Im onboard, granted the LOTGH anime was made the masterpiece it is by the staff making it as alot of things are anime only but the core story was still the same and that core story is, as said, a masterpiece. | I have been dreaming of a proper Arslan Senki adaption ever since I saw the 90s OVA, but this is slightly disappointing. I wish they would adapt Yoshiki Tanaka's version, that would have been a way smarter move. |

| Original story by LotGH creator!! So base story is already excellent, and Hiromu-sensei will allow it to appeal to more people. Looks like a high fantasy, and a war story to boot! CM looks decent, can't wait for an animated version. I am soooo ready. Historical, political fantasy. <3 HYPEHYPEHYPE. Edit: Just read up to chapter 16 and first OVA. Hiromu-sensei's version is pretty good with plenty of great action. However, it's very re-interpreted. Especially character personalities and (tone of) dialogue. Characters are less witty and more humorous. Personalities are quite different, character design is also not as beautiful. (Faragis... OTL) The dialogue and events kind of differ, but overall story is kept. The OVA depiction of the characters had much more charm, beauty and wit though, kind of a shame. I'm still looking forward to it. We really need more good historical fantasies with politics and fighting. The OVAs made the series feel like LotGH and Rose of Versailles, but Hiromu-sensei's version is more "modernized" and definitely has her own touch. But it's still quite enjoyable. As long as the staff is decent I can't see how this can go wrong. :D |

| That's great news! Ever since I watched the 6-part OVA I've regretted the fact that it's so short and rushed with a whole lot of loose ends. And although I'll miss the old style art, Arakawa's should be just as enjoyable to see animated (once again). |

| Watch it totally end up being A-1 Pictures somehow, the whole having the commercial thing after Seven Deadly Sins points in this direction a bit too, but of course is far from a guarantee. People always wish for a Bones or Madhouse or whatever for these kinds of shows and it pretty much always ends up being an A-1 pictures or some smaller studio. Mappa of course would be great for this show, but I'm really not getting my hopes up too much for that. Honestly at this point I'm really just in the let it be anyone but A-1 camp for pretty much any title like this at this point. They really seem to think they're like an all around studio or even an artistic one of late, but realistically the only thing they kind of remain good at is appealing to midnight otaku and having quick access to SME talents and industry friends. |

Yeah, but that is mostly because no one outside of madhousemappa would do Pluto and with Arslan there is options. Hypothethically speaking I would be ok with Mappa doing both of these titles. |
