Welcome to my profile! I'm just another guy who enjoys watching anime.
First of all, I'm sorry I don't have any fancy type of letter, but I don't really have the will to search a way to make it seem so.
Also, since English is not my primary language, I'm sorry for the lack of vocabulary / repetitiveness you may notice in this supposedly brief intro.
I've watched anime since I was little, but I never have been really into it... I just watched a couple shows every now and then... That is, until Summer 2019, where I suddenly decided to watch an anime that had just finished and was still talked about (Rising of The Shield Hero), then I watched another really popular one that I always had the curiosity, but never was a priority in my 'must-watch-list' (Death Note) and, before I knew, I was already following a few of that season's shows airing.

Before you proceed to judge my 'Anime taste' I have a few disclaimers down below:

Firstly, a couple things I have soon noticed since watching is that the more shows I watch:
-the more conflicted I am about trying to be critical of it, and trying to enjoy it;
-the more accostumed I am to the tropes and the clichés, and therefore the higher the chance some character / scene may annoy me;
-the more bias I will have towards the ones I've watched earlier;
-the less impacted I may be by their story.

I'm also certain that, had I watched something sooner, I would've been more impacted by it, than watching it when I have already watched a dozen of shows before. The later I watch something, the less unique it may be to me.

It goes full-circle.

My score is (as everyone's) completely subjective. I may love a show that you personally have not enjoyed, and you may like a show that I may not.
I want to make clear that my enjoyment rating alone influences the other ratings the most... however I can't ignore ignore the other categories just beacause I haven't liked that anime in particular* (More on that at the bottom). What I mean by this is: there are plenty of shows that are lacking production-wise, compared to others, but if they still made me entertained enough, I'm able to overlook that and still rate them highly.
On the other hand, even if a show may have been top-notch in their production department, if I don't like the characters, or the story, it will bring the rating down.
I have a few shows that are considered to me incredibly overrated/overhyped, and others that are criminally underrated/underwatched.
Expectations play a part in this, whether due to their average score, their popularity, etc... No one is immune to them. With them, I may have been let down, or blown away by them.

I haven't dropped an anime, no matter how bad it is/was (manga is a different story). Most shows I've watched have either piqued my interest and/or are generally conceived pretty good. If they weren't, why would I even be watching?

I use the story, visuals, sound, characters and enjoyment when rating a series from 1-10 and then divide by 5 (the same as MAL, basically).
Lastly, even among equal ratings, there are shows that I consider slightly better than others, but can't simply rate them higher because of the reasons explained above. Ex: I may have ranked 2 shows as a 9, but their not-averaged (don't know if this word exists) score may be 8.6 in one, and 9.4 in the other, making them both the same average number, but still a bit different in my personal ranking.

*I also don't think I can rate any anime below a 3 (considering the categories) , no matter how bad it may seem, because there surely must be something 'redeemable' about that specific anime. (for instance: the soundtrack, art style, animation cuts, any likeable character...)

All anime series in the 'plan to watch' and 'on-hold' lists are essentiatly the same, with the difference being that the ones that are on the 'plan to watch' haven't come out yet, and the ones 'on-hold' have already aired. Basically to save some time when deciding what to watch next.

My favourites are in a rough order. Some of them could be 1 or 2 spots above/below, but the closer to the top they are, the stronger I feel towards them.
