Came to see if Rokka no Yuusha miraculously charted again, but I leave disappointed.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

*1. 75,030 *75,030 Sword Art Online Vol.16
*2. 63,754 *63,754 Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Vol.17

Sword Art Online still the king, Mahouka sales not that far behind. Incredible sales for only, what, one day for both? Astonishing really.

20. *5,613 **5,613 Gekitotsu no Hexennacht Vol.1

They say don't judge a book by it's cover but that is a nice cover, looks familiar in style, after looking at the artist I know why, being from the writer & artist of Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon and Owari no Chronicle as well makes me want to read it badly. Also only 408 pages! Modest by his standards.

The Overlord boost continuing is very pleasing, anime has been strong so far so here's hoping that when it really kicks into gear the books get even more of a boost.

75K in 2 days for SAO vs 72K in 5 days for AW. SAO vol.16 will probably be to +150K next week, AW volume 17 doesn't even reach it in six months

am not trying to compare the two but Accel world volume 18 was ranked number 1 on its release and that was on June 8 the fact that it still keeps that spot even tho the anime ended years ago means people still have not forgotten which is a good thing in my book

It has. It's called Full Metal Panic! S1 with Gonzo sold 4.3k, Fumoffu with KyoAni sold 10k which prompted TSR with KyoAni that sold 6.3k. Not to mention the anime greatly boosted the LNs making it one of the best selling LNs of all time with 10 million+ copies sold. Also, TSR is considered vastly superior to s1 in every way and Fumoffu has garnered critical acclaim for its slapstick comedy.

Just curious, does LN is more expensive than manga? Cause I notice LN usually sell lower than manga.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Yes, some are just two times more expensive but others can be up to four times like monogatari ones.

But manga is also more mainstream than light novels so the numbers would still on average be higher anyway.

No they aren't.

Light novel prices are typically around 600-750 yen per volume. Tankobon format light novels (which are a minority) cost more - typically 800-900 yen per volume. Manga prices are typically around 450-900 yen per volume.

Kodansha BOX are an extreme(!) outlier, costing slightly over twice as much as a typical manga or light novel. It's also a very small (in terms of number of releases) publishing label.

I double checked and lowered the minimum slightly. Even that might be a little on the high side (430 would probably be about right).

I buy too much of my manga from less mainstream labels (which thus tend to have slightly higher prices) so my initial off-the-top-of-my-head figure was rather skewed as a result. Still, I'd say 500-550 yen for the typical manga, 600-650 yen for the typical light novel.

Ln in bunko format are around 100 yen cheaper in average than the average manga in japan.

Yes novels sells usually far less than manga. That's because it takes far less time to read a manga so you need more to spend the same time in the hobby, and because peoples don't like to read, they like pictures. It's the same for every country after all.

I'm disappointed at Gekitotsu no Hexennacht 's sales. I thought Kawakami's fans would support it more. I personnaly intend to buy that one, since it's Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon's sequel (note: by sequel, I mean a sequel happening thousand of years later in the same world, not a direct sequel, kyouhora isn't finished anyway).
