope they do the same as Ushio no Tora, make a faithful adaptation of a classic manga, cutting some things, but not letting the anime feel rushed. Animation is good, VA too (Takamura's voice <3), and I love Fujita Kazuhiro's savage art style. Also liked the plot. |

| On one hand, I want to continue because of Hayashibara... on the other, it's clearly nothing especially interesting, just like the manga, but it even lacks the manga's graphical style. It instead looksway too thin and simple. 3/5 |
| IT'S TAKAMURA MAMORU! HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! lol It's been a while since I heard Rikiya Koyama's voice in an Anime but he will always be Takamura Mamoru from Hajime no Ippo to me. Even Narumi looks like Takamura a bit. Shirgone is hot and a badass but she was kind of annoying denying Narumi's help when she was one of the people who hurt him. Hardheaded dummy. Arlequin is awesome and I'm waiting to see more blood and puppets. |

| This is certainly different, but it's somewhat interesting as well. Shirogane looks an awful lot like 004 from Cyborg 009 though. :P |

| Decent first episode which caught my attention enough to keep on watching. The animation is good and I loved the OP :) So Masaguri is on the run from a couple of creepy puppets. His father died in a car accident (which was caused by a puppet I presume) and his grandfather once told him that his family is obsessed with certain puppets as well... Interesting. Shirogane is badass by the way, and I am sure she will be able to protect the boy. Oh and Narumi has to make people laugh otherwise he 'dies'? Can't wait for the next episode! |

| Great start, interesting concept with the puppets and all Arlequinn looks pretty huge and Narumi's seizure problem looks like something that will become an obstacle in upcoming battles |
