Great first episode. Didn't know they were gonna go the supernatural direction, kind of a weird choice. I'm looking forward to the rest.

huh no idea what i was about to watch op plays guess this is the wake up girls of 2020? all of them get cards in a willywonka like setting and end up going to some secret underground idol training office okay little strange but whatever then THE WALL where it spits out orders you must obey, me i would've noped the fuck out of there but everyone was surprisingly cool with it lol.

supernatural twist is strange but ill take anything different with a idol show girls are cute good ace sense of fashion not a fan of using non pro VA's but eh more bothered by the not good looking CGI which will most likely be a thing since the budget for this doesn't look all that high

I don't really watch Idol anime as they are normally all the same. The only reason i started watching it was my allegiance to Sally. Either way i liked the first episode quite a bit. Seems different to the other Idol anime I've watched so far.

Before saying the VA is bad, remember, the 11 girls/seiyuus were selected from more than 10.000 contestants, and also the concept of 22/7 is "Digital Seiyuu Idol Group" who suppose to do voice acting from the start, not only singing/dancing.

Friendly reminder that 22/7 was formed since the beginning to have a group of newbie girls to be VA and idols. And that after the audition they had classes about both to be professionals.

Very glad to see Sally, Ayaka, Jun, Miyako, and Reiko all turned into anime! --- I'm almost in tears of joy. Although the other three members don't really appeal to me.

so they have some sort of magical wall? interesting..

God the voice acting is horrible

they aren't professional voice actors, they are debuting idols, so obviously their voice acting doesnt feel the same.
i personally feel that it adds a degree of realism, especially with Miu's voice.

I think this anime is go to be pretty interesting!
I think they also it a darker tune to all this with that wall.
I like Miu she is pretty relatable too me. I also think the rest of the cast is pretty interesting.
I maybe not so happy with the studio A-1 Pictures animation isn't bad but I prefer the CloverWorks animation they used for the Alternative version Ano Hi no Kanojo-tachi that is still airing.
I keep my hopes up for this anime!

It's not trending in Japan unless Tokyosaurus covers it on Youtube. Sorry, I had to make that joke.

Iether way; I like Miu for sure. I totally can feel her. People do lie indeed pretty much all the time. Our society is so fake being honest, telling the truth and being real bothers people.

I like Miu the protagonist, she is not like typical Nakama Power Warrior. Overall, the story kinda trying to avoid generic idol show which usually make an idol group with their schoolmates. But, still meh for me.

Me, when i got a mysterious invitation letter simply i will ignore it or calling police to avoid worst scenario. I mean, its possibly from a creepy stalker. But, the hell they believe it without a big doubt. Also, why the hell those girl didn't feel fear when they are in a dark tunnel with suspicios guy?

So, 22/7 is pi ?

I'm totally going to be biased with this as I'm watching 22/7 on MX for already quite some time and their music videos...

It's finally here, the first episode of 22/7! I'm so happy.
Also see that quite some people have issues with their voice acting, I think you'll get used to it one or the other way.
A-1 Pictures did a decent animation. I expected more but since this is the intro/prologue, I hope we'll see some stunning animation/scenes in the upcoming episodes.

The OP is beautiful and good God, Miu is depressing, I love it. Those first two lines and the opening song itself... Ohhh...~ Time for a repeat.
I think I like the reaction Miu has with the invitation and doubted the situation, and sure, she went, but still happy that she was not like Nicole.

I see AKB0048 season 3 is starting good :D

Jokes aside, the opening was very good and Satou Reika was cute. I'm really looking forward to see what this series can offer but I feel like the pacing in the first episode was off. Also found Nicole to be annoying in this episode too...

Surprised on comments on the VA. I thought the VA acting was fine. Sure, Miu's VA was strange to listen to at first, but it got normal as it went along.

As for the ep, I thought it promising for an opening ep.

The voice acting has alot of room for improvement, definitely, but they are perfectly normal for girls of that age. If you call anything that doesn't sound squeaky high pitch moe a 30+ old's voice, then you just watched too much anime and have an unrealistic view of real humans. I, for one, think it's refreshing that they are more authentic than every generic kawaii idol girl voice you've heard before.

I've been following 22/7 since 2018, not sure what I was expecting from the anime but it definitely wasn't a wall. Mysteriousness reminds me of Revue Starlight in a way.

I liked the little interaction between Reika and Akane, hope they're in some more scenes together.

I'm mostly here out of loyalty for the group so I'll be watching until the end. ED sounds great

Hmm, I concur that it is a small world that Miu is willingly trying to wall herself in (that includes the things said at the end). The pride of one's self-image and emotional suffering was sort of captured, but in general her thought stream is ...limiting to put it mildly. I sort of want to avoid boxing myself into such characters mindsets unless its a real world situation.
Not sure about watching the next episode.

Surprisingly decent, quite intriguing. I've seen a decent amount of idol shows but this definitely felt way different compared to anything else in the genre. At the very least the first episode had a way different atmosphere.

Curious about the door, wonder if the series will actually have some sort of super natural element.

I thought the narration and characterization was quite nice and while it feels grim at times, the little flashes of Miu smiling do feel hopeful.

The meaning of 22/7? It's Pi, just saying. xD

The visuals are so nice, cute and brightly, just how i like. The music gives the anime an emotional and real feeling that has to be considered.
The characters are nice too, a lot of different personalities are around and ready to express themselves.
I was wondering if that wall thing represents a real thing in the world or it's just pure fantasy. However, looks very interesting!
One of my favorites this season.

