Hey guys! I'm a 23 y/o Taoist physics & astrophysics student from NY. Currently unemployed to focus on my school and health and taking a break from my graphic design work. Hope to be a physicist and teacher in the future.
I first discovered anime when I was just shy of turning four, with a fortuitous discovery of a fansubbed VHS of DBZ in a flea market in late 1996. The art looked cool so I asked my dad for it. He saw speed racer in the bin and he'd watched it before so he bought me both tapes and I've been hooked for life! Since I got into it so young, anime/manga is a huge part of who I am and its hard to think of who I'd be without it! I love martial arts and fighting especially, with Dragonball being a huge part of my life from childhood and my mother being a blackbelt, martial arts and eastern culture has always been a big part of who I am.
I also used to play soccer and other sports quite extensively, in addition to martial arts, and especially hiking and rock climbing, but due to poor health, those days have long passed so I'm in the process of figuring what else to do with my time now, which means this bio is a lot less interesting since I don't really do much other than anime/manga/health/school these days. I also read a lot of Marvel comics. I don't read many books these days, most all my non-comic reading is nonfiction academia, because I'm a hardcore nerd in addition to a geek.
I've never really talked to anyone on here and most discussion threads I see don't seem to have many conversations in them, but feel free to say hello if you want!
