| I like Amagami but its entirety is filled with cringe. Same with Seiren. Watching them is hella difficult. But the proposing scene from the second season of Amagami that reenacts in front of the entire student body really takes the cake. |

In UBW, there's also "I'm amazed! The archer class is really made up of archers". That comes across as a straight up statement. It doesn't illustrate the whole "wow... as someone from the archer class (or when it comes to the Archer class), you (or the archer class in general) really have the makings of an archer" idea well, which was also part of what she meant as she was complimenting Archer's incredible eyesight. Of course, Rin didn't put it the way I did, but the underlying meaning is still there in Japanese. I guess that's another example of the ambiguity that you see all the time in Japanese. The way she puts it is very simple on purpose, but it still speaks for itself in Japanese imo. |

I also get really cringed with some lines that imply gender roles, such as "You are a woman, you can't show your face in such an ugly way" or "I'm a man, of course it's an insult to call cute to a man" and things like that. |

However, the only line of dialogue that made me cringe on the inside was line from the antagonist of Ghost in the Shell Arise 2: Ghost Whispers. Mokoto asks her why she did it and she responds with, "My ghost whispered it to me." I wanted to punch Takeuchi in his edgy 12 dialogue writing face. |
