I think it's very possible for people to open up about themselves and discover other facets of their sexuality through media, absolutely. And that's a good thing. | I'm straight. I've read or watched quite a bit of material that includes gay/lesbian/gender-bending characters, some of which I found highly enjoyable. I've also got quite a few LGBTQ friends. None of that has changed me from being straight. If being exposed to gay material "makes you gay", I'd say it's far more likely that you were gay in the first place and that material just helped you work that out. |

| I will answer this question assuming I can say yaoi and yuri are acceptable, because they are, LGBT, too. I can stand yaoi—I mean, I have watched some, but I do not actively look for yaoi anime to watch. It doesn't have effects to me, in real life, at least. Yuri, on the other hand, is heaven's blessing. I really love this genre of romance, and found myself liking lesbians with girls when I see them as a couple. Well, it certainly doesn't affect my life in a negative way, anyway. |
