Damn, things just got so much more complicated and intertwined! Definitely loving this!

Yikes, that manipulative woman though. Dat was manipulation at its very best right there.

And what a bloody cliffhanger!

The episode started sad af, and then it turned artsy in the middle, and by the end it was downright creepy. That chick owned Zen hard.

Pretty cool direction on this episode, what a weird character the prostitute, i hope there's no supernatural element to her in the end.

The series' genres already fall on my favorite list, and now also appears a hot intelligent woman to top it off? Ugh, I just can't...
Is it weird if I find that scary woman so attractive? :/

The eerie BGM reminds me a lot of Tokyo Ghoul, props to the music director, Yutaka Yamada.

In what way do you mean by 'worried'? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I just realized that all of my favorite characters, beside being stunningly beautiful, also happen to be exceptionally skilled murder machines. \('-')/

The second episode of babylon was more understandable than the first episode but there are still some things that do not make sense to me. For now, I think that this anime is okay.. we will see :)

I am watching the 2nd episode of Babylon, and I am watching the interrogation scene, although I might get the answer, either later on or in another episode, WTF what kind of drug is she on.

I can suspect that this lady and I am using the term loosely, but as I am watching, her eyes and they seem to be staring into nowhere, or it could be that she is a psychopath.

What are you thought about thsi lady?

The second episode is even better than the first. That Hiramitsu Emiko woman played them. Now they know about him, well it seems like Seizaki's boss is not to be trusted either. Does he still have any allies left? I love these types of series, whether it's Anime or non-Anime, about crime, politics, blackmail, bribes, etc.

Emiko took control over that interrogation quickly. She didn't lose her cool but Seizaki definitely did.

I'm excited for the episodes to come. Perhaps when I catch up, I'll also pick up the manga.

An interrogation that I would love to partake in as much as I would like to avoid it.

Although she is not the only part of the puzzle that is off.

The woman was demented. Also mc was so dense, how could he not realize she was playing with him? Now she got his info.

this lady is terrifying
she's the Japanese Joker and Seizaki is Batman
The wide anime smile is super creepy, she's like a Japanese urban legend lady
I could see she pulling him into a logical trap and I was "oh no"

when it suddenly went into 1980s OVA mode with VHS effects when discussing prostitution, that was a great meta choice considering the medium

The interview was so unnerving. The way it was edited really set me on edge. That was the intention, so I'm impressed. The whole time I felt completely disgusted and freaked out.

The split frames were used really well. The shot where the prosecutor flinches when the woman leans closer even though she's across the table was really effective. Also, the shot where the woman's head is stacked on top of the prosecutor's body, visually beheading him backwards - really alarming, pretty cool.

Every time the woman laughed or deliberated an answer just to say some meaningless drivel really pissed me off. Again, definitely intentional, so I give this show major props.

I freaking loved the interrogation scene. Many people say that animation in anime just exists as "pretty colors" but that scene was a prime example of the contrary.
The subtle details: the way the woman was constantly moving her head around, showcased how much she was lying. I loved that one movement where the MC's eye twitches; indicating he's losing his temper.
That ending...holy shit.
My only gripe with this anime is that I don't like how all the female characters presented so far are basically just sex tools.

I think the MC was aware she was going to use the info she gained from him for something dangerous, but I think we should keep in the mind that the MC at the moment is really emotional, angry, and desperate, to avenge his friend.

That woman was genuinely terrifying. The direction during the interrogation was fantastic.

Great episode on the whole, they nailed the atmosphere. Very intrigued and invested right now. That ending though, holy shit! Was Seizaki's superior in on the whole thing?

I don't like how there is a lot of talk about sex, how sex and politics go hand in hand, and i dont think i like any characters and in general story-centered animes are not my favorite ones.

But damn, that ending, yoooo, i'm sold for sure. The production team is working extra hard, the direction, the music, the tension. Holy shit...

The MC is freaking stupid. It is obvious to any one with a working mind that the woman is manipulative right from the beginning and the MC doesn't even realize that. And he is supposed to be a "professional", rofl. So annoying.

Dropping the anime. Can't stand oblivious MCs.

I loved the woman, Emiko.. :D ..she asks some very real thought-provoking questions, and her words about love at first sight stuff, really won me over, as unorthodox or bizarre her words may be, there's some sort of, one of the many truths in them.. overall, I loved her responses.. hope she stays till the very end lol

Loved this episode, a big leap from episode 1, in terms of pace, dialogues, atmosphere, direction, editing (interrogation scene), the interrogation scene itself, the ending..

Also love the OP :)

What a strange strange woman, seriously. At first, she looked very superficial and dense, but quickly that changed, as she turned out to be very clever and clearly intelligent. The ending was unexpected and scary.

That interrogation between Seizaki and the woman was really intense! I like it. The first episode didn't really feel like a first episode; there wasn't a clear introduction to the issue at hand.

Seizaki is already backed into a corner on the second episode. I wonder what awaits him.

Oh my gah! This got me realllly hooked now. I didn’t watch the trailer of this series and that Hiramatsu woman looks like a bad news. She knows mind games and Zen provided her some information that may harm his family 😱😱😱 I'm so scared for Zen and his colleagues. Please no more deaths or else I couldn't take it. 😵😵😵😵

Cliffhanger. But does this mean that politician is on Zen's superior side?

How silly letting the woman escaped! I honestly suggest Zen gonna be dead there, but no. He even get another nice conflicted scenes in next episodes. Very well written story. But, with the woman shiity mind-fucking conversations roll on, just lowerred my mentality for the entire series, for sure.

Honestly, I'm not sure if Emiko did a fantastic job at outsmarting Seizaki in his own field or if he simply sucks at interrogating people... because seriously, he thought he would get a confession but instead, he ended up being the play toy of one quite sensual lady.

Anyways, I heard many people praising this episode for the interrogation sequence and I gotta say they weren't exaggerating. It indeed was perfectly directed and particularly, I simply loved how Emiko's sexuality was portrayed to make it looked as if it was Seizaki the one "fantasising" about what she did at the inn with those men.

That cliffhanger tho... well, it wouldn't be a political thriller without a prosecutor having corrupt superiors but I still think the chief invited candidate Nomaru as a way to "help" Seizaki. Now it's all up to him to take advantage of this outcome.

As interesting as this episode was there is definitely something off with the interrogation scenes. The camera angles, the character designs, the style of art, to me, looked kind out of place.

At least this show does a good job at keeping tension, and the dialogue isn't that bad.

In case Seizaki fall into the hole and still try to manage how to escape. He is getting more deeper in this case with less partner. His colleague died from suicide is weird and it is so sudden. This plot might going hard to digest.

Am I supposed to accept that lady simply walked out the prosecutor's office like she wasn't a key witness? And why was that dude Okuba or something dozed off?

Another thing is her BS reasoning comparing being for and against different aspects if they were similar: if wanting kids and not wanting kids is okay, why does wanting war and not wanting war not okay? That's just moronic.

It manages to be more boring than intriguing. The characters are really dumb. It's amazing how easily manipulated people of that caliber are.
