| IT'S BACK!!!!! I really liked how Tanuma sat down to listen to Natsume. And Natsume's parents getting a bit mad that Natsume left without letting them know. Some Reiko flashbacks. Very nostalgic episode. I thought Natsume looked a bit improved imo, much refined character style. ED song was beautiful, probably one of the best of the season. |

| Yay, it's back! Maybe they'll finally go into his grandfather's and Reiko's backstory in depth, as well as his parents. While I love this series, the whole "You're Natsume Reiko...'No I'm not'...'Yes you are!'" routine gets on my nerves sometimes. It gets old really fast. Considering encountering yokai is a daily occurrence for Natsume, he should really learn some basic self defense for yokai from some exorcists or something, or a pocket full of sand salt. At least Reiko often had her baseball bat with talismans with her. |

OTL It has never bothered me so much in any other anime aside from this one ;;; |

| Long time no see Well what can I say, a very traditional episode of Natsume Yuijinchou, in other words very good but also pretty repetitive by now, which is pretty much what I expect to the season to look like in general just like the previous ones have Sooo should be 7/10 in the end unless it pulls something unexpected out of the hat |

| Am I the only one that thought this episode was severely lacking? I love the series because of how calm and laid back it feels but when it gets serious it becomes quite tense, but this episode tried to be tense yet it felt rushed. It seemed like the side youkai were barely touched upon this time around. I sure hope this series picks up. |
| Wow... that nostalgia feeling. It will have to be natsume to really feel that anime is such a wonderful thing to look forward to. Touched and really, definitely a good season no doubt. |

| Have to agree that it did feel a little rushed. It was also funny how he conveniently kept bumping into people who would give him the exact information he needed at that point of time. BUT, regardless, glad the show is back, and to me, this already feels like an AOTS candidate. And Reiko being my favorite character from the show, and going by this episode, I hope this season focuses more on her. |
| Oh how I missed this anime~ I'm glad I got to re-watch the past 4 seasons before this aired. The art and animation does seem a little bit weaker but I'm fine with it. Everything else is the same. |

I know Shuka split off from Brain's Base, it's just that Shuka's Durarara x2 and 91Days kinda settled into their own character designs. The difference was slight for Durarara x2 but there was a difference, so I figured it'd be just a tad different for Natsume. |
| A pleasant and welcome return to Natsume and co's world. Definitely not the best episode of the series, but certainly a solid introduction to this latest season. Stand outs so far though are definitely the OP and ED though; they're excellent as usual. |
| I can't believe how much has changed in my life, and yet Natume comes back and it still feels the same. Or even better, as I am past "meeting first real friends" and "starting to have difficult conversations about feelings" period of life and can look into things a little bit different. How can a show be so simple an yet wholesome is beyond me. 10/10 those warm feelings are back! |

It feels like their is going to be a lot of growing and closure / accepting this season. Just thinking about it is making me feel emotional. (too sensitive.) |

| Nice episode. I also liked the OP/ED. 4/5 for this episode. Looking forward to the following episode. I'm sure there'll also be some emotional episodes (like in the previous seasons) that make you cry where the episode feels better than most other full 1 or 2-cour anime seasons. Preview with that little-girl-youkai already looked like it could be some pretty heartwarming stuff. |

| I’m so happy Natsume’s back. I was teary-eyed through the whole episode. From the very moment the opening started playing, I just… lost it. Everything —the atmosphere, the music, all the characters I know and love dearly, this feeling of nostalgia and contentment that settles in my heart to never leave— just comes together beautifully and I’m left in awe at how heartwarming and soothing it can be. I’ve missed it so much. It’s incredible to think four years have passed since the last season… I don’t want it to ever end. Nyanko-sensei’s as amusing as ever, and that one scene with Natsume confiding in Tanuma about his worries was so sweet… I’m glad he has come so far and has so much to treasure now. It’s also nice to see youkai’s memories, especially when they involve Reiko. Oh, Reiko; how could you always be so strong, so kind, yet so misunderstood? I just want to know she was happy, despite all. I can’t wait for more <3 ;w; |

| Anime of the year. Even Rakugo will have trouble comparing. Natsume is back. All's well in the anime world. I'm glad the director(and other members) of Brain's Base left and formed studio Shuka. Brain's Base is nothing but otome adaptations nowadays. They probably realized it was a sinking ship - as far as creativity is concerned. |

| It's baaack lasdljkj,, I'm super happy and the ambience of the anime is exactly how I remember it. (And the Sensei being a pig joke never gets old.) I hope we get to find out more about the mysterious Reiko now that the first episode's started off like this. |
