Only if you don't mind wasting your time or you just want to bash those shows.

Anime is about storytelling (there are more but just take storytelling for now) and if you don't enjoy a story then I won't bother myself to watch it. It would only waste my time and it would be a drag.

You do you boo. Why would you care what others think? If you have masochistic tendencies and tend to do things that you don't enjoy, then who are we to tell you not to? It is your free time, so it's up to you how you use it. I personally drop series that aren't fun, but that's simply because I have many much better things to do than watching series that I don't enjoy.

For me, it depends on how many episodes Are left, if it's around 4-6 I'll continue it, if not I might drop it.

But honestly just do what you want to. Continue them or not.

Don't waste your time over things you don't like, a wise man doesn't waste his time when it isn't worth it, well whatever you do you dude but I wouldn't push myself through Anime that bores me.

Why would you be an idiot over that? If anything, I am an idiot who keeps grinding 20+ seasonal a season every new anime season. Don't become me and be caught up with all 110 episodes of Kamisama Cocotama.

Depends on if there are other motivations to finishing them and personal preference. if you can justify watching them despite not liking them that's fine, if you can't and decide to drop them that's fine too. It's not like you couldn't ever pick the show back up if for some off reason you just decide to finish it.

Dropping is when I'm bored or annoyed by the show.

When an anime is bad enough, I actually get more amused by it. So I'll watch it.
I'm not a lolicon, you're just projecting your tendency to lewd 2D characters.

If your favourite character is Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, you are my soul mate.

Been a long time since I've been here, I'll continue expressing myself freely and believe everyone should too.

Often, bad shows are still entertaining so I watch them. But if they are bad and boring, well, I stay away from them to begin with.

It's okay in some cases, sometimes when for example you only have few episodes left so you might as well finish it instead of dropping an almost completed show. And sometimes even if the show is bad you're kinda curious how they're going to wrap all this mess up, so there's no real reason to drop it cause it managed to keep you interested. And there's also the 'so bad it's good' type of shows, when you're just curious how bad it can get and it's unintentionally funny to watch. It's only wrong if you're a completionist and never drop anime no matter what, even when you have to suffer through really unbearable shows.

Seeing how something can be done badly can be a thoroughly educative experience. You can understand specifically how and why it fucked up and compare it to similar shows that managed to avoid theses pitfalls.

I often like to really understand why I dislike a show before dropping it, which can be straight away, but it can also be at the end after I watched 12 episodes confused as to why I wasn't enjoying myself.

At the end of the day things are only comparatively good or bad, and knowing how it can be bad will help you distinguish and appreciate the steps taken to make another show good or excellent.

Having said that, it's often a far more educative and enjoyable experience to watch something that is good in a different way.

And also think about yourself in a few years, looking back and thinking "man I sure am glad I watched so much bad anime, I think it was a worthwhile experience in the long term and I definitively think it was the superior way to spend all this time I had.". I think there's a balance to be had and it's up to you to find it. Like I said watching a bad show can be a fruitful or even just funny experience, but it can also be a pointless and annoying experience that teaches you nothing and essentially just wastes your time. And time is the most precious resource.

I'd say if you find value in watch theses bad shows then go for it, and shit on them all you like. If you're just wasting your time, do something else.

Yeah it's OK to do that. I do it sometimes. Just last year I was watching Masamune-kun no Revenge, and it sucked. It was very boring. But I still completed it because it was airing on TV and I had nothing else to do on those days.
And the new Berserk adaptation too. I already knew it was going to suck, but hey, I had to find out how shit it was just so I could compare it to the manga and '97 adaptation.

But most people drop shows which they don't enjoy, which is pretty normal.

You don't enjoy your job? Get a new job.

You don't like the food? Go to another restaurant.

You don't like the amusement park? Go to another amusement park.

You don't like the movie? Watch another movie.

Pretty much the same thing.

It is okay, I do that all the time. If you don't think it is okay, that is another question. Unless you are a professional masochist/perfectionist, is better to not torture yourself and drop the damn thing, especially if it makes you suffer a lot.

Agree with the rest. That "4 episode rule" is bad all together. If a show can not provide some sort of interest or entertainment for you within the first episode, why force yourself to go through with it?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, people all have their quirks. Some people only watch battle anime. Some people watch anime with increased speeds. Some are masochists who force themselves to watch shows they can knowingly and willingly say they don't enjoy.

I watch anime to enjoy. I have too much time on my hands right now but I'd rather waste it on things that I would enjoy. That's just me though. If you don't have much time I suggest dropping it. You don't need to force yourself.

Yes it's okay if you swing that way.
A complete Review about the anime would be appreciated than one that stopped in the middle because it was trash but that doesn't change if it's still a trash in the end of episodes.

If you don't have anything else to do or watch, why not. Also bashing a show you don't like could be quite fun.

Personally, I don't watch things I don't like, so once I don't find enjoyment in a show anymore, what's the point in continuing? Drop. Until someone or somthing make me reconsider.

There's no reason to continue watching something if you hate it, except possibly for the purpose of discussion (why I still watch Attack on Titan)
In most cases, there is no reason to keep watching something you hate, but the only real loss from doing so is the feeling that you wasted your time.
If you want to stick it out to the end, there's nothing wrong with that either.

It's your time. You decide how to spend it.

If you're ok to spend your time on smt you don't like - go ahead, keep watching it.
Even if it's smt you dislike you can still get smt out of it, like knowing the type you dislike or depending on the genre either learn smt or see other perspectives and so forth.

Personally I put those animes I'm no longer liking for whatever reason or have lost interest in on hold, so that when someday my mind changes I can pick it up and finish.

If the anime is so super bad/annoying/whatever and so horrible I'd want to murder someone, yes, I'll drop it and not waste my precious time on smt I see no point in continuing. There are better things to see out there, that's for sure.
