Also, I would add that every character get's characterized and you can understand their reasons and why they are doing it no matter how pity or noble their reasons are, but most likely while you are saying it they will stop listening. And I don't think that everybody is going to enjoy it. I love chihayafuru manga it has many similarities to 3-gatsu and I don't know anyone that reads it even though I gave it to over 30 people.

Hey, I would love to be your friend. about selling the manga to others hmm some mangas are easy to sell because they have a specific thing that makes them special, but for 3-gatsu no lion the main premise is not interesting as you mentioned, but I would tell them that the MC can't power through any situation just because he is the MC. He has to think it through, fail and try again like any other character. I'm up to chapter 137 in the 13th volume, and it's still great up there, so keep reading it you won't regret it.

Sorry for the delay, I don't usually check the notifications since most of the ones I get are for plan to watch anime airing.

Hello ! Excuse me if my English is not correct because I am French.

When I talk about Sangatsu No Lion, I highlight the sweetness of this manga. Indeed, I think the characters are all very well done. Kiriyama is a boy so sweet and pure that he changes my way of seeing life. The kindness of the Kawamoto touches me, and their family history too (you'll see in the next chapters)
Every episode or chapters is a lesson in life

Beyond the characters, I compare Sangatsu No Lion to a sports manga. Shogi's matches make me shudder just like a sports match. It's amazing for a board game, and it can make some people curious!

To soak up the atmosphere, maybe seeing the anime first is interesting. There are nice graphics, pretty colors and beautiful music. ♥

I hope I have been helpful !

Dude I meant that u no longer have to sell this manga to friends, because I will be your friend who likes this manga aswell. :D
Now seriously, I don't know if u even have to do this, every1 has a different taste but if u feel obligated to do so u could just write an awesome review or write some recommendations. U can also make your profile in 3-gatsu no lion style, it would be also helpful.

Hi there, well... You know when I decided to read this manga I watched the trailer of the anime first and it took me by surprise How amazing it was. The sceneries was so beautiful as the design of rei’s character. Also the music was so inspirational. Then I started to watch the anime and after that I read the manga. How do I put in words? if u tell your friends this manga isn’t like others because it’s about a boy who is broken and has lost the hope, but this boy is going to be gradually more confident and brave with himself, and will fight against his unfortunate past filled by sad memories and when he has moved on from this finally he will reach the light, love, warming that he always has looked for. It’s like art o piece, each episode is like a poem. If u tell them all of this I’m sure they will be interested in this heart warming manga.

You might want to begin to recommend 3-gatsu based on the interaction between its characters, which is, to me, is the selling point of the entire manga and the anime. But for my viewing experience, I earned it a lot better by watching the anime, since Shaft's animation style that is full of symbolization and metaphors are effective in delivering the main characters' line of thoughts, and that's the reason that hooked me up to this series so far.

How do I check the statistics page? Drop me the link here.

i'am sorry to say that i'am not good at it either, i always have a hard time trying sell manga and anime to my friends, what i normally do is show then some screenshots from the manga/anime that i find interesting (without spoilers of cource) to see if i can pick their interest, well, i'dont know if this willl be of any use but is all i got, good luck and have a good day :)

good enough. But it's risky to recommend this anime, because not everyone will like it. This is the daily routine of three schoolgirls with not always funny jokes, but the direction there is at a very high level. And after viewing leave a pleasant aftertaste.

Oh right, thanks for stopping by! I’d love to be friends with you too as fellow Otaku buddies!

I’m currently reading the manga, I’m somewhere around Chapter 95 or so, and I’m loving the heck out of it too!
As per recommendations go, you’re right about the premise of this story being rather typical of sorts and again the manga is surely more than just the premise. It really is he’s to come up with reasons, now that I think of it. Something along the lines of “it’s a coming of age story which is exceptional” wouldn’t work. Umm, I could mention a few suggestions/points but I really don’t know if it’ll do the trick here.
- It involves bullying and actual humanly struggles and really just portrays human emotions in such an emotional and realistic manner, it’s incredibly touching! Having our main character be a teenager makes it all the more profound and legitimate.
- The setting is very real, nothing too ambitious or fantasy-like.
- It’s a sport manga through and through as it contains elements that all Sports manga have, it just makes you root for Rei every time there’s a match! Defeat or loss, it covers both sides in amazing detail and really is just phenomenal!
- Drama is perfectly well done, albeit criticisms of being too melodramatic, as human emotions are fickle and just a little spark is all it needs to burn endlessly imo. Hina’s Personal issues is really cripplingly depressing but so true, you just can’t hlep but hope everything works out! Such is with all the Characters, it truly a gem of this franchise!
- Romance moments are very rare in number so hardly any cheesy moments to downgrade the experience.
- Artstyle, be it manga or Studio Shaft’s adaption, is truly a delight! Moreover, the Sound Department, as a whole, is just stunning and god-tier!
- All in all, it’s just beautiful to the very max!

I don’t know just how much help I may have provided you with, I feel like it’s completely useless to be frankly honest. But that’ll be all from me, I’m not really the best at recommending shows to others.

I've just sent you a friend request.
Yeah, I like 3-gatsu no lion. It must be one of the first Slice of Life mangas I started to read.

What would I say to advise it ? It's not that easy... :p
It's true that the synopsis on MAL is not really attractive.
For me, the assets of 3-gatsu no lion are :
- like the others Slice of Life mangas (especially Flying Witch and Chihayafuru), it's relaxing
- this manga introduces us to a part of japanese culture through shogi
- like it's written on the fourth cover page of the french edition of the manga, Chika Umino tells with accuracy the everyday hesitations (I approve)
- finally, it also shows that something which appears like a game for most people can eventually be as difficult as any job (and maybe even more difficult in a way since there's a lot of pressure).

I'm not sure this will help. I just said what immediately crossed my mind :)

By the way, if you like 3-gatsu no lion I'd advise you to give a try to Flying Witch and to Chihayafuru (either the mangas or the anime).
