I'm glad to see Kadowaki doing better. By the looks of it, he has a broken arm to heal. This just goes to show that striding has its risks.

Kuga is also quite a badass now that I think about it...
Not much competition this episode but more on characterization and background storytelling about Kuga. I still think he is the most mysterious character of the show though.

Showing a bit of the incident with the video getting deleted?

Not enough member, and invited Suwabe-san's character, not knowing he "was" the reason... Classmate told them about the incident, finally. Shimono-san's character was invited so that the club can be saved from the incident. Nobu's character, by looking at his leg, knows that he wasn't forced.

The truth that even OnoKen's character was misunderstood about the leg hurt. It was OnoD's character getting hurt from enemy team's bluff, then a sempai hitting him, but it was Suwabe-san's character took all the blame on himself and left to prevent from the club getting exterminated. Nobu's character's brother (voice sounding the same) knowing the truth, too. OnoD's character calling him back, and he came at the last minute. I'm wondering what Shimono-san's character and Suwabe-san's character talked that made him decide to rejoin the team.

lol @ the end credit animation. The race with Suwabe-san's character starts.

Those third years in the flashback were a bunch of pathetic cunts

Like everyone probably guessed, they ended up needing to replace Ayumu and Kyosuke the mysterious yet experienced badass needed to be brought back, but I was kinda surprised to see why he left....That whole thing really sucked

Thankfully he, Heath and Hozumi worked things out and now the dream team is complete so I can't wait to see them in action next episode....I'm expecting great things from Kyosuke

Also, they weren't kidding when they compared Riku's brother to Takeru lol, those two could pass for being twins looks and personality wise even xD

So that's the truth behind the Incident. "Kyosuke Hero-ism" is surely come back for the team.
"Chotostu Moushin", "Ichiro Junpuu". There's the Teacher with his another Term again.

And Riku's just realized about Fujiwara's complex, I guess

I didn't like that episode. Seriously, everything was so predictable the moment they asked Kyousuke first to stride again. This "Everyone has hopes he's coming, then he is late so they fear they can't do something and in the LAST second he comes" plot was just... meh.

We get it people- the drama was predictable. And it definitely was, but I tend to look at the positive side of things. While the drama itself was predictable, the backstory on the "KGB incident" was welcomed and it was nice learning more about the past of both the Stride club and the few members such as Kyosuke and Heath.

The episode did its job, and that is to get the viewer hyped for the competition next week. I don't think there is any question it will be the best race yet.

4/5. 7/10 for the season so far.

stretching huh?

the drama at the start makes it seem like a murder scene lmao but i still liked it so im not really complaining. i feel sad for kadowaki to get benched like that.

kyousuke is really pretty?? the last scene with him was perfect.

did anyone find it strange that tomoe called kyousuke that he is coming back to japan soon but not his brother? well i guess it would be more dramatic this way but still.

I'm all for drama and suspense but this episode didn't sit well with me. It tried way too hard. Like in the first place even if Kuga took the blame there was no need to let Hozumi go on thinking he was this terrible person that betrayed the club. How do you let your friend be thrown under the bus like that. The only people that needed to think Kuga was at fault was the teachers. Poor Kuga, and then they crawl back to him only when they're desperate. They should of got him back long time ago, disgrace.

Also they should have made the big supposed KGB incident look more serious lol. Like what did he do, push the bully 3rd years over? He didn't even rage.

And the dramatic entry at the end wasn't necessary. Like really? Last minute arrival? Wtf were u doing before? You have a goddamn motorcycle for god's sake.

Still loving this show, but the unnecessary drama was a minus for me. Glad Kuga's back though! It's about time.

Huh? what was all the drama about?
Those third years were so damn selfish and arrogant OMG >< Also relationers really shouldn't be people being so easily influenced... maybe I don't understand the sport well enough but why listen to what the other team is saying? After all the start depends on your own speed ><
Why take the blame for them... and really closing the club for an internal brawl? That's really extreme huh Just expel those damn third years and that's it... And I thought everyone heard what the relationers says oO Apparently not but didn't seemed like there was button to choose who you're talking to

Best about this ep was the stretching at the start ><

What a hugely disappointing episode. That forced drama with that shitty logic.

"These douchebag third years broke Heath's leg. Lets have a second year take the blame and permanently leave the club and not tell anyone the truth because itll split the club up, instead of just kicking out the shitty third years...*one year later* well, the third years are gone, but lets still not let the second year back into the club and lets not tell anyone that he was actually innocent, using this misunderstanding to keep the club still divided."

Damn, the forced drama was shitty as fuck in this episode. Dropping it now.

I'm starting to like Kohinata's character. I like how dedicated he is to Stride and how he works hard to protect it. And his friendship with Ayumu is so beautiful.

Man, these third years are a bunch of morons. Blame yourself for falling for that obvious bluff. I'm glad that they aren't around anymore.

The backstory of the KGB incident (lol, that name) was kind of interesting, even if the end result of getting Kuga back on the team was predictable. I didn't really like that dramatic entrance from Kuga at the end, because I'm sure we all knew that he would show up, which took away the suspense of that scene. Either way, those complaints aside, I'm looking forward to seeing Kuga in this race to see what he's capable of.

Average episode, I guess. Glad Sephiroth is finally on board, though.

The most amusing thing for me this week is that one of Stride's reviews on the front page dropped to a 1 purely because of this episode & its "forced" drama, lolll.

For a show that's main theme seems to be connecting feelings, I would've thought heavy drama would be expected, really. But then it didn't seem that "forced" to me, everyone involved had a more-or-less realistic approach to the situation. (Even the horrible third years. ESPECIALLY them, I think.)

I wouldn't have expected a real falling out between Heath and Kuga, but I mean I can definitely see how that could happen, especially if they weren't particularly close before.

Edit: Forgot to mention the "KGB" incident, lol. I really can't take that seriously.. :c

Yes, dramatically show up the moment before the race begins without practicing once with the new team or the relationer having any idea what your stats are to be able to time the run. It took them a month to get their first team in running order. Probably won't have any consequences either, drama in all the wrong places. Worst episode by far :|

Me too. I don't get why people are complaining about "forced drama", I didn't feel it like that honestly.

And it was a pretty good episode for characterization and developing the background of the story.

I still can't get over the fact that guys in this show have 2 meter long hair :| and in high school to boot but it's anime so umm... Also, I still don't understand how relationers have to sit beside each other during a match. Why can't they just have their own private spaces to relay or is it part of the game to have them so close to each other.
KGB? haha. Sorry but I can't think of anything else but Russia or the Soviet Union. Kyosuke incident doesn't even come close. Also, Kyosuke shows up like minutes before the tournament so umm what? But then again this is anime...
