| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm, this felt more or less like a buildup episode. I'm actually okay with the pacing of this as it allows the show to flesh out its characters. It continues to establish the importance of Hakone Ekiden. There's also some comedic moments that I found amusing like with the Jou siblings. I noticed there's still more man service so that's going to be a recurring gag in this anime most likely. Still very invested in Haiji's character development as he feels like a very real person. The hot steam scene was actually pretty funny lol |

| Oh, wow, he already investigated everyone's ability while getting enough members. Since everyone doesn't want to run, the one who wants to participate starts to attack them one by one (pr rather, threaten). First up is the otaku guy. Wow, that senpai who stayed long tried out running. There are few who got convinced. Bath broken, so they have to go to the sentou that has very hot temperature. So it was senpai guy's doing. The both of them don't want to lose, so they all got overheat. He brought the paper boxes, forcing otaku guy to decide soon... |

| Kiyose just does pretty much whatever he wants. I think the episode was pretty funny with how Kiyose made them agree, and the hot steam scene was funny. We got a glimpse of Kakeru backstory. Interesting. The pacing of the show is fairly slow, and I personally really like that, I love watching the characters interact with each other and the pacing let them do that, their interactions are pretty amusing. I hope we can get to some running action soon. |

| Decent episode. The pacing was nice and the characters are good with some solid chemistry, but if I have an issue, the way the briberies occured, was too cheesy. |
| Haji is good at getting under peoples skin and tricking them to agree to run. It was pretty amusing to watch. The pacing is slow, but we have two cours and the cast is large, so I think it's for the best to develop the characters properly. |

| I guess if you got a room with a nice rent and getting real good food, it doesn't get easy to actually decline running with Haiji. I was a bit bothered by Haiji trying to force people into it, ye it was their mistake for not actually looking at where they moved in but still. Maybe the show will actually address this at some point, would be real nice. |
| Nice episode. I'm surpised Haiji was already able to convince a few people to join, I thought it would take a bit longer, but we still have a ways to go before everyone starts running together probably. I also really like the chemistry between characters so far and the comedic moments are pretty funny. |

| I just realised the otaku is played by Irino Miyu. Really happy that he's back!! I love his voice. The characters are interesting, and we subtly got their backstories. I feel bad for the black guy, but I couldn't stop laughing. He is too nice!! I wonder what is wrong with Kageyama (I will call him that until I remember his name). He looks traumatized. A scolding given to someone couldn't have been enough to do that. I really want to know more about him. |

| This anime is pretty enjoyable so far. The animations, characters and comedy are on point. I liked the scene where they eat dinner (I guess) --> the interactions are well placed and felt real. |
| This is fantastic, great episode. It was both super fun and hilarious to watch Haiji just casually blackmail everyone with that smug look on his face. XD Everyone is terrified of him and I can totally understand that, boy is that man scary. XD Kakeru seems to be the only one with the power to put up a fight. xD Soundtrack is fantastic, Yuki Hayashi showing his skills again. The ED is the best I've heard this season. |

| Haiji was really cunning, and manipulative in this episode, I loved it. lol I mean, normally I would dislike him for pushing his dreams on others, but I can see why he's desperate, with this being his last chance, and stuff. And though they were got by surprise, it's not like they are really against it, at least the majority of them isn't. Now I just want to know more about why Kurahara is so against running now, what happened on his past; and how Haiji got that scar. |

| I'm not sure what to say to Kakeru, he seems like a scum to me in targeting the weakness of the other dorm mates just to get want he wants...maybe there's an important good reason for all of this... 3/5. |

While I enjoyed the first two episodes this Anime is pretty much fujoshi-bait/fanservice. They showed us basically naked cute guys 6 (?) times in two episodes, always conveniently in a bath setting and the character designs of the two main characters are: a carbon copy of Kageyama and someone who is probably Oikawa (?) inspired. So this might also be a serious sports anime but let's not kid ourselves why someone would think this is "gay". What I am surprised about is that some people negatively called out Haiji for his manipulation. It's clearly played for laughs and none of what he does seems meanspirited or out of line. |

| Really liking this anime so far. Haiji trying to bribe and blackmail everyone to run with him was pretty funny. Seems Kakeru has a good reason for not wanting to run with others. Somehow I'm kinda salty that only one episode airs a week as I'm curious to see how it progresses. |

| This is my second anime that I'm very invested in after the Slime anime. Haiji is one cool character and a bit manipulative, I kinda like him and the rest of the gang. I see in the preview they are going to start training. I'm very sure this will prove to be better than last season's free! All the characters are interesting and the plot is developing great, the plot also seems to have substance. I see it going down as one of the best anime of the season. |

| I thought about the joke of Masa being fast because of his skin color but it took me off guard that they actually said it xD That aside, I like his character, he seems to be too nice of a guy. Also, his reactions are pretty funny. Good episode, very funny and it helped to know the cast better. Some of the interactions between them were nice to see as well. And also it seems the next episode, the training will begin... yeah, surely the next ep. will be as funny as this one was. And as an aside note, I really wonder, will Haiji really be able to run for a long period of time despite the injury he has? I mean, his knee has some scars from stitches so I assume his injury was really serious. I'm kind of curious about that, to be honest. P.S.: The ED song is great, btw. |
| I really like That although it is a sports anime It focuses a lot in the characters, like, 2 episodes has passed and there's still no running. The characters are really likeable and interesting too. I'm really liking this series |
| This is how large cast shows should be, it's only been two episodes and every character is unique and not hard to tell apart at all, not many shows pull that off. I'm already seeing this as being the best written show of the season and can't wait for more. |

| So far, I like this show quite a bit. My only worry is that it'll devolve into the typical try-hard sports anime formula. Fingers crossed that won't happen. Honestly, I'd like the show even more if they cut out the running. |
