| Like a breath of fresh air. From what I've seen airing, this has been the most promising first episode. Great art and the rakugo performances are fantastic. |
| Just love anything from the Shouwa period. Its got a unique touch. Good episode, like the characters esp Yotaro. For anybody interested in Rakugo, I recommend checking out Diane Kichijitsu. |

| This is exactly the type of anime that I've been waiting for. Easily the best first episode of the season, so far. It was very calming. I like the kind that don't really feel like an anime. I wish more josei manga got anime adaptions. |
| Wow that was good! I was actually captivated through the whole episode. I've not read the manga, but I am really loving the characters and setting a lot. Can't wait to see more. |
| I loved it. That story of the thief surprisingly captivated me. I've seen bits of rakugo before (also Joshiraku), but it usually didn't hold my interest very much. However, I'm looking forward to more performances. (Yakumo's a quick thinker!) And holy crap, I actually did not notice it was 50 minutes long until I read the forums! I thought it was the usual 20 and didn't even check the video. O.O Aristotlus said: I had a feeling I was gonna like this. Kinda gave me a bit of a Saraiya Goyou vibe, mainly with the character designs. I definitely see this going under a lot of people's radar this season. I did as well at some points, but Natsume Ono usually has a more somber style to her works. |
| Was already hyped for this before it aired and damn, it was actually pretty good! Love the vibe and concept, the setting is nice. The characters are interesting and quite likable so far. The concept of Rakugo is also very unique and glad this is telling a story different from typical anime. Found this 45 minute episode to be quite enthralling too and the dialogue is nice~ Ost seems good too. |
| This was so refreshing, yeah I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this. Great OST and I quite like the characters... plus dat jazz ED... Honestly this might be AOTS for me, unless Boku Machi isn't just all hype and can actually deliver. |

| This was really incredible. The pacing is really what made it. The entire time, it felt like it was going to get boring or drawn out, but it never did. Definitely a candidate for AOTS already. |

| I say this is the dark horse for this season, the dialogue was well executed during the comedic acts (rakugo?) but the drama in between is still questionable for me. I want to know more about Konatsu's father as he played a key role as to where Mukojima is now. Anyway what time period is this anime set in? 1960 or something? |

| I never heard of "Rakugo" art before watching this. This "Rakugo" art is damn amazing :D Lighthearted Anime & has a soft touch to it, also Art & character designs are also good & character progression really nice :) I literally laughed when Kyojo (Forgot his name) was demonstrating that thief & burglar part. One of my most favorites this winter season so far... |
| Wow, unique and stunning ep! :) It's been a while since josei anime to come out, and I already loved the first ep(love the slow paced/the feels) , like all character(especially Yotaro), I even not blink when Yotaro telling the thief story lol(he is adorable), can't wait for the next ep :3 |
| I'm proud o Seki Tomokazu, to think he performed it without cut? (or if they had cuts then probably just a little) But yeah, saying a looooooooooooong monologue is really tough. |
| Woow. This one caught me by surprise. Never knew that "rakugo" thing exists, but knowing it now I'm impressed this anime can brought it this way. So far one of the best this season. |

| Deen is making a good show? It's really hard to believe, but this was pretty good so far. Definitely has potential to be the best show this season (not like there is any competition). |

| At times it is soothing, at times filled with tension, this was a great start. The light blue cotton lining thing was absolutely hilarious, even cabinets came with that pattern! The first half did a great job introducing the characters, conflict and the vast amount of passion involved into rakugo, while the second half showed despite the contrast of the two styles of rakugo, they both shined brilliantly and independently of each other, and was able alleviate some of the conflict and made a nice setup for what is ahead. |

| That was awesome! I've been wanting to see more of Rakugo after being introduced to it in Kamen Rider Fourze. This looks like it will be a great series. |

| Hidden gem of the season. Second best premiere episode after ERASED. This was just completely surprising how well it was done to the animation to some fantastic dialogue and characters. |
