| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well this reminded me a bit of Long Riders. Even some of the character personalities feels the same and the segments with the food. Pretty natural way for them to do the storytelling so far with cute girls and bikes. Maiharu is cute so far, seems like the type that can easily make friends with others. With Long Riders (not returning until next month), I think could be a fun ride. The theme songs are kinda catchy... |

| So the main is a clumsy girl with a wild fantasy but despite al that this anime was pretty relaxing which was nice. The thing i mainly wonder about that is what will this anime do differently compared to Long Riders which is still airing right now. From what i can tell these girls are still in high school while Long Riders is about girls in university. I hope there will be a lot more differences tho. |
| Those backgrounds !!!!! I never watched a bicycle anime so I can't really compare with another one, but it kind of reminded of Yama no susume That was great for a first episode, I already love this Winter season ! |
| Wow, this was superb. I loved the atmosphere that was created here just by the artstyle alone. I got heavy goosebumps like two times in this episode. Characters are good so far, very likable. I'm already glad to have started this one, definitely the favourite by a long shot now for the non-sequels. |
| A very classic start for a series of this kind, Very nice episode on a whole. Great soothing and relaxing atmosphere, Lovely art for the backgrounds. Seriously, those backgrounds are gorgeous. Loved the beach reveal scene. :D Them birds though, who would've thought they'd be such ruffians. XD Liking the characters so far, looking forward to getting to know the rest of the cast. Also it was a very nice touch during the opening ceremony with Hiromi blowing the cherry blossom petal. Loved that scene. My favorite part of the episode was the sensei's speech, reminded me a lot of the speech given by Katori-chan sensei in Amanchu as well. XD The themes of their speech were quite similar and both were given in the very first episode of their respective shows as well. :D " If you begin moving forward according to your desires, you'll find you have the freedom to go there." "Where you go and what you do is upto you. All I can say is this, I hope you have fun." Lovely. :) |

| Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club first episode was nothing worthwhile, it's another cycling club series and I am unsure if I will continue watching this series. It's one of those series that you need to wait for the next few episodes to see if you like it or not. As some people call it "3 episode rule" which I try not do that but in this case I will have to check out episode 2 and see if I care about these characters and the story that follows. The OP/ED were cool. Animation was just as you expect with JC Staff, music wasent memorable for me, very cute, soothing and very pink for the sakura (Cherry blossoms). |
| And so the winter anime season finally begins for me with....Long Riders 2.0! XD Well so far so good. Hiromi and Tomo are cute together, and the cherry blossom/ocean backgrounds are beautiful. Should be a nice, soothing show. :) Also, just noticed today is my 5 year MAL Anniversary! Huzzah! XD |

| Yay for on-time delivery! Ep. 1 is in the bag. Liked it, of course. Funny how both LR and MinaKama are both based in Kamakura (even traveling the same roads, it seems). Be nice if MinaKama would list the routes, like LR has. Like the live-action bit at the end ('though they wildly oversimplified the difference between steel, carbon-fiber, and aluminum framesets). Looking forward to ep. 2! Cheers, all! |

| And I thought I could survive another season without having to watch another damn bike girl show. It tries to hit in between Bakuon's comedy and Long Rider's comfy feeling, but it just all seems off to me. It had one good joke but otherwise not very impressive. Also a male singer doing a song for a moeblob show what kind of horseshit is that? (Its the ED if you aren't aware) Not terrible though, and could get better as it goes along (like Sansha Sanyou did back in Spring of last year). |
I'm already calling that the blonde will be best girl. The backgrounds couldn't be better, damn they were beautiful. To be honest, as a first episode I wasn't impressed, but I'm watching episode 2 for sure. |

| Eh I'm kinda on the fence about this one. I feel like Minami is just a copied character from the MC of Bakuon and Long Riders. The scenery was amazing so I'll definitely give it that but as far as the show goes, probably a 3-episode rule. |

| Too much banal cute girl SOL nonsense. I was hoping for more focus on the cycling. Though I'll probably give it another episode. The live action bit at the end of the ep (sponsored by Pinarello??) did give me hope that this show really is going to focus on the cycling... Maybe they're just working up to it slowly. Despite not having the pretty background art this show has to look at, I feel like I enjoyed Long Riders a lot more because they got into the cycling from the get-go. If the girls here had more interesting personalities maybe I'd care about their random everyday nonsense more too. Really felt cookie-cutter to me. |
| Well the relaxing atmosphere is great. The art for the backgrounds is beautiful and overall it's a great looking show. I wonder what is is with bike shows recently, strangely enough, they click with me even though I don't necessarily care about bikes lol |

