I already saw the two seasons of Black Lagoon but didn't see the OVA. I'll probably see it in the next days.
I normally have high expectations for the Seinen genre, but I enjoyed watching it. Revy is such a badass and the action (I really don't mind getting graphic) kept me hooked all the time.
These last few days I've watched Fairy Tail. As a big fan (it was my first anime), I got a bit disappointed with the ending. They made such a build-up for the villains and then they got wrecked so easily. Now I'm watching One Piece, what a hell of a ride xD
By the way, what's your favorite anime genre/type? So I can also make you some suggestions ^^

I'll pass there someday and share my thoughts!
I haven't seen a lot of older animes. I would like to give a try at the ones I used to watch as a kid (Cardcaptor Sakura is one of them), but I haven't got a lot of time. For now, I'm just sticking to seasonal animes and high rated ones.
Elfen Lied was the second anime I watched. It left me with a hollow feeling. It was the first time that I had the "And now, what do I do with my life?" feeling. So many unanswered questions. I really enjoyed the story and the fact that it reflects how humans deal with what's different than the "normal". It's a shame that they didn't animated all the manga chapters.
I actually might start to add more people ^^

I saw your forum post regarding being Generous or Harsh in scoring animes. It's funny because I made a revision recently on my scores and changed a lot of them... for worse xD
It's been a while since I added someone. I'm taking the opportunity to spend some time on MAL since my company is closed.
I hope to be able to get some recommendations from you, since you started watching anime before me. And you are also older than me ^^

Blessed Are The Sick is the best Morbid Angel album.

Hiya. Sorry for the delay with checking out all the music. I just have so many other things to take care of. Just know that it's on my list. lol

Nah, I've only lived in the US and have never been to another country.

...I just noticed you live in the same city as my love interest. XD Or rather, former love interest. Things are kinda messed up between us now and she's in the process of paying back a lot of money I gave her. She isn't on MAL, but is into anime and manga. (As well as high-end audio equipment like me.)

I'll get around to listening to and commenting on the music eventually. I've been in gaming mode lately. Got Borderlands 2 in July and have already played it for 500 hours! I've barely watched anime lately either due to that.

My favorite anime film is the first anime I ever saw, in the early '90s: Little Nemo: Adventures In Slumberland. Had no idea it was an anime until a few years ago. It was produced in both Japan and America. I've seen the dub many times, but still need to see the sub. I did mention the spin-off in that spoiler tag. But yeah, there's great anime from decades ago. I'm listening to this track at the moment, by a band formed by members from Dimmu Borgir and Satyricon.

21 seconds! That's how long it took to approve your friend request...lmao...but only by coincidence...and I hadn't been on MAL in awhile too.

I haven't heard Blind Guardian in a long time. Still need to listen to their discography. There are so many bands out there! Oh, nice. I've only seen IF live once. Jesper signed my shirt. lol. An old friend of mine hangs out with them whenever they come to New York. By the way, I had already made a short melodeath playlist for someone months ago, so I'll just paste that one. You may have heard most of these, though.

Some depressive black metal can be exciting, such as Shining. Check out these tracks! (Just click to stream.)
Låt Oss Ta Allt Från Varandra
Vemodets Arkitektur
Fullständigt Jävla Död Inuti
As for drone, these tracks come to mind. They're not really drone (rather, a mixture of other genres), but somewhat related in my eyes.
Neurosis: Crawl Back In
Jesu: Weightless & Horizontal
Thanks for the recommendation. I've heard of them, but haven't gotten around to listening to them. In Flames is my favorite band. (Though I hate their last few albums.) I met Jesper (the founding member) in 2004! I'll put together a melodeath playlist for ya later. \m/
