| This episode felt so great (or Free!) Good thing they didn't drag the race out like any other sports anime (Tsubasa, Slam Dunk, Baseball) Festivals are always animated in a beautiful way I like the puns Rei made with "No Squidding" and "Squid and Chips", but the other three didn't seem to care which made it even funnier The resolve or Haruka swimming together with their team/friends as a reason was nice and Rin entering the relay for the same intention |
| Rei was very hilarious. When he put the mask on, I couldn't stop laughing. And IIRC this is the first time Haru raised his voice. Oh, did they say Hachiman-sama? |

| Nagisa outfit was a little girly, i know is on purpose, i liked Rei kimono (it was lighter/neutral). I'm relieved to know that Haru actually likes to swim with is friends, i thought he only liked Rin. |

| 4/5 Episode after all a bit too slow, the plot is after the exchange of blows between the protagonists ude was slow to give way to grow the two, but they could have put more humor into the narrative that, thanks to Rei still can not make it look like the whole thing a kind of funeral. Plot and narrative promoted by a whisker! Animations and sets quality! Today, even the boys han their source of fanservice! LOL Yukata Rin and companion, kawaii! TBH ^ _ ^ Rei MC episode! |

Yukatas are always nice eh :D Sneaky spy Rei huh ... when he put on the mask that was hilarious XD It was like watching a romcom or something, making sure Rin and Haru didn't meet ... of course the latter would know something was up though :P Lots of "feels" ... Rin going back to their elementary school and remembering them swimming together, then Haru saying how he felt after the race. Good thing he likes swimming with them though! He's changing quite a bit, isn't he? :P Looks like we'll get to see a bit more of their past next episode. Should be interesting! |

| Man, Rin is such a tsundere... he acts hostile towards Haru and the rest yet he misses the times when they all used to swim together like... just be honest with your feelings, man. It's not like you will look less manly by doing it I mean, this is "Free!" after all. And also, I must say that them winning the relay race without any prior training sure was an ass pull but well, they needed to classify to the regionals somehow... still, the outcome was a pretty unrealistic. All in all, it was a decent episode although Rei acting like a ninja/detective really made me laugh a couple of times. And well, Gou also looked gorgeous in her yukata. Too bad Ama-sensei didn't come to the festival tho. |

| The "detective work" in this episode was quite hilarious. After being alone with Makoto, Haruka now has his confidence back, and so would I, if I could be alone with Makoto. :) |

| Detective Rei was hilarious. I love how Makoto takes a good care of the animals. He's such a lovely person. The girls looked cute in their yukatas. |
