Did you ever consider to stop making low quality threads multiple times a day?

No, I've never seen a reason to just outright quit. Due to time constraints I've made the decision to watch less of it, but I don't see the point in me quitting, it's not like I stopped enjoying it. I stopped enjoying anime as much as I used to, but then gems like Eizouken come every now and then and I shouldn't just not watch it because of a decision I could have made years ago.

Have you ever considered quitting watching movies or reading books? It's the same thing. Anime is a form of entertainment like anything else. If you need to cut down on it for personal reasons, that's fine, but "quitting" seems like you're trying to break an addiction like nicotine or something.

I kinda quit anime last year, I only watched a couple of movies and 3-gatsu no Lion. My reason for quitting was that I was not truly enjoying all of what I was watching and it was way to much anime. Also I was not paying enough attention to live-action movies and shows. So I decided to not watch any for the sake of it, but only what I was truly interested in, thus why I watched some. I was actually able to enjoy anime again so I lifted the anime ban I had imposed myself but I still go by the rule of watching what interests me, not just what's popular at the moment.

I stopped watching anime for over a a year and a half. Just was disinterested with it. Thought it would become a way more casual hobby but then I got back in when I started uni and became more dedicated to it than ever.

I thought about it, but it really shouldn't be a conscious decision. If you ever get tired of anime you'll just stop watching it naturally. Unless it's really interfering with your life. But even if busy you can still have a break, 20 minutes isn't that much, just be sure not to overdo it and there'll be no need to quit altogether.

I don't think I'll ever quit watching anime. Maybe due to lack of interest I might stop watching it regularly for some time, but I don't think I'll ever reach that point where I just stop watching it all together, for good.

Yes i have considered about it many times. You know, anime is so unproductive and it's a waste of time. Phew... i better do something more productive. Ohhh yeah but not now.... i have to go there is something important to do other than thinking about quitting.

I doubt that I'll ever outright quit it. There are times when I watch more anime, there are times when I watch less anime. And sometimes I even take a break from it completely for a while. But it's not like I have to decide whether I watch it or not, just like with other media.

Not really; it's my favorite form of entertainment. I'm constantly discovering new gems, and there are so many titles that I'm excited to watch.

I don't see the point of swearing off something. If you're tired of it, just do something else with your time. There's no need to approach this type of thing with such finality. Like, it's fine to just decide you don't want to watch anime, but then come back to it a significant amount of time later. We all evolve as people, and we might leave and come back to things multiple times in life. Just do the thing that you feel like doing, whether that's watching anime or reading a book or going for a hike.

Still gonna watch the 10% of anime which is actually good though. Gonna avoid the rest 90% piece of garbages.

No from simple reason: non-anime serials are mostly boring. There are maybe 10 non-anime serials I find out interesting. Even rewatching anime I've already seen is more interesting :) I don't really see any reason why to stop .... age ? don't care others around me saying it's cartoon for kids it's their problem not mine :D

I was 15 when I ordered a BD of Seikon no Qwaser with my parents consent as I got good grades from my final exams and said they'd let me buy what I want which so I did.

When I got it finally, I was dumbfounded to the pristine condition of the BD. Never once have I got my hands on one as I exclaimed to myself that no bare hands such as mine's deserves to hold something precious as this—a heaven-sent darling from the bosom of the Milky Way.

Having no time to waste, I hurried to the kitchen to set the blender and prepare the BD into it. And with all things done, I then set it to "Liquify" and waited as it all blended into a mere fine powder, and the result was beautiful. I poured and scooped all its contents out directly on the dining table and cut it up into lines and snorted it with a rolled-up kraft paper I used from the parcel the BD was wrapped in.

It can't be said enough by words how otherworldly that feeling was. I suddenly had memories of what events would unfold from the series, and it was so surreal that I can exactly picture them in my mind. It seemed like I had developed a new ability for a moment, and then it was gone and I had to snort more, but this time, another ability came up. I can now fly faster than Concorde unhindered by air resistance.

I once saved a woman from falling into her death in her bungee jump as her cord unexpectedly snapped. She honestly can't thank me enough and insisted to return the favor even if I wholeheartedly declined. She was bent on it, so in the end, I let her do the warm gesture which she was happy to do so. It felt so amazing being rewarded by getting more copies of Seikon no Qwaser BDs for this would ensure I'd be able to save more lives with them. And because of this, until this day, I haven't considered quitting anime. This is also a confession that I'm a superhero and I won't hide it anymore.

There are a lot of "so bad it's good" anime back then but now its just forgettable, poorly written, unimaginative, and delusional bullshit. I can't enjoy it anymore.

Very few things are keeping me from quitting anime these days. Kyoto Animation. The 2021 Gintama, The ongoing Chihayafuru. And the upcoming Kaguya-sama, Furuba and Oregairu sequels. But I guess I will stick with it for a while as long as we get stuff like Non Non Biyori or Love Live from time to time.

Once these are taken away, or I lose interest altogether, I will finally quit watching anime. 10 years back, I would be jumping with joy with each new sequel announcement but now it's very subdued for me. I can hardly watch much these days because of RL and all anyways.

I think 2022 will be my final year if I am still alive by then. Fingers crossed they announce a Spy x Family adaptation by KyoAni!

Hahah, I can really feel with ya. You need to keep your head cold and discipline yourself. I learned it the hard way. I consider anime watching equal to watching normal human series on Netflix. No difference. It's purely for entertainment (though some of them give you some valuable lesson - just like great movies). Beside that it's made for entertainment, nothing more.
