Thank you, communication is always the bottom line, I don't care if people agree with my stance or not, as long as they understand where I'm coming from. I really hope you like it, it's something you have to approach with an open mind to get the most out of. I think it should help sell the point that I usually discredit any anime that uses taboo subjects to gain attention. So when one does so but actually want to tell a heartfelt message, I can't help but respect it. Even better when the anime actually hit me, the cynical bastard, in "da feelz."

Sure, when I have the time. I have watched about half of it before putting it on hold because I got bored of anime in general, but that was years ago. I kept seeing some AMV videos that looked badass so as soon as I have the time I'll start it from the start again, afterall, it is one of the best shounen around. Right now I don't have much free time but as soom as I do, this will be the main dish served.

Koi Kaze treats the subject matter responsibly, it doesn't bastardize or sensationalize incest, it simply presents a story where the character's feelings manifest in ways they have no control over. You won't exactly call a soldier a murderer during wartime because society deem that "acceptable," but if that same soldier guns down someone during times of peace, that one person's life takes precedence over the potential dozens that person may have killed during wartime because that's what society has constructed as morally unjust and punishable by death. In that sense, Koi Kaze's love is "taboo" because that's what society during our time period has deemed as such. Individuals don't determine societal norms, collectives do. Koi Kaze shows the result of such with its ill-fated romance.
Koi Kaze is so honest about that realization that group consensus is what dictates us that I honestly feel pity and empathy for that kind of troubling circumstance. Not many titles get me to genuinely feel bad for their scenarios in that way, which makes the show special in and of itself. And this doesn't even mean I think this sort of relationship should be accepted, in actuality, I think the psychological damage it can cause if it doesn't work out in the end, or even the damage it can cause kids born from that relationship, trying to cope with their parents' decision, is far greater than the rewards of being able to freely open up to the idea. So in short, this anime got me to sympathize with something I usually would be against, while at the same time pulling at my heartstrings in ways very few has.

Personal style, anime boards banter. But if you had personally taken in great offense then sincerely "すみません." But knowing a Jewish doctor who treated military scars to recovery very recently: "Learn to see the bigger picture of things in life". She was very different from the many media stereotypes first hand.

Had guess that your intentions were on the lulz segment but wanted to be sure to differentiate it from the malicious kind.
zaladinos Feb 6, 9:48 AM
Don't see what the issue is unless you felt it was too offensive. Frankly, don't see in eye with the hatred and issue against Jews/Israelis in any manner especially in the social media. Engimatic in a positive way as how Tolkien saw them with all due respect.

The board's structure of copy/paste is quite unfriendly so will just post the hyperlink quote.

Pragmatisim, frankly. But this world is full of irony to quote the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" route.
