| First impression the voice acting is fantastic second the animation is top notch for the setting its really similar to Samurai champolo and Love it,third the characters are pretty good, fourth the pace is incredibly good I thought they gonna waste lots of time but they didn't gladly. I can't ask for more except I wish this would be like 25 episodes or more cause boxing needs time to develop. |
| From the first second until the last frame, everything from the art, animation, atmosphere, story, and characters, it was all top-notch 90s feel! It sounds like an excellent 90s throwback without being a mere generic shounen intro + nostalgia bait. |

| I'm getting the vibes of many of my classic favorite anime. The nostalgia trip is intense!!! But that's not all that there's is to tell about this one, this one is incredibly good what a nice first episode, i was drown to it almost immediately. AOTS. |

| I’m potentially getting back on the anime bandwagon and it’s because there’s a show like this in existence. I’m not keen on saying 5/5 because you need build-up and payoff to get the rewards, but this was undoubtedly a beautifully executed episode with a great sense of style that’s running counter to current trends, great pacing, great direction. The boxing theme doesn’t even particularly interest me but this one’s gonna be bloody and brutal and full of intense rivalries. I guess the downsides are that it’s not particularly original and I’m not convinced it’ll step back and show a side to the world beyond “brutal” or the characters beyond “tough guys”, but a well told story is a well told story nevertheless. Definitely on board for the next few just to take in the style. |

| I did not expect that I would pick up a boxing anime, yet here I am. The world of Megalo Box enthralled me. |
| Easily a 5/5 episode for sure. Who wouldn't like a protagonist named JUNK Dog? People might have a problem with his attitude and think he's a braggart but he sure as hell better than indecisive, weak characters like Hiro from Darling in the Fuck. The soundtrack and BGM was also pretty catchy and I enjoyed the ED song, "Kakatte Koi yo (かかってこいよ)" by NakamuraEmi. It's probably one of the better Anime ED songs I've heard in a while. None of that annoying, super sweet Anime girl voices singing at a high pitch. I also don't have a problem with the retro style because it's nostalgic and yet it's refreshing to see in today's vast ocean of generic Anime styles with ridiculous, large moe eyes. I'll be looking forward to every episode from now on. It's been a while since I last Hajime no Ippo, my last boxing Anime and an even longer time since I saw Ashita no Joe so I'm getting my fill with this series. |

| First thing to note is definitely the old-school art style. It looks great. The soundtrack is pretty good so far too. Actually the first thing I thought about was how much I liked the main character's voice, and what do you know, it's Yoshimasa Hosoya! This is gonna be good. I thought our protagonist was going to get his ass beat in the rain, but now he'll get is ass beat in the ring instead LOL. Gotta give him that last line though. "They don't make tombstones for stray dogs." was so cool haha. |

| Pretty nice start of this series I must say, for some reason the quality is a bit too pixelated for my taste yet the art style does remind me quite a lot of Redline and alike. Quite interesting and intense start in general though, so let's see what this series has to offer! |

| Did anybody else watching this on Toonami think it looked distinctly 720p? I mean even on the HD version of the channel. Great setup though, I'm stoked to be watching this now. It feels almost like IGPX with the futuristic sports aspect. I swear this show was born to be on Toonami. |

| If only he had his name registered as a legal citizen and he wouldn't have had to throw away his dignity as a talented boxer for people who don't care for him. Megalonia might change everything and even get his oomph back. I get that he has the right to get mad at someone who just happened to be in the middle of the road late at night because you almost crashed into them but he is ilegally driving in that person's property so it's definitely his fault at that time. After rejecting free insurance, Junkdog suddenly going against the president's bet for world champion was super hype but it ended with as a tease but Yuri came back with his gear ready and made the hype even bigger than earlier! |

| Loving this old school anime art style C: I don't think Junk Dog is gonna beat Yuri, but it'll be cool to see his growth throughout the series until he can finally face him again and win The mechanic ossan can really bet on Junk Dog from now on and win his bets :D |

| This was an awesome start to the series. The characters and setting have me hooked already! I really love the style of this show too; the setting, OST, and animation produce this amazing vibe that really reminds me of early 2000s shows. Can't wait to see where the series goes from here! |
| Holy fuck that was good. It has an old school visual style with modern quality animation, I fucking love it. That intro scene with Junk Dog riding the bike was so fucking good. I haven't watched Ashita no Joe and I don't think I will, but this does looks damn good. That part where Yuri and Junk Dog were about to square up in the rain hooked me, that was some good shit. |

| I thought my video quality was bad when I started watching this but then I figured out that the early 2000's look was intentional. And to be honest, it does look good and fits the series like a glove. |

| Never watched a boxing anime before but I heard this one was good. The animation is def my favorite part so far, feels like a high quality retro anime. I'm guessing that junk dog is gonna get his ass kicked in the next ep tho |
