| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Nice, I liked this episode. It went with the competitive atmosphere with action this time. All the major participants gets some spotlight. And lol, the girl obsessed with Erina also makes a creepy cameo again. I really liked Megumi's determination though. Sadatsuka's dish is about as creepy as she is lmao   Hisako did better though. |

| Glad to see that Souma falling asleep didn't hurt his dish at all lol This witch girl scares the shit out of me, but damn she can cook some good tasting food even though it smells like shit xDDD Lol at the writer dude suddenly becoming buff LMFAO Erina's assistant really impressed me with her dish, drive and her attitude and she deserved to win that showdown P.S. That witch girl needs to stay in her kind form forever because she looked way too cute....Sucks to be Hisako right now since this chick is obsessed with her now xD I'm gonna stand by my prediction and say that Takumi's bro is going to beat him so I'm looking forward to that |

| Just as I guessed, The fragrance of his dish work him up! Megumi constantly failing made Hojo a little too cocky. However Megumi's monkfish redeemed herself! Also we get a little bit of a Megumi flashback! Sadatsuka's dish looked and smelled like crap, however it was good enough to earn herself 84 points and 1st place for a while. Also, LOL at Alice's mask! Sadatsuka's creepy, LOL Arato's dish ends up being the better one, earning 92 points and 1st place for now Sadatsuka (Shiro) was born for that split second. Loved the look while it lasted! Hisako-oneesama LOL! Next episode, the Takumi brothers present their dish! Soma was only in the first minute of the episode :( Also the pacing is kinda slow. At this rate we probably won't even have Soma present his dish before the series ends. It seems more than likely that SnS will get a second season. It seems that they're gonna end the series (for now) after they select 4 people from each team. |

| Great episode. Monkfish is really tough to deal with and Im glad Megumi showed her skills on the big stage. Hopefully she scores well! And nice to see Hisako do well. |

| Love how all the Megumi haters got REKT and their reactions :P So satisfying It was so fun seeing all those losers getting below the 40s and then Nao suddenly with that disgusting food being the first +80 Dat Dominatrix foodgasm was friggin HAWT *A* Hisako owned Nao so hard though. To the extent where Nao changed her religion to Hisako-ism lol Poor Hisako-Oneesama having her as a stalker now XD Dat Shiro Nao tho <3 This is only gonna get better from here. Can't wait |

| Once again Shokugeki No Soma proves why I think it's one of the most entertaining and exciting show I have ever watched.. And it's about the food.. Who would have thought that anime based on making food can be so good? I don't know but somehow it manages to get me hyped everytime I'm starting to watch it. Interesting episode.. We did see more of characters backgrounds. |

| It's Hisako vs Tomoko err... Nao this week as the judging for the prelims begins. Some nice foodgasm visuals and even a brief Nao transformation at the end, as she is "healed" by/now obsesses over Hisako. :D We also saw a bit of Megumi's backstory that showed off her determination quite nicely. :) |

Little Megumi was so Kawaii, that fisherman couldn't refuse her request. Hopefully her dish will prove its worth with a high score. Hisako may have succeeded ridding Nao off of her Erina fandom, but now she got herself a stalker. I like how they changed the ending sequence too. Aldini brothers' battle next week should be interesting. |

| Some of the best foodgasms of the entire season. I lol'ed so hard at the people getting like 30 points (especially the guy who only got 6 points). I thought Souma was going to stay asleep until the last minute, good thing that wasn't the case. Nao's dish surprisingly tasted good despite smelling and looking like poisoned sludge. But Hisako's dish was really impressive. The way it transformed Nao actually made her look pretty cute. She shut that stalker down though. I'm also glad Megumi finally proved that she's able to do something without having to rely on Souma all the time. Big step up for her character. Can't wait to see the Aldini brothers' showdown as well as the rest of the dishes and foodgasms. EDIT: I almost forgot to mention that it's good that we got to see why Nao hates Hisako so much. |

| Dammit the foodgasms are getting even more awesome. That skinny guy who would only mumble turned into a big macho man after eating Hisako's curry lol. This episode was Hisako vs Nao. Nao is a witch who makes foul smelling crap which tastes good. That is so damn misleading. At least try and make them smell good. Why the hell do you have to be so suspicious with the food you make? She manages to get 80something points out of the judges who were literally destroying everyone who came before. She knows her ingredients and hence knows who combinations will give the best taste. But apparently she doesn't care about the smell as her food stinks. Her cooking method is so scary that it'll make children run away crying lol. But Hisako puts her in her place and shows her why she is Erina's lap dog. Hisako's curry erases the effects of Nao's black magic and beats the witch. She uses medicinal herbs in her dish. Lol Nao turned into a human after eating Hisako's curry. Now Hisako is Nao's onee-sama. Too bad for her though. Liked how they changed Nao's mixture in the ending sequence to make it resemble something edible. Nao's purpose here is for comedy and to show off Hisako's skills. She probably won't be showing up later on. This worked as an excuse to show us why Hisako is always by Erina's side. What skills led to Erina acknowledging Hisako as someone capable enough yo be by her side. It's amazing how much these judges can eat. They will be eating the dishes prepared by 30 students. That's a lot. Turns out Soma wasn't actually sleeping. He was waiting for things to get ready on the stove. They'll be leaving this for the last episode. Now to see the Aldini Bros up against each other. |
| Honestly I'm dissapointed. This arc is one of my favorite and I can see that it is the most rushed one of the bunch. There were way too many still frame this episode... and honestly this episode lacked impact compared to the manga. Also they are skipping a lot of small dialogue and interaction which makes it less fun to watch, the other small dialogue that are kept goes way too fast and goes past us before we even know what is happening. This episode didn't flow that well either, the transition in flashback was a little awkward and the transition between the contestant was way too fast and didn't let us time to rest, it just went too fast and didn't flow well. Didn't help either when you had a full frame of explanation when you need to pause.... Overall I'm disappointed in the beginning of this arc. 2/5 |
