I think what got to me the most was seeing the candy laid next to the grandchildren.

I'm starting to view this series as less of a realistic portrayal and more of a dramatized story based on reality. It's done wonders for my enjoyment.

I think I've been tearing up ever since the first episode. Just comparing the events in this anime to what happened in Japan during 2011 makes it even more depressing, I bet tons of people would have been in a similar or even the same situation.

Every time people talk about the saddest anime I have never heard anyone mention this and I have to say this is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. I've already cried so much. Especially this episode. That poor old lady omg that was so sad.
This is so sad and beautiful.

Plenty of despair for the whole family!

This episode was a bit more somber than the others which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Seeing those two dead grandchildren was pretty depressing.

Great episode. The drama wasn't that impressive but I really liked the gloomy atmosphere that this episode had to offer.

8/10

I bet Mirai's future was determined by this episode. She is going to choose some job where she would be helping to people in need, that's for sure.

I still fear about Mari's mother, for some reason I'm thinking she would sacrifice herself for sake of her grandchild. It would be very tough on Mari when they get there.

The ED has the same sort of sound/feel as some of the 90s era songs...like Alanis Morisette or Sheryl Crow.

Furuichi is a good person and he is also a strong person, even though his grandson died, he remains strong and helps others.

Yuuki sleeps facing Mari's armpit, i wonder if his fetish is armpit lol.

If we seen more of Megu beforehand, this might've had more emotional appeal. But maybe Mirai will be less abrasive now.