| The whole anime (character design, pacing, storyboard) feels like it was made in pre-2005 before K-ON! came out and ruined everything. Still not sure it's just classic or old-fashioned. Not anything outstanding that's for sure. |

| The scenery was beautiful, it makes me want to go there for a vacation. After the credits, they have a short segment with the girls from AOP where they talk about frame material which was a nice touch. With the MC unable to ride a bike, I'm wondering if this anime will be a little like Over Drive, were it started slowly into the cycling but then finished strongly? |
| Even if it was short lived, Long Riders spoiled me with a College based group and now having to downgrade back to High school makes me sad. Overall the episode was decent, did get pretty boring here and there though. Hope they handle the "selling out" tastefully. Also hope they focus more on biking than the whole "teehee xD we're clumsy cute girls teehee xD" thing they had going with the MC. |
| Looks like a very safe show. The art is great with stunning backgrounds. The characters all look pretty cookie cutter though. I'm not sure I'll be the right audience for this. |
| The volume of cycling anime we're getting nowadays pleases me so. The OP makes this one look a bit more competitive than Long Riders, but the episode was way more boring than Long Riders, so I guess we'll see what it's going for. |

| The artwork looked very beautiful. Loved the cherry blossoms and in general the scenery. Tomo teaching Hiomi how to ride her bike again was so funny. Girl keeps on falling down and then she strikes a beautiful and cute peace sign after she learns to ride again. +1 for Hiromi's stockings, I think they add a bit of sexiness to her character. She may be an airhead but I'm liking her character. Thought it was pretty funny how she didn't care about the birds wanting her lunch and she proceeds to chow down. After credits discussion about frame material was nice. I do wonder if they will continue to those short segments which would be pretty nice since they could explain into further detail about bikes in those short segments. Overall, I'm really looking forward to this show. |

| This season seems to be recycled but much worse versions of last season's anime. I already miss Long Riders. |

Ever since YowaPedal finished I've been looking for something similar, and Long Riders didn't really cut it for me, so fingers crossed. |
| J.C Staff's version of Long Riders. At least we can expect this one to air within this season lol. The only thing I was expecting from this was good use of colors. And I got that. The backgrounds were pretty good too. It has some nice overall artwork. Though Hiromi and Tomo are only part-time cute. There were some nice moments here and there. Overall a somewhat fun episode. Better than most of the day's shows. I'll give it another episode or two. |

Another boring all-girls anime about cycling, previous is not even finished due to studio's incompetence. Well, at least this time artstyle is better, especially backgrounds and CGI for bikes and cyclists is not as jarring. |

Lol the singer is a female - ika-san makes her own duets with a male voice and a female voice. Didn't know that to be quite honest. Still, she makes a very convincing male voice. |
| I've got a question the answer to which will decide me on whether I watch this or not: is this going to be a proper spocon at some point, with competitions and such, or is this gonna stay borefest slice of life about cute girls doing cute things with bikes, aka Long Riders 2.0? If it's the latter, it'll be a drop for me because great art alone isn't enough to keep me interested. |

| Those backgrounds are superb. They are so fantastic!! But this just makes the simple characters stand out too much that it's difficult to watch. With simple background it wouldn't be so bad but because they are so beautiful, the dull, single coloured characters truly break this. Truly... rather than making anime, I would be much more happier just listening to the music and watching the backgrounds for 20 minutes. Why did they put those ugly characters over the screen! In any case, simple drop but props for whoever made the background. Please move to a better company next time. The anime industry needs you! |
| Beautiful backgrounds!! At first I thought the man girl was ridiculously stupid but then the mother realized she never learned to ride a bike without training wheels. It's so nice and relaxing that I'll stick it out for the season. |
| Picked this up for no reason at all, just saw it, decided to download it without any knowledge as to what this was. First thing I thought, "this looks pretty good, wait... is this that bicycle one? God dang it of course it is". Now, hopefully this one has a proper run and is enjoyable the whole way, Long Riders was fun but just struggled at everything. Basically, this is Long Riders with an actual budget. Didn't think we would be starting from "learns to actually ride a bicycle" though, and it seems that our main protagonist will be doing some whining, though probably not as much as Long Riders. This is shaping up to be pretty good though. |
