Synopsis

Idly indulging in baseless paranormal activities with the Occult Club, high schooler Yuuji Itadori spends his days at either the clubroom or the hospital, where he visits his bedridden grandfather. However, this leisurely lifestyle soon takes a turn for the strange when he unknowingly encounters a cursed item. Triggering a chain of supernatural occurrences, Yuuji finds himself suddenly thrust into the world of Curses—dreadful beings formed from human malice and negativity—after swallowing the said item, revealed to be a finger belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen, the King of Curses.

Yuuji experiences first-hand the threat these Curses pose to society as he discovers his own newfound powers. Introduced to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, he begins to walk down a path from which he cannot return—the path of a Jujutsu sorcerer.

Jujutsu Kaisen is most notable for how it manages to avoid practically every pitfall that makes most Shonen difficult to watch. The power scaling isn't perfect, but its not obnoxious. Contrivances are relatively minimal, characters are quirky and entertaining, fight scenes are often exciting and varied, and the worldbuilding is consistent and engrossing.
The main character is likeable, and not quite as cliche as most shonen protagonists. The side characters are all a bit trope-y, but they're almost all likeable and entertaining enough that they fill the space between fight scenes effectively. The animation is mostly average, with a few moments of very pleasing animation ...

Mixed Feelings
It was quite enjoyable to watch. The animations are enough to make me want to appreciate these action-packed moments; it's undeniably cool to watch. The universe is nice, albeit somewhat cliché, although that's not really a problem...

...Except when it's way too much, to the extent that you truly feel a lack of personality during certain episodes. The four main characters are exactly the same as Naruto. Speaking of characters, few are endearing; giving us 2 minutes of background (which are also clichéd to the extreme) isn't enough for me to appreciate their stories. Sukuna is probably the only slightly interesting one; otherwise, they're very flat. ...

puputsu gaisen
Just another uninspired, cookie cutter, dime a dozen battle shonen.

The dialogue is terrible and the characters never shut up... Characters are constantly explaining what they're doing, how they're feeling and what they're thinking, rather than actually letting the audience have a chance to interpret anything for themselves. Hardly anything is left up to interpretation and characters are constantly spoon-feeding simple and rudimentary information to the audience. Nothing in the series ever warrants constant explanation, it's literally just needless fluff.

The "comedy" is absolutely atrocious and literally ruins the show. I understand it's like a kids show or whatever, but why bother setting up atmosphere and ...
