| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow. What a great day. Getting the second episode preaired as well. (But on the other had the wait for the third episode will be sooo long sadly....) Everything is just perfect. I am already really impressed after those two episodes. The characters are just tooo cute. Love it. Tia x Rose will be one of the best Yuri ships. Rose knows who she has to save in the critical situations. Sooo ducks can be really really hard to catch, that's what we learn. Anyway after the frist two episode I reallllly want to see the third as well soon. |

| The first episode intrigued me, but maybe this anime is not for me after all. I wouldn't say the second episode is bad but I just expected more magic from a magical idol show. It took them quite a long time to realise that they could just use magic to capture the goose. The Tia x Rose shipping is quite wonderful but is likely only a yuribait at this point. |

| Nice the Idol thing is finally here, I can't wait to see them singing. Rosetta's development on this episode was really interesting, especially her friendship with Tiara. Also i'm interested in the points system, they were struggling so hard to get points but they're losing more and more. |

The stage itself is entirely run on magic as well (the lighting, effects, and such) and Yue and the others were using magic while performing, think of Aikatsu or Pripara, but rooted more in logic. |

| Tiara, Rosetta and the rest of the Lapis team having to face the worst at the start, but being optimistic students (well, only Tiara), always have the culture to start on a good note. WHAAAA lols, stalking for Rosetta's "interests"? Having to juggle part-time jobs whilst being a leader and setting the right example, it sure gives her some character developement of a "borne leader" but weighing everything on her shoulders. Everyone contributing relieves her burden, and that's good. HAH the duck-catching moment, mere running wouldn't do, so magic is a good alternative. AHHH the musical Idol segment, finally shows up. The magic really is encapsulating. The Yuri ship is still sailing strong between Tia and Rosetta, but more to come. |

| I loved the small character building in this episode. While we met the character's last episode, we got to see more of their personality in this episode, which I thought was real nice. |
| It's ok, became more enjoyable towards the end( even tho the performance dind't look good) but during the episode I was thinking how much better it would be to watch Gochuumon S3. I still won't write this off yet. |

| I liked the first episode, it was an innocent (maybe a bit too much so) nice show to watch and I even liked the song, but for some reason they had to make it a generic idol show this episode. Do Japanese anime creators realize that you can do songs inside a show without making it about idols? Not just the idol animation and performance, but the whole idol setting felt super out of place for the world they introduced. I think there could have been ways well better suited to the world they created to make it idol(ish) without shoehorning in the exact thing. Why does everything have to be idols in the exactly identical way? If you wanted music in this they could have made the magic use music in a singing chants way (not idol dance performance shoehorned in way), there are even old anime examples that do this pretty well. For me this is an unfortunate drop. The character were pleasant, if a bit dumb and generic, and the world at least interesting (I especially liked the whistling to use magic touch) with a hint of politics and a larger world in the background, but this felt so out of place and shoehorned in that it overpowered the slight merit I gave this show. |

| I'm liking it so far, and I'm gonna keep on watching but... man, that whole duck chase was kinda pointless. I wonder why we had to go through that just to get to the actually meaningful part: the idol show, which sadly only lasted a couple minutes. Anyway, looking forward to what the girls decide to do here on out! |

I wonder why we had to go through that just to get to the actually meaningful part: the idol show, which sadly only lasted a couple minutes. it's not like we had a ton of interactions between the 5 girls, introduced some more, and had them develop Rosetta in the duck scene (not letting the "back to past bad/lonely Rosetta" for example... or the Tia/Rose name calling from before), showing the 4 girls worried and stalking while having fun eating, themagic book ... oh, and ofc that little yuri scene with Tiara putting her face on Rosetta's chest lols i agree it could have been something other than a duck but still anyway, unlike some people here, i actually liked the idol dance, and it's not like we didn't know this anime is about "magical idols" from reading the synopsis, that's literally the reason i picked this, so "omg i drop this cause idol scene is forced" actually tilted me haha |

| As their rank on Lapis kept losing the point, Tia needed to help their group to prevent the expelled from the academy. But, its not an easy target to got more point, when they were only ended by losing another point. Atleast i knew some development over their characterization. Yep, Alfred's chasing incident made their relations to be quite stronger and opening up a bit with their personality. Its amusing, and somehow quite sweet. At the end, the orchestra's dance closed the episode with a nice performance. Beautiful scenery, and so delicious.... |

| This episode was better than the last. I’m really starting to enjoy it. The best part was when supernova perform アオノショウドウ near the end. The choreography was great and the moves were almost as sexy as the the vocals by Sakuragi-san. |
| now, I have a bit more info on their situation. They need to get some points to avoid expulsion. a little more bonding time for Rose and Tia. And also that's a nice dance at the end, so an "orchestra" in this anime means a dance performance. :) |

