| I've been wondering about this for a while. I mean they are also normal humans so it's natural for them to get sexually aroused by all those "boob physics" scenes. Or is it that they do not get aroused by those scenes because it's their daily work? Maybe they could also be just tired of animating all those scenes and don't care about them anymore? Furthermore, what if the animator is a female? Isn't it weird for her to animate all those "boob physics" scenes, if we assume her to be a straight woman? What do you guys think? |

| I wonder. It's not the anime industry, but I was reading up a lot about porn once and those who worked in the industry. Someone asked how the camera people, folks who work with lights and such deal with arousal. The reply was pretty much that the crew is usually very professional; that's usually not a problem. It hardly ever comes up. I then watched quite a few, "Making of" porn videos of someone recording the crew and such making certain porn (especially gay porn). There was one video where one of the stars was getting really close to climax and actually had to have everyone stop so he could calm himself down. Everyone laughed briefly, then someone promptly said, "Stop. Think about dead puppies. Breathe." I don't know if Japanese animation studios would be the same, but I can only imagine that a workplace is a workplace. You can't just whip it out; you have to keep it together. |

| Drawing lewd stuff feels weird only for a small time. Once you get used to doing it, it's not arousing or anything at all. And these guys do it for a living 12 hours a day, mostly in an office enviroment, save for the outsourced ones. Probably kills the mood, although I wouldn't know. |

| I actually don't think so. They just aren't quite in the mind frame for that, because they'd be focusing on animating 1 frame. That's not to say they won't get arousal at all, maybe their mind would stray and they'd be kinda turned on. | I've been told doujin artists often turned on by their own creations at least, don't see why the same couldn't be true for animators. But I think they ought to get used to it after a while, not to mention tired that it kinda becomes just another workload for them eventually |

| if we treat hentai anime industry as the same with conventional anime industry then: i dont think hentai need storyboard isn it, but if there's one, i guess the producer get a little pretty aroused when doing it. maybe, just maybe, the scriptwriter will get aroused pretty hard, as you can see, japanese hentai is really creative when describing what sex feels like, like you've been showed a whole new sets of wonderful word that you've never imagine a girl would say when having sex. i guess those creative scriptwriter will get aroused really fucking hard writing it. sex scene in hentai probably only takes 4-6 frames and repeated for desirable period, the one who draws it probably didnt get aroused because: its colorless, no voice, even if you treat it like a flip book, those frames doesnt do justice because yeah, the papers way too big, you already exhausted. the VA usually happens with a key animation only, so maybe the sound engineer and all the people who hear it will get aroused, but the screen doesnt do justice because its just important frame with important point on when to say this and that, it colorless. with the coloring, shading, filming, all checked, then. the final check, that's when everybody will get aroused probably. |
