| What an incredibly interesting episode! I didn't expect to get the Moriarty brothers backstory so soon but there are no complaints here! The after credit scene shocked me... those three are so dangerous together, but also amazing as a team. This is definitely gonna be one of the top anime of the season! A little fact for you guys; the Ragged School which featured in this anime was almost shut down due to corona virus but coincidentally, it was saved just today! I thought that was really cool! Can you imagine losing all that history?! |

| OMG that ending! Guess will wait with eagles eyes for next weeks episode! I like the keen sense of old school Britain from the age Arthur Conan Doyle existed and its representation of class. To be honest, something which still even now exists but is not something so obvious and out in the open. I'm not a scholar on the matter but you see similar representation in anime when they discuss blood lines and inheritance of xyz as being something born with them as a person. Still that ending though. Just saying, but I doubt it was an accident!! |

| Interesting. So it seems Albert will kill off his family in fire and bringing two new brothers to his house. I only wonder if that wasn't William's goal from the start, seeing exploitable noble and stepping up the rank. Wouldn't be completely out of question (also, he had to know that those guys was asking for digin back way going to the safe). But they really managed to make Moriarty very charismatic character, to the point even the viewer is entraced by his scheming plans (seeing him always reminds me of Johan from Monster, in fact, his presence has very similiar atmosphere to him). The next we'll get the conclusion for the backstory and I wonder if Sherlock and Watson shows for a bit after that, just to lure even more viewer. He was probably behind more than few cases they investigated. |

| This is probably going to be one of those very well written mystery shows because after seeing the 2nd episode, which was on a whole different level than the first, I can safely say that I am really invested, especially in the characters. Overthrowing nobles that act like assholes? Sign me up. |
| Turning villains into good guys isn't easy, but they're doing it so well. They're not even contradicting the original Moriarty. I'm really loving the way the brothers are written. They want equality, but their method is a bit messed up. Moriarty was the scariest villain in the original novels, and it's surprising how the creepiness of the original isn't affected at all by this version. Rather, it makes it even better. I actually thought the brothers were related by blood. Haha. Apparently that was just the artstyle. |
| This is pretty much functioned as the first episode of the series. It showed the origin stories of the main characters and was all-around better than the first episode. I am getting some edgy vibes from it, but hopefully it doesn’t get too unbearable. This anime should end up being solid. |

| I have seen the Robert Downey Jr. movies of Sherlock Holmes and they impressed me to no end. I remember Moriarty being the antagonist, but I never really knew whether he was a chaotic kind of antagonist or more of a "hero in my own eyes" kinda antagonist. However, this spin on Moriarty is really x3 good! The OP is also a banger and if I ain't mistaken, then the dude with the rifle was Holmes as Moriarty is always the enemy of Holmes. The ending was pretty weird, but I forgot if it was the same as episode one. The thing that bothers me is whether the place that burned at the end was the orphanage or not? Considering the officers didn't recognize them, I believe it was the orphanage. As to what happened to the people inside the orphanage, I got no clue. However, the burning down of the orphanage is pretty much a guaranteed support point for Albert to take in not 1, but 2 orphans namely, William and his little brother. Edit: Apologies, but at the end, the building that burned was the mansion. This means that the 3 of them burned it after the incident with the butler. |

(And let me remind you that the Liberal Party was established in 1859, whereas the flashback takes place in 1866. Trade unions were proliferating even before then.) A brilliant man who weaseled his way into a noble's house and now is a university professor (according to the synopsis) is trying to reform the society and make Britain a fairer place... by assisting in gruesome murders of criminals. Give me a break. Not only is this a dumb hole in logic, it's also disappointing for the audience. Why are you taking FICTION so seriously it does not have to be realistic. |

| So, blond James is a random orphan who killed the Moriarty family in the fire and took the place of the original James Moriarty. I don't know if this was really necessary, although it is an interesting idea. As for the protagonist's motivation to change the country... I hope he is not like Kira and that Holmes is not his L. |

| I can't be the only one who laughed at that scene where he's teaching the other orphan kids what to do when they "Meet a bad noble". It's like Babies first Marxist Conference. I was half expecting one of them to throw a "Eat the rich!" in there somewhere just to tie it all together lol. Other than that, I'm still a little on the fence about this anime. I wanna keep watching but like I don't think there's a lot keeping me here now. I guess I'll just keep watching and waiting to see if something far more interesting happens, now that we've gotten the backstories out of the way. |

| Not a bad episode but a bit squirrely in its flow. The folks complaining about historical and political accuracy are funny considering how many history based anime have huge discrepancies. No worries, this anime never claimed to be accurate on any level. It is a side view of a fictional book. Now on to a few things that popped out at me: 1. Death Flag on the sickly blonde kid....predict that his death will fuel MC motivation 2. The ED is pretty nifty.... disco is fine.... it's just lively music 3. I like the detailed art (don't care if it is factually accurate) such as the interior door of the carriage...not just a blank panel, it had details 4. So far not a voice actor that makes the hair stand up on my neck .... thinking of you magic girls and talking flowers in other anime....LOL 5. Good MC in that he is not weak and whining nor is he over powering. He actually has no strength in his world except his wits. Beats the heck out of my hated MC in Rent-A-Girlfriend (crosses self and spits on the ground). |

| I was positively surprised. I am always up for a class war. ...Well, okay, bashing the privilege of nobility is kind of obvious as far as social philosophy goes, and not all that uncommon in fiction. I'll still take it though. |

| I am really feeling this show. Although I felt gut punched with the first epi, I didn't comment, but I couldn't help but say something here. The back story is intriguing and I thirst for what comes next. I loved the focus on the social classes and Moriarity's ultimate goal. This is going to be one helluva ride. |

| I understand the motivation of the moriarty brothers, and it's interesting to see a mc who isn’t necessarily a goody two shoes and is willing to serve justice at any cost. Too bad people are glossing over this because of the "bishounen" character designs. (Pretty sure Light also was a conventional bishounen pretty boy). People still loved it. Never heard such complaints about DN. |

| Well a backstory of Albert and how he met William.. Seems like he was a smart child with a lot of knowlegde since birth. He's also the one who's behind the 40-yard thingy. So, William is an adopted child and the other blonde guy later too. Interesting.. |

| I liked how unabashed the show is with "yes this kid is teaching the adults a bunch of stuff they don't know for some reason *wink* inequality!*wink* rich people being the worst *squint* what is that? Oh yes, Inequality!!!" and then the scene of him telling the other kids basically "there are some rich people who are good so they can be useful for us but those that are bad, What do they get? MURDER" The kids get happy. And Albert having this whole awakening that almost looks like he has a thing for good bad-guy, just pure campiness is going on with this show and I hope the rest of the episodes is able to keep up or even make things better. Louis with the knife was cute, like kid you probably need some meals before you go stabbing people who might be a threat to your brother. Did they killed the whole family? Lol Albert got totally hook on William. Liked the opening. |

| The first episode made this seem to be an episodic vegence show with a demon detective. Hell Girl comes to mind. I'm loving this crazy twist! All three of them are badass and so interesting! I think back to the french revolution! |