| The Slice of Life Aspect in this show is rather good. I am enjoying it a lot. Alfred is the MVP though lol. Man these mishaps are cute, adorable, and sometimes sexy haha. I'm actually digging our main 5 Heroines but Ashley is #1 for me atm. I thought the Animation for the Orchestra was not that bad. I've seen way worse animation/CGI when it came to scenes like that. Give me more waifus next episode please lol |

| What a dull episode. I don't think you can have a duck chase out of nowhere and still be a good show. We have a whole magical world to explore, and we spent half the episode on a duck. Really kills any optimism that this will manage to be something new and interesting with the strange mix of premises. First episode I was enjoying despite reservations, but the childishness right next to the out of setting sexy idol outfits is weird. Think I'll give this one more episode into a likely drop. |

| Although Tiara is facing a drop out crisis as soon as she enters the school, she is still very motivated, but it seems that she deducted the most points. (≧▽≦) Well, now you are all about to quit school, but you are still in the mood for following Rosetta. (┳◇┳) During this period, Lavie couldn't eat her hamburger and was asked to help find Rosetta. (´∀`) Later, it was learned that Rosetta was working for a pet shop and accidentally lost the duck. So does this episode want to tell us that it is better to work in a team than to fight alone? Then three people wanted to catch the duck together, but they are pushed around by the duck, and finally Lynette's magic made it. それは大変ですね～ Then Tiara and Rosetta went to the square, where there is a magic concert performed by a group of black class. The one who standed in the centre position is Yue. And we know from Rosetta that Yue is the princess of Ryuuto. It seems that she has powerful backing. No wonder she wasn't friendly to Tiara the last episode. The art of Supernova dancing scene is pretty good. It seems to use 3D, and the song is also good. The most important thing is that the clothes and armpit-waist-leg make me feel comfortable. ಠﭛಠ |

So the reason in ep 1 where Tiara and her Onee-chan argued in that flashback is because Onee-chan doesn't want Tiara to find out about the whole Idol thing that involves Onee-chan (probably something happened) Which also the reason why that other Senpai was shocked and mad at Tiara's hair accessory (which is probably what Onee-chan wore when she was attending this academy) And LOL, I wonder if all the Idol groups' center are all Princesses? Also looks like the whole city is powered by the "mana" from people's "emotions" given out by attending concerts... ___ ___ ___ Also a note, pretty much every single Idol anime uses 3D, it's easier to do dancing in 3D and most times smoother than doing 2D. Mainly because you just need to do the character "skeleton" once, then either animate it by PC program or you can do the RL "motion capture" where real-life people moves then capture that and put it onto the 3D anime character's skeleton so it feels more RL natural. |

| Went into this blind and hoped for the best, it was kinda cardboard cutout feels but have promise for something good with the magic setting and character design, but ..then idol song/show flag out of nowhere? ....actual facepalm! wth..in somewhat disgust ..this show is clearly wanting me to drop it. |
| I bet this is gonna be a slow and laidback anime. So the good stuff will probably be later half in the series. A rather dull episode but at least they showed the performance. Its kinda weird for me for an idol show in a non modern setting. Like the performance feels foreign and out of place in a medieval magic fantasy settings. |

| I believe this may be one of the most underwhelming and hamfisted idol reveals I've ever seen. Like, I knew it was going to be about idols going in, and there are plenty of indications scattered around the first episode that witches are actually idols... but they really went out of their way selling the academy as a school for combat-magic and the entire idol premise just completely undermines it. |
| Stalking Rosetta, chasing Alfred J. Kwak and watching an idol performance. That was fun. :) This show is a little better than I expected. I like the chemistry between the main group. |

| Given the apparent propensity to just take points away from students for literally anything whatsoever, it's amazing anyone is actually able to graduate from this school. Also, given that individuals can have points deducted for not being perfect at every bit of magic in existence, the joint-responsibility system of the groups is total BS, as you could be one of five and do your part perfectly, but be screwed over entirely because one of your groupmates messes up. And Tiara has known these lot for like, 2 days, so why is she already so attached to them as to refuse to leave and find an actually competent group? On top of that, we have the problem that we don't even know where our main group stand on points in concrete terms, so all the deductions honestly feel kind of meaningless: yeah, we know they're low on points, but we don't know what constitutes low to know how much to worry about the deductions they're receiving (they obviously can't be that low, otherwise they'd be expelled already with how many points were deducted in the first half of the episode. Beyond that, we have idols, magic and a school class system here, but somehow we have time to waste on chasing down a duck for half an episode? What does this show actually want to be? |
