| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well this episode shows that Ouma really does care a lot about Yukina. Not too much happening but Yukina exploring the outdoors does put her at risk. One thing I particularly find kinda interesting is the peculiar mech design of one of the droids. Kinda reminds me of something out of a video game. Ah, I hope Yukina gets better. Incoming catastrophe heading towards their planet as well ;o |

| So the guys survived after all but it seems the camera brat in particular has a death wish. Or at least he doesn't seem to be aware that he is putting himself in danger, the worst part is that he is bringing others in danger as well with his behaviour. Yukina seems to be in trouble as well. |
| Very pacifist and liberalist kind of thinking to return mukuro back to the aliens and believe in the potential of cooperation, which is very normal. Kinda curious who save Yukina at the end there. |

| That ending. Who the hell was in that blue thing? And looks like another attack is coming.... Gotta say, that the ending got me on the edge of my seat, especially with that BGM. Mika's room though, I noticed those Tari Tari and Nagi Asukara posters XD. Great taste there ;x. Great episode. Next episode can't come soon enough. |

| Hmmm, nice ep but I think the pacing in this ep was kinda slow. It seemed like they were stalling or something (maybe coz of it being 2 cours). Nonetheless good development. Ouma does care about Yukina and maybe now realizes by hearing Sophie's words that she's not really a tool. A big step for their relationship perhaps? Little action more adventures, Yukina exploring the remains of Wasabi clan was interesting as she wanted to know Ouma's past. We learned more about the artifact too, dope alien technology! So Yukina calling her father after she was rescued by a mysterious person sems to obvious point out to her dad of course, but should we really take the bait? Hope to find out more about it. The mecha designs are getting better btw. |

| The only person who can activate a giant mech, the only chance you even have at fighting back against these things invading your homeworld. Instead of keeping said person within reach of mech until threat is over. naw send them home and too school. pretend everything is normal and then on top of that place no one to watch this person so they don't die or disappear before the next invasion. anime logic has gone a little too far in this show. In even the slightest bit of reality she would be confined to base until wars over , and essentially if she didn't like it then things would go exactly how that blond girl said. they would strap her into the cockpit unconscious. I wonder if they'll have a romance though. |

I highly doubt that they would be heartless bastards enough to try and force Yukina into the mech against her will if she's not mentally ready. Considering that her mother works there and is also a high-ranking employee, she wouldn't let the higher-ups do anything to her daughter whatsoever. While it's true that she and Ouma are needed together in order to operate the artifact, she plays an important role as being another set of eyes for Ouma as he fights. @zurgboy00 should re-watch the last big fight in episode 6 and see how important her role was and how different it would've been if she was strapped in unconscious in that same fight. I would bet the result would've been almost completely different. Anyway, the episode in question today was great, showing how much more Ouma cares for Yukina. Hearing Sophie speak about Yukina partially negatively, whether she fully meant it or not, definitely spurred Ouma into action. Full props to Mika for being a big fan of Tari Tari and Nagi no Asukara! =) Shame about the delays with the team behind the subtitles, but they do have their own plans in life after all, so it doesn't hurt to wait a bit longer for a couple of episodes until order is returned to normal. |

| My god, those pair of bufoons that got caught on nuclear blast are alive!! that was stupid! They are in a world scale war, yet letting a very crucial asset with no surveilance. Monitoring the enemy's mothership 24/7 but not their asset. Considering UN are a biggest organization to exist in this universe, those people are incompetent as fuck! I mean, a police got report about oni's apearance, and didn't bother to assume it has a possibility for being true at all... lazy piece of shit. | Ok, this is getting ridiculous. Why would they force or put surveillance on the civilian daughter of a high ranking official who by some indications live nearby and visits the facility regularly as well as go to the school affiliated with the UN? More, importantly has been cooperating this whole time? Also, like someone pointed out she and hot boy samurai kun are not the only ones that have been fighting up to this point. It's not until she dissappeared that ppl have started to put forth the agrument of forcing her which has been part of the tension btw her and hot boy samurai kun right now. Also, there was a scene where an UN operator informed her boss that there have been reports of the low level mech being spotted. So there you go... As for those two clowns surviving the blast, I got nothing... |

| I loved the samurai facing Yahoo Answers moment (the fact I wasn't expecting any result from last episode try helped). His discovery and instant good riding of a non-japanese horse was dunny too. Good suspense with the arrival of a mysterious little blue cactus (?). 4/5 What? Were we supposed to become a one big Earth Federation in only 450 years ? |

Any girl who just wants to be normal would run away screaming bloody murder :P In regards to this whole discussion, she IS acting like a spoiled brat (for lack of a more fitting description) regardless of how overwhelming the whole situation is for her. Just think about it for a second, she's just essentially declared war against the enemy faction by defeating their pilot, she doesn't know the enemy's whereabouts, but the enemy clearly knows hers (or can at least track her down, as seen in this episode). Just from that information alone, anyone her age (or even younger for that matter) would agree that staying in a well protected military base is a million times safer than wandering by yourself into a forest without even telling anyone where you're going. I mean, was she expecting not to be chased or in any sort of possible danger, considering its in the enemy's interest to: a) use her as a hostage b) torture her for intel c) just kill her? Her behaviour this episode quite frankly just pissed me off, and felt like a cheap excuse to trigger plot progression and character development (which could have been carried out in a different way without all this absurdity and unnecessary drama). Also camera guy didnt die :( I mean I knew he wouldn't, it was more than expected, but he really deserved it, and he's annoying as crap, which doesn't help. Overall while some parts of the episode were nice (especially the parts with Kennosuke), this was one of the worst episodes overall imo. Hopefully the next one will be better and we get more answers with regards to Yukina's dad or how Yukina is related to the princess, that would be good. |
