| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- For a vampire girl, I admire her determination to train and follow her dreams. Looks like the training started this episode. Episode is fine but I hope they develop Irina's personality more. She seems kinda boring a main character. She also seems a bit careless at times but Lev is there to help her. |

| The path to becoming a cosmonaut is just the beginning for both Irina and Lev, under the supervision of vampire scientist Anya. And oh man, is she thirsty for Irina on her body lols. The cosmonaut training for both human and vampire to get used to how astronauts work in space, from food consumption to extreme heat, handling centrifugal gravity in space to parachuting practice flying fox style, relax drinking soda water (that Irina appeciates together with a slice of lemon) to relentless training. The history of vampires used in this fictionous world is exactly the same as the human world of drinking blood, but Irina doesn't and society blacklists them as such. But humans treating vampires are of no difference to keep them restrained lest they lust for blood, and testing them to their limits to no concern, that's what the vice-director Sagalevich (like many others) don't give two shits for test subjects like Irina. Unfortunately, both Anya and Lev are in no position to fight against this atrocity, but to go with it and to protect her while they can. The true enemy part though is something that intrigues me, it's not just the fictionous U.S. chasing after their tails, but one day, both Lev and Irina could betray them too, all of their efforts combined. All this while, I'm starting to adore both Lev and Irina's relationship a lot, even if it was baby steps with some hint of romance. Small steps, but they're getting there slowly with passing time. |

| Looks like this episode was more focused on Irina going for the astronaut's training as the episode is 'The road to becoming Astronauts'. Irina has some impressive physical abilities because of her being a vampire. Gotta say an astronaut's training program is one of the most intense ones out there if you're actually familiar with that stuff. We also got to see her in a swimsuit. NICE. Irina is so cute as well as Anya. Wanna see more of her. I like Lev's personality quite a lot. Overall, an interesting episode. They are actually doing a decent job of explaining the protocols. I would have easily enjoyed an astronaut series by itself. But, I guess I'll have to enjoy it with a cute Vampire girl being involved in it. Not complaining or anything. Once again, I prefer ED in this show. |

| Ok this episode was mostly focused on the astronaut training, still it was kinda cute seeing Irina being afraid to jump or her tasting soda water for the first time. |

| That vice-president was horrible, Lev should punch him at least once. Irina was fear of height and need to jump off from the tower, well... I understand that. It was a very tough time for her and everyone who got this kind of a phobia. btw..... Irina is very cute, tbh. |

| Irina being scared was so cute, bless her. Episode was focused more on the training aspect of things, with a lot of good scenes between the main leads and the funnies were honestly quite cute, maybe the vampiric girl is indeed going to get to space eh? Shaping out to be interesting, but maybe not to the animation quality of the first episode during that eating scene |

| Irina is pretty cute when she's scared. Well, most of the episode went to astronaut training. The characters are getting closer together so it works perfectly. We pretty much know that they'll get in love at some point. |

| From the garlic wearing scientist's dialogue and the later flashback, Lev got demoted for violence against a superior. Training begins. Irina's pride was hurt a little when Lev ran faster than her even though it was only a warm up. The scientists test the G-Forces she can handle in the centrifuge and the temperatures she can handle. Despite being able to withstand extremities more than a human, Lev still shows concern for Irina. Irina explains over a meal that vampires don't taste...they can feel smell, texture and temperature. Learning this, Lev offers her carbonated beverages, as this would trigger her senses more. He went out of his way to make a lemon seltzer for her. Irina is adorable during the imagine spots. So Irina does have a fear of heights but tries not to rely on Lev too much. This is meant to correspond with Vostok 1 in our world. Unlike the later Soyuz where the cosmonauts are still inside the capsule by the landing, Vostok indeed had the cosmonaut's seat eject from the capsule. I like that they are matching that detail. |

| Irina is absolutely adorable and that vice-president/scientist dude, forgot his role, should die already. Bastard managed to freaking injure her during the training. Absolutely loved the bit where Irina tries the fizzy drinks and her reactions were great. First the bewilderment of the first time tasting it and the second time with the Lemon Seltzer was just too freaking cute. So precious yet so Tsun Tsun afterwards. They are small steps, but I can tell that Irina and Lev are steadily getting along, even though Irina doesn't show it too often yet. |

| Huh, the commanders' intuition is right and it looks like a mole is indeed close to Lev and Irina. The close up on their face didn't indicate much other than the spy's young age...could the spy be a fellow aspirant cosmonaut? |
| Another solid episode. I can tell that these guys spent a lot of time researching and putting effort into building the atmosphere of the USSR. The background designs, the food and the soda machine were all nice touches to really set the mood. Of course, we get to know more about Irina and can't help but love her tsundere cuteness. Can't wait for more of this. |

| Really chill cosmonaut training episode, I loved it. Except that part with that garlic wearing ass scientist, fuck that dude. Lev has history of punching superiors because of people like him, I wouldn't mind Lev punching another one, specifically that dude. Slava seems like a nice dude? I hope. I wonder who that enemy on the inside is. Irina is super fucking adorable though holy shit. Really liking Irina and Lev's growing relationship. Godbless tsundere vampire waifus. Looking forward to the next episode. |

| A lot of training for Irina and she manages to support almost all of them even though it's hardcore and that she's afraid of height, but really I'm loving this anime to far, the relationship of the two main characters is developing and the way it's detailed and original for the space training part is great |

| This show's content isn't revolutionary. But I don't know why, but I am enjoying it. Ep 02 was really good, at least for me. Romance? It's OK I guess. But little moments of satisfactions are making this show worthy for my time. Hype for next Ep. |

| How Irina sucked that tube empty reminded of a certain part from Itadaki Saeki. I would like to post that GIF, but I don't want to get banned or some shit. Also the second time this weak that an animanga mentioned the milk = blood. Nice episode. Enjoyed this a lot more than the first one. |

| Still enjoyable. Irina is just a bonafide tsundere now, but that doesn’t feel out of place with how formulaic the rest of the anime is. I’d describe this anime like a movie that follows the Hollywood formula to a “t”. You won’t see anything you haven’t seen before, but still enjoy your time watching if you let yourself. Could cut back on the fanservice just a bit though. |

| I honestly can't have enough of Irina.. GIVE ME MORE! i honestly enjoy shows like this.. e.g: Spice Wolf etc where the main 2 characters are adults which slowly fall in love with each other not because its forced but rather their understandings meanwhile going through a bunch of events which only bring them closer.. God! i love this anime! |
| This show really fails to really intrigue me much despite how unique the show’s premise is. Perhaps the subpar production value and my gut instinct about some convoluted drama up ahead are to blame here. |

| irina pushing herself to the absolute LIMITS and successing but of course that success doesnt continue all the way, aka until the parachute training. good on her tho, damn professor was going way harsh but my girls a BOSS so one of the reason they chose lev was because he's the most decent person there? lmao. no wonder the other guys at the canteen from last ep felt .. Really childish even though they're "top elites" |
| The high temperature and g force scenes were just pathetic. Jazzy music too for some reason, yeah didn't go well with the scene at all Outside of that the content was ok, and sure I like her character design too, but I don't feel they're using the setting properly at all. The historical Soviet setting could be used to make a realistic tense / bleak atmosphere but because all the characters act like typical LN anime boys and girls, the realistic elements just feel tacked on |
| Ah gotta love those cute SoL moments in spite of some racist and discriminatory scenes throughout this episode. It seems that Irina is really AFRAID of heights, of all the weaknesses it's that one. And hey it's been a long time since I drinked carbonated drinks but I get the feeling of having a feel of it in your throat, it's really good and this episode as well. |