So the illuminati group assemble 8 pretty girls to form a new idol xD

Seriously speaking, this ep was decent
I see a lot of potential waifus
Looking for more from this anime

So for VA's i think its good its different on whats we used to hear so +1 for its uniqueness

It reminds me of when Wake-up Girls! aired back in 2014 all of main idol/seiyuus were total newbie VAs and thought they didn't fit their characters at all, look at them 5 years later. And speaking of, 22/7 definetly has the same vibes as WUG minus the supernatural thing.

I don't like the show. This show is too dark and negative. I'm so used to love live that when I watch 22/7 epsiode 1 I hated it. Love live is more positive and help encourage people to be determined while 22/7 acts like there's no hope and we should just give up. The main character is negative as heck. She acts like theres no hope and its the end of the world. The main character gives up too easily and doesn't think "I'll try harder and one day I'll will get a job!". Instead she just give up and accepted the idol thing. She is a type of person that do decisions base on emotion not by logic. Instead of her being logical and have faith to try to find another job she just quickly decided to join emotionally by saying "I'm gonna to become the top idol". She doesn't realize she's making her life worse by not thinking logical and not trusting her instincts that this idol industry is not worth being in. Just because you lose a job doesn't mean you just give up.

The reason why i prefer love live is because whenever there is a problem they try to over come it. They also encourage each other that there is hope and have faith. When things gets hard they don't lose hope. While 22/7 just saying accept the corruption and give up.

I also don't like how Miu is a hypocrite acting like adults are just monsters. Children do the same. I be hearing children killing their parents over video games. That's selfish. She has a child like mind-set thinking children are more superior. Adults have more experience in life so they know more. She doesn't understand just because some adults are bad doesn't mean all of them are. Nobody is perfect in life. People make mistakes but she expects adults to be perfect. She saying adults are selfish but one day she'll become a adult too. I guess she'll be selfish in the future because she will be a adult.

Miu is depress because she choose to be depress. She blames adults are the reason why she miserable. That girl needs therapy because just she's lost. Also that wall thing creeps me out. It's like some demonic/cult stuff. The wall looks like a evil god or something. Didn't expect it to be that negative. I was hoping it would be like love live or ensemble stars. Instead it's some evil demonic stuff

I liked it I guess? I happened to have a thing for natural voices so I didn't hate the voice acting. And if I have to be honest, I'm here for Sally, who's playing Sakura Fujima. But like, oh god, I think they tried copying AKB0048?? Some of the elements are really similar but they at least still have large differences. I'll keep watching I guess, Miu kind of annoyed me in a way, with her assumptions about people, and Idols, but she's alright I guess. I hope we get more in depth with the other girls as well and not just Miu and girl with short blonde hair. I'm not good at knowing names.

I was surprised to heard 'sexy' when I am used to hear 'sekushii' in anime. I am assuming that is Amaki Sally's influence.
'Baby' uh. What. Did Sally write this reaction line herself.
The manager is sexy.
I didn't expect the wall thing to be part of plot.
Miu's an interesting protagonist, I like her character design as well.
Nice ED song.
It's promising actually. Chances to be better than Love Live based on the direction it's going.

Of all the new seasonal shows, I did not expect to be disappointed by this one... And I'm a sucker for idols animés, plus the visuals look good and I love the chara design.

As a lot of people said, the voice acting is not on point. The animé seems to be overly dramatic from the start which is not a good sign for me, I like some drama but it was too much. I don't understand the choice to make Miu the main character, I guess she will grow out of her sadness but my gosh it was so boring listening to her interior monologue for so long. Then to switch to a sudden wierd humourous screne where all the characters are thrown at the screen with cliché introductions. And the surnatural elements don't blend well with the rest of the episode which is down to earth.

I don't know, it feels pretentious and not very inspired, but we'll see.

Idol shows like this are the reason why I stray away from watching them (i.e. Wake Up, Girls!) not to mention the entirely new Seiyuus who are just diving into the idol scene. Revue Starlight broke the mold and that's that, but as for 22/7, it didn't seem like they'd start on the right footing.

As VAs, the girls of 22/7 are decent to mediocre (like you could tell from hindsight) and worse, NOT when they're performing with their "digitised" voices from the OST.

From the selection choice to the "first journeys", everything here isn't what I'd portray of a good (at least decent) idol show, but being in despair and showing off the depressing side while being VERY contrived of its plot (NOT story) is just wrong on all levels. "Obeying society" as it seems without a second thought.

For one, Miu, (I suppose) the main character starts off being negative about her own world, if this was Angels of Death (Satsuriku no Tenshi) I'd believe, but it just felt like a lot of push and barely any pull. If anything, her pedestal for being in depression just doesn't give off the same vibes that it's expecting us to symphatize with.

Just going to give it the 3-episode rule...

I like her from past experience, but to be honest I'm not sure the way she's presented here gives a very good first impression to new viewers. She was usually the one who gets the "I want to protect" reaction, but here she was presented in such a gloomy way, speaking in such a monotone voice even though she's capable of much more expression than that. I blame the producers for not doing their best to help these girls shine.

There was nothing before as the anime is just beginning. All of the characters were only made by the VA on virtual youtuber or TV shows. Now they have their own script with a story to be told and the characters are fully realized, unlike before.
